Angels Games and other Anaheim attractions

So, I just found out today I'll be able to plan some time in Anaheim with DBF. In addition to Disney, I'd really like to get Angels tickets, and there's a Friday night game with fireworks the weekend that I'm looking at, which is perfect timing as he wouldn't be able to take Friday off work. How far in advance would you buy the tickets? I'd buy them right now as I got fairly decent seats on an earlier search, but we still don't know if the date will work and/or how many people may join us. I thought about just buying a block and selling them if needed later on.

Secondly, what else can be done in the area that ISN'T Disney? I'd like to move over to Anaheim from SD on Thursday, but as he'd have to work all day Friday, I'd have the day solo and wouldn't want to enter a park without him!

You don't say or I missed it when you are talking about. We went to an Angels game last summer and it was a highlight of our trip. I was afraid to buy in advance because I wasn't sure what we would be doing and didn't want to lock myself in. I went an hour before and bought tickets that night with no problem. Have fun

Ehh, I get too nervous and I knew DBF would want lower level, close seats, so I went ahead and bought them online. I just hope they're mailed in time! Thanks though!! I'm really excited as I picked an Orioles game, aka the team I grew up on. I think DBF is probably going to leave me at the hotel if I go decked in Orioles gear =)

Angel's games are a blast you will have fun! I try and go to 20 or so a year!
There are lots of great restaurants in the Anaheim area but I don't know if you would want to go solo! My wife and I are big foodies so we are always trying new spots around Anaheim
