Angsty Date Picking-Summer 2012

Whenever I plan a Disneyland trip I agonize over which set of dates to go with. I know it will be crazy busy this summer and we're ok with that. BUT if I can time it in such a way to minimize the crazy, that would be a good thing, right? The last two times we went mid-July. Right now I'm thinking maybe more end of July to mid-August to allow a little more time after the opening of Carsland.

Those of you who travel more towards August...what say you? Is there a part of the month that is a little better or should I not even try to anticpate that and just pick a date and be done with it.

I appreciate the opinions of more expereinced travelers!

Yes. You are past the AP's last chances at the park and 4th of July week. The end date is before APs can come back in.

Being an August goer I have to agree with Ski. Avoid the 20th on.
