Hi everyone!!


We are back from WDW. Got back almost a week ago but things have been crazy busy at work and at home. DD has been out of school sick all week. Haven't posted at all except for a thread out on the main board about losing all of our Disney pictures.

Have played a bit and started laying out the grids in our town - hope to get on here more as well as playing with some of my AC Peeps soon!!

Congrats on all of the people with perfect towns - I am going to spend the next week or so planting and getting ready to try for it!

LOL...That was all we wanted too was to stop getting that stupid D or C- on a good day.

We returned a few days ago from a wonderful 7 day, 8 night mother/daughter trip. DD (12) and I had a magical trip despite the crowds, the heat and foot pain! We did do a couple of "forbidden" (TGM red) nights - DHS on a Fantasmic night (starting at 5:00-ish) just for atmosphere and Fantasmic and we also did the MK evening EMH that ran on our first park day. We spent the day at Animal Kingdom, went back to Pop, and were in bed by 9:00. Around 9:30, my daughter looked at me and asked if I was actually tired. I knew where she was going with that and by 10:00 we were dressed and on the MK bus to do the 11PM-2 AM EMH! We made it until a bit past 1:00 and got a ton of rides in - most of FL, plus BTMRR, and Pirates. We did a couple of late/half days to help get us through the week and all in all had a nearly perfect trip.

Here comes the bad news. Though we returned on Sunday evening, I haven't been able to post because I am just so sad about this last part. Somehow, somewhere in the last 2 days of our trip, I lost our main memory card with nearly 600 pictures on it. We had switched it out to an empty memory card on Friday and sometime between then and our flight out early Sunday morning (ME left at 3:15 AM!) I lost the card. I have checked with both the Pop and Parks Lost and Founds and the card wasn't turned in. I have triple checked every nook and cranny in our suitcases, backpack and purses. No card. My fear is that I accidentally threw it away in the mad packing frenzy that began at 1:00 AM Sunday morning or that it somehow got dropped on our floor and vacuumed up. It was a little black SD card and would have been nearly invisible on the Pop carpet.

We do have about 50 pictures on the 2nd card - unfortunately, most of them are seagull shots that DD took while I was making a FP run. We lost over a hundred really good AK pics - at least 25 awesome Devine shots that I was going to pick from to create a photo collage to frame and put in my newly green bedroom and a bunch of great Safari shots (rhinos in the road, baby elephant, baby giraffes, etc) as well as all of my other AK shots. We lost all of our Hollywood Studios pictures along with all of our Epcot pictures and all MK shots too except for a few night time Dreams pictures and some photos DD took on Small World.

We did end up with 60 pictures on our Photopass so at least we have some mementos of the trip but my heart is broken that all of those other pictures are gone forever.

Bless my sweet DD's heart. When I was on the verge of tears (again!) last night, she looked at me and said "Mom, we have something better than pictures, we have our memories" She is, of course, right and I keep reminding myself of her words but the loss of all of those pictures is still hard to deal with.

That bites about the pictures. I had ordered the disney disc and lost it. I called to get a new one and they said they had already gotten rid of the pictures.. I was so bummed. I had over 300 pictures on there. I know how you feel since I didn't take any of my own that trip! Your dd is right you have your memories but I know its not the same..

I'm so sorry about your Photopass CD being lost - I guess we will both have to go back simply for more photos, hmmmm?

That is sweet! I'm sorry you lost your pictures. That is totally heartbreaking. Just think of it as an excuse to plan your next trip to take more pictures.

Congratulations on that add on!! Our town is wishes. We wanted to name it something DVCish but nothing would fit that we would pick, so we decided on wishes (when my DS typed it in, he forgot to use an uppercase W). Plus Wishes is our cats name and he has a Hidden Mickey on his side!!!

You will have to come visit wishes sometime!!

Hiya! I am not sure if I will actually follow through with the perfect town thing but I did plot the acres and I have been saving up flowers and I will spread them around today, then pull up the plot marks and see what happens. I have had rotten luck with the hybrids (have 2 orange cosmos stored in one of my drawers!) so I am going to try to get some new ones now that spring is here.

Annika is much better now that she is on antibiotics - she ended up with bronchitis and a sinus infection. My foot is pretty good - it was a rough week but I just pushed through it and iced it a lot! What a pair we are. LOL!!

If we had the money, I would book a May trip ASAP. LOL! We are getting out of school early because no snow days were used this year so I don't have to work between May 22nd and summer school which starts the first week of June. Soooo tempting but we are soooooo broke from this trip!

Well, I got a nice surprise when I logged on today. I now have a perfect town!

I noticed that I had a second Jacob's Ladder growing, so just for chuckles and grins I thought I'd check to see what Pelly had to say. She gave me the "sweeeeeeet" message!

Now I just have to keep this up for the next 2 weeks. Oh the pressure.

Congratulations. It is a weird kind of pressure. I'm on day 15 and if I don't get my golden can tomorrow (I think) then I will be disappointed. How sad is that, considering it's only a game.

It's become an obsession for the last 15 days to make sure I didn't do anything that would throw off the rating even the slightest. I'll be glad when I get the dang can so I can relax. I'll be going to WDW at the end of April for 12 days and I figured my town is going to go to shambles while I am gone and don't play for that long, so I was determined to get the can before it turns into a dried out, wilted flower, bug infested, weed infested town.

Hey there! And welcome back! I feel your pain with losing your pictures. One year while we were at WDW, I somehow managed to format the memory card on our camera and all our pictures were lost! I was so upset! We were able to recover some of them, but I'll never forget that sick feeling I had once it happened.

Plus we're going to be out of town over Easter, and that's right at the end of our 16 days. I think I might do some safe time travel (log in, water all flowers, talk to Pelly, log out, bump up the clock by a day and do it all again) to speed things up. That is, assuming I can find time to play at all.

I think I've become obsessed with playing the bunny day "game". At least DH thinks I've become obsessed with it. But on the positive side I have "paid off the mortgage" (I have a 2nd level and a basement) and our town is getting a bridge. I still want to get a fountain - so I'm still playing "April 12th".

It's the game's fault...when I got all the egg furniture I sold it and received over 107,000 bells from Tom Nook! That's alot of bells - but now I'm debt free! Yippee!!

Don't feel so bad...that is what I did during festival. I bought all the Princess set at Gracie Grace and paid of 2 room expansions (I just need to pay off my basement). DD said she was tired of playing hte same day so we started going forward again, I just played March 1 yesterday. I've actually considered going back to play Feb23, to earn some bells, but I'm afraid of what will happen to the town and DD and DS's characters! (we need a gamer smilie)

Today is a good day in my town! I FINALLY got the golden axe from Serena!

We also got a pink tulip for the first time today! Now if I can only hold on to my perfect town for a few more days...
