I was wondering about bring a camera to the Dolpin Encounter. Would this be a good idea? Would I have a place to put it?? Should I bring one of the under water throwaway cameras? Any other information you could provide would be helpful.

we did not go on this excursion as we got our ressies goofed, but we did sit through the briefing, and underwater cameras are NOT allowed. You can bring a camera and use it above water. They do sell their packages of photos for about $50.

but will not allow it in the Dolphin area. Bring a regular camera as well since you will be able to take pics of the parrots, hermit crabs and the turtles.

They have cubby holes in the woman's change are where you can store your stuff.

Enjoy your excursion!

Just curious, did they give you a reason why underwater cameras are not allowed in the Dolphin enclosure?

How secure is the women's change area? I would love to take my video camera, but all 3 of us are doing this excursion. No one to stand around and just take pictures.

Also, did y'all wear your bathing suit to the excursion, and then change into dry clothes before you went back to the ship?

Thanks for any advice. We are getting very excited about this part of our cruise!

bumping, 'cause I'd love to know the answers to these questions too! ::yes::

As for how secure, well, there are no locks on the cubby holes where you leave your stuff, but you also have to remember, those that are on this excursion are all from the Disney Cruise Line. They do not book outside people while Disney is there.

Personally, I just wore my bathing suit and a pair of shorts. I did not even think to bring a change of clothes! Too early in the morning to think!LOL If you are planning on going shopping right away, I would bring a change of clothes. We were held up leaving so we were late returning. Luckily what I wanted was at a kiosk at the dock!
