Ok I have been playing this game non stop for the past week since I bought it! I have the one on DS as well. So who wants to exchange friend codes, PM me!

What is the difference between the lighthouse and the windmill in terms of what they will do for your town? I have enough to give to the town fund and I'm not sure which one I want.

Do you have me on your list? I have you, but never see you, so I thought I would ask.

So thought it would be fun to post some info about your town. We would love to exchange codes and go visit, but a lot of times we have problem with connections and it will freeze if we have visitors or if we are out visiting.

Our town is wishes -
Town Tune - Indiana Jones Theme (just changed today from Under The Sea)

Native Fruit - Peaches but through friends and traveling we have all fruit now!

Neighbors - Fang (Wolf), Eunice (Sheep), Jeremiah (Frog), Olivia & Aknah (Cats), Pate (Duck), Gala (Pig), Roald (Penguin)....I think thats it. Hope I am not forgetting anyone!

We are in the process of getting our first bridge. We are also working on trying to get the perfect town. I think we are going to try to work on 8 acres right now (of course easy ones down by the water and by our houses) and make the others some fruit forrests!

Oh wow, this is interesting, I guess I thought all towns had the same neighbors! (even though I guess that wouldn't really make sense...haha!) Here's my town info:

Town name: The Bay

Town tune: not sure, I just made a random one

Native fruit: peaches...trying to get more!

Neighbors: Cube (penguin), Cookie (dog...she is sooo adorable!), Felicity (cat), Jambette (frog), Kody (bear), Midge (a bird), Freya (wolf), another penguin and a rabbit (I'm drawing a blank on their names right now The rabbit may be Tiffany). I think that's it.

Store: Nook 'N Go...it just got remodeled

I've only had the game a couple weeks and I am addicted.

Neighbors: Jitters, Robin and Anchovy (birds), Caroline, Nibbles and Mint (squirrels), Peewee (gorilla) and Peaches (horse). We are soooo tired of the squirrels and birds, we'd like to get some new neighbors! We used to have Cookie and Chow. We liked Cookie, but Chow was something else. We've also had Boone and Cesar, two other gorillas. For some reason we keep getting the same types of animals so we were really excited when Peaches moved in.

We have 4 bridges, the water fountain, and a lighthouse in our town.

DD and I are completely addicted to this game! We have all the fish and bugs that can be had to this point ---- except a spider! I have yet to even see a spider! DD caught a bee, I still can't catch one of those! But we have one in our museum, thanks to her!
I had to come back and edit this! I forgot that I also don't have the butterfly (I forget the name) that is attracted to blue, purple, or black flowers. I can't seem to make those hybrids... I'm still trying though! We have orange and pink roses now, and have had orange pansies and pink cosmos, but they were lost in our time traveling disaster! Hopefully we will get a blue, black or purple hybrid soon!

I also had a pretty successful day today in terms of finding new stuff. I found 3 fossils (including 2 for a sabertooth tiger...it is now finished!), 2 new fish, and a new bug. Yay! And I found 2 gyroids buried in the ground. That was kind of strange.

You can buy them from Redd's but the majority are fake. My sister said she dug up a painting, too.

You need to have all of a set on the same floor to get all the available points for the set. I have all the Jingle stuff on my first floor and a mismash of random stuff on the second floor and I got 70,000 points on Sunday.

Bummer! This means I will have my kitchen and bathroom on the second floor and my bedroom and living room on the first...sigh.

I know before I tried having one style of furniture on one floor and another on the top and I was fussed at by Lyle...

I was out shaking trees today and caught 5 spiders. I also got stung by bees 3 times, but wasn't able to catch one. I don't have any hybrids yet, so no special butterflies.

I just started playing this, though I got it for Christmas. I played the DS version for a while, this is a bit different.

I agree about Redd's. I've gotten seven paintings from Redd's with only one being fake. He's been my only source for paintings.

I gave up on a perfect town. No matter what we do, it doesn't move beyond D+/C-. Now for my house the highest I've had is 106,000. But that's just because I have the whole Pave series on my first floor. Before that I got 96,000 for having my basement packed with all gyroids.

I still can't find a spider or grow a stupid hybrid flower! We have four of us playing but the other three gave up the Wii for lent, so I'm on my own trying to do all this.

One of the animals from your town will ask you about Redd's (if you know his store).. just say no or never heard (whatever the prompt says) and the animal will send you the invitation through mail.. you will get the invitation the next day in mail.

I've been playing AC for about 2 months now and I just finally received my invitation just two days ago. I'll probably come by there later today.

Same here. My daughter and my bf have caught one.. (my son doesn't play AC that much) and they both caught Tuna. They told me they caught the tuna right after they caught the Koi. They told me that when I catch a Koi, run to the ocean and I'll be able fish for Tuna. I did that.. it didn't happen. My daughter said maybe because I kept on bumping on to trees and slowed me down to the ocean. I don't know if there's any truth to what my family is telling me. I just gave up on tuna.

I'm almost half way done with my fossils. Half of the room is complete. And now.. I'm noticing that I am not finding much fossils anymore. Sometimes I am not finding any at all. What is up with that? When we first started playing, there were lots of fossils and gyroids to dig.. but now.. there's hardly any. I'm trying to collect Nebuloid gyroids.. it is a set of 6. I only got 2 and when I dig one.. it's not what I want to complete the set.

I buy the paintings from Redd's whenever he has a new one. Most of mine have been fake too. I find gyroids buried from time to time. I am not collecting those, so I just sell them.

Wow, 106,000 sounds great! I have the complete Gracie Grace Princess theme on my 1st floor and all I get is 70,000.I am in April, and just the other day I saw a spider dangle down from a tree after I shook it. I wasn't quick enough to get it with my net tho.

Every time I buy something from Redd's shop, he gives me an invitation to give to someone. So if you have Wi-fi and need one, let me know and I will be more than happy to pass it along to anyone who needs one

1) What are these hybrid plants? How do I make/get them?

2) What is a town tune, and how do I change mine? I've just got whatever the game came with.

3) Are there special ways to make big bells that I don't know? I've been doing the radish thing (both red and white) when I can, selling the fruit that isn't native to my town, selling fossils that have already been donated to the museum, and selling fish. I've upgraded my house several times (it's 3 stories now--ground floor, brand new 2nd floor, and upstairs where the bed and phone are), but I don't have enough bells for a whole set of Gracie Grace stuff by a long shot. My money has mostly been going for paying off my mortgage each time.

1) Hybrids are new colors of the plants you have - like orange pansies for example. You get them by planting two existing plants next to each other and hybrids might pop up near them. Some combos are: red+yellow = orange, white+red = pink, red+red = black , white+white = blue. Not all flowers make the same color hybrids. There a chart somewhere online that shows all the combos.

2) Town tune is the jingle that plays when you talk to other characters or other times). It's not the music that plays in the background most of the time. You can change it by talking to Pelly or Phyllis at town hall.

3) You are doing pretty much everything you can to earn bells. The people I know who are really wealthy hit it big on the stalk market. They buy lots of turnips every week and monitor lots of towns to find the best price to sell at.

40 Yes. Stand at the foot of the bed with another bed in your pocket and press A (I think, might be B) and it will give you the option to switch. You can't change anything else in the room, though.
