Angry : can't cancel trip

We've begged air transat to transfer our flight to later this month like Air Canada, USAir and Delta are doing, but they won't. They WILL fly on Monday and if we're not on it - too bad.

Air Transat is a charter carrier, meaning that they don't operate on the same kind of sked as the Big 6 airlines and aren't bound by the same rules. Likely no other charter is allowing people to cancel either, and unless it was physically impossible for the plane to fly I'd be really surprised if they'd allow it at all.

The Big 6 airlines will impose cancellation policies (normally) for cancellations, but for charters generally it's no changes, no cancellations, period.

Just checked Skyservice-they are allowing flight bookings to Orlando for Sep 13-21st-no messages etc.
Air Canada has an advisory on their site-will waive fees etc if you want to reschedule-but will allow an online booking for same dates as well.
