An update on the construction: The addition is on, all the demolition is complete, all the walls that are being knocked out are out, bathroom is gutted, new doorways and walk in closet are all framed in, and the new roof is on. They've raised it and we now have cathedral ceilings.
We are now down to 1 bathroom
this could get ugly.

The story that Marsha was talking about was the lead story on our local newscast last night. They lived about 1 1/2 hours north from me. The story said it seemed like the mother was trying to get the girls to safety. The 4 mo old was still alive as of last night.

Sandi, glad to hear that the construction is moving along... but good luck with only one bathroom... I remember when Luis and I had only one in our apartment for about 11 months... hated having to wait/share that one
Lorraine, I did see Star Wars (actually in the movie theatre as well... not that I had remembered the 1st one much as I was a little over a year old by the time we saw it) and we do have them on VHS (2 copies actually... one opened and one in the original packaging untouched). We still have a big Boba Fett toy from way back when. But now you have me wondering if they changed the ending to Return of the Jedi or not... I hated the newer version

I dont think I have much planned for today. I may have to go help set up a back to school breakfast for the teachers (breakfast is tomorrow, decorating tonight). But other than that, we are going to enjoy our last couple unscheduled days.

Sandi, I'm sorry you guys are down to one bathroom. When we got married we moved into a 900+ square foot house with 1 bathroom. It was fine until we had two kids. By then we were bursting at the seams. I'm not sure I could go back now that the kids are older. 1 1/2 I could live with, but 1 bath with 2 adults and 2 teens would be hard. I think I'd go mad! So anyway, I feel your pain. Hope the bathroom is finished soon. And I agree, we'd love to see some pictures!
I had to get up too early this morning. David had to go practice with the trumpet section. They have marching competition by section at parent night (tonight) and last year the trumpets won. So the pressure is on to keep their title. He says they pretty much have it under control except for their dance.
Can't wait to see this one. Hope they don't make me march again this year. It was terrible! I never knew I couldn't march! I'm clutching the camera and praying they don't force me to make a fool of myself again. LOL!Mom called to tell me she was on the road. She decided she should go on to KC. That's good. She can spend some time with her friends and also with the family, then caravan home with us if she wants to. I've go to go pick up her dog when David gets home. I'm "babysitting" again.
