And finally (boy will this one be unpopular), I don't get NASCAR! Sorry just don't get it.
Much as it pains me to say this.............................I agree with Lou on this one:eek:
I get why you'd wanna look at Jr but the whole thing about watching them drive in circles just baffles me:confused:
Give me a hockey game anyday!

I believe it was Ted Turner who once described NASCAR as a bunch of white guys making left turns and he didn't see the attraction either.
:rotfl: :rotfl:

:p

BTW Steph, I always thought it was "Gentlemen, start your engines" Your sig says "Gentleman to start your engine"

Sounds like you are from Russia (or are you trying to tell us something else?)

OMG I am
:rotfl: :rotfl:
you are all too funny today.
I knew I should have checked in earlier this morning. Instead I was on the phone with a friend for about an hour discussing MIL's.
I dont get NASCAR either, my BIL ands family are totally into it, but I just dont get it. Its almos as boring as watching golf. BIL even gave us 2 tickets to a race in Michigan last summer. My plan was to have DH invite a buddy to go to the race with him, but I would tag along and hang out at the hotel or go shopping. Turns out we couldnt go, so I eBayed the tickets.
We got some snow today, but no school cancellations. I dont remember the last time our schools closed for a snow day.
It is supposed to snow on and off most of the day, but I am heading out to Target in a few minutes. Sam is chomping at the bit to buy the latest Disney DVD (Alice in Wonderland). Target is only a couple miles form here, and I dont have to take any main roads, so the drive shouldnt be bad.
My plan for the day also includes (real) laundry. Boring.
Have a good day all :)

Let the record show that is now twice in one week this has happened. First it was SB and now Lars. And there have been others who, while they have not said it so directly, have also agreed with me on various slices of life. So there! :teeth: (I'll bet I can get LK, Carol and Gail to agree with me on something next!)

Unfortunately Lars, you're probably a Wings fan and I am a die hard Rangers fan so there goes that short lived agreement.....

Ok, Lou, I'll agree with you on the NASCAR thing, but that's IT!

And hardy har har, you guys are now stuck with the ever pleasant Jaromir Jagr - what a crybaby!!!!!

You Might Be A NASCAR Redneck If. . . . . .

You think the last four words of the National Anthem are "Gentleman start your engines!"....

You think heaven looks a lot like Daytona Beach, Florida....

You've ever written Richard Petty's name on a presidential ballot....

You're not actually able to read The Richard Petty Story, but you sure do like to look at the pictures....

You have the word NASCAR in your wedding vows....

You go to a stock car race and don't need a program....

You have a lifesize cutout of Dale Earnhardt in your Living Room....

You know who is actually leading the Winston Cup series....

Your favorite NASCAR souvenir was a direct result of a crash in turn three....

You spell out NASCAR in Christmas lights....

You can remember the entire NASCAR series schedule but can't remember your wifes birthday, kids birthday, or anniversary....

You can remember every NASCAR driver and their car number but can't remember how old your children are....

You think the most effective form of advertising is on the side of a car going 200 mph.....round and round and round....

The word "Bank" makes you think of turn three at Daytona....

Your wife's nickname is "Lugnut"....

You've spent more time on the top of a Winnebago than in one....

You know the "Back way" to Talledega....

You can change a tire faster than you can change a diaper....

You hit the wall when Earnhardt hits the wall....

You make engine noises while watching racing on TV....
