Angels & Demons: Did you like it?

Has anyone seen this? Was it as good as the first one?

I liked it, but I did not love it like I thought I would. I really loved the book, which may be why. I remember when I read the book I could see it play out in my head as a movie. So I guess I felt like I had seen it already. lol.

I liked the movie and think it may have translated to the screen better than The Da Vinci Code because the locale is more contained and the story is less complicated. DH also liked it, and he has not read the book. He liked The Da Vinci Code movie better than I did -- I thought it was too simplified. I thought the book Angels and Demons was better than The Da Vinci Code, though.

While I love Tom Hanks, he has no charisma to be the character of Robert Langdon. So it totally ruins the movie for me. So I will not go see it.

I agree. I saw the movie a couple of nights ago and didn´t like him in this movie at all. That being said we didn´t like the movie at all. Very uninteresting characters, bad directing and just not a whole lot to the otherwise very intriquing (sp?) storyline. Somehow, just VERY Hollywood.

Right. They took an "Indiana Jones" type movie and tailored it to be boring, so Tom Hanks could headline the movie with his name.

Can you tell it really ticks me off they did this?

Tom Hanks is not a character actor in that range.

I am happy that Star Trek stepped out and picked some lesser known actors. That is what movie making is about.
