Okay I just read the rest of the thread. Lou, everything that you said makes total sense!! We dont' use the firewall here either (we have a router and that gets us) and we are fine at home as well.

I love AJ's pic!!!!!

Any time Donna!

Alan... you're cute :)

Steph - I like the picture of AJ. :D

Quick homework question here: Logan was given the length and width of four dinosaurs. He has to find the approximate ratios of weight to length and then put them in order from smallest to largest. Does that mean that the weight is the numerator and the length is the denominator? SARAH - this means you! (and anyone else who can help) Thanks!

Ummm... good luck LK... I am awful at math!!!

Steph, do you take bribes :teeth:

The DIS meet picture(s) should be posted on Friday
Will let you know when it posted.

Looking for something easy to cook? This ham recipe is the best! Put a large shank or butt ham with bone in a roaster with a lid. Rub with a generous amount of brown sugar. Drizzle with 1/2 quart of honey. You can add a squirt of water in the bottom of the pan, but it makes plenty of it's own juice, in my opinion. Bake 14 hours at 225. The last hour you can drain the juices and add a bottle of BBQ sauce if desired. I like it plain. It's beyond yummy! My kids don't like ham too much, but they LOVE this recipe. Warning: it does sort of fall apart. It's very tender.

Wow, that was a chore... I just boxed up the most interesting set of items I have ever shipped in my life, for the fall exchange. I am just grateful to my dad for having asked for a specific pair of hedge trimmers a while ago, or I would have been w/o a box for this one
I'll be sure to get it in the mail tomorrow ::yes::

Missy, that sounds wonderful!!!!! My dad and I were just discussing Thanksgiving plans. My sister somehow decided to ditch the wedding  and my Dad decided it was a perfect year to do a "traditional Thanksgiving" with his Mom, sister, MIL and my Aunt & Uncle. *sigh* I was hoping to get out of cooking this year... oh well... but we were discussing wonderful things I'll make for them all. Maybe I'll suggest a ham this year instead... that sounds delicious!

Gail, congrats on the team's win!!

:wave2:

Donna~I sent you my opinion on the outfits.......even though I'm not cool;)

So....I'm thinking I gonna need to take up heavy drinking to get through the teenage years with a hormonal girl:rolleyes:

Lou, I had DH experiment and that didn't fix it. :( I did find a back door way of getting to my user cp. Now I've just bookmarked it. This is really odd.

David's ear is still hurting really bad. Poor kid is miserable. He's hoping he'll feel better before we head off on vacation Friday.

Steph, I liked the photo, but I know how you feel. It's irritating when you don't feel like the photo is your child at his/her best. That aside, I think it's cute.

E, my friend gave me the recipe several years ago. They fix it for holiday celebrations and I just loved it. If you don't mind meat that is sort of falling apart, this is a great crowd pleaser. Oh and the bigger the better. You'll just have more leftovers for sandwiches later.

Hello all. My mother has gone home. It was a long 2 weeks. Pete was snooping on my desk area and discovered my SWA confirmation to Philly. He wanted to know if I had a boyfriend that I was going to visit. I told him yes, he has large ears and a tail! He just sighed. My exchange goodies are looking for a box. And even though I have several very nice things, I think it is still lacking, so I will be looking for something unique tomorrow. I have not slept well during the visitation and I am not helping myself by being up so late tonight, but Fred and Ginger were "Dancing Cheek to Cheek" and I couldn't resist watching.

No good catchup here, sad to say.

Wow! Cool colors for the DIS!! I just got on here today.

Donna - I guess I'm not w/ the "cool" crowd...........:( ;)

Steph - I think his picture turned out just fine.

Sandi - sorry I missed you. hope you have a great time this weekend.

MP - that ham recipe sounds wonderful. what time of day do you start it though?

Gail - yay for Matt's team!!!

LK - I don't do math!!!!!!!!!:teeth: ::yes::

After I picked Brendan up at the bus stop, I noticed there was something on my front porch, and lo and behold, it was a package from the Loubon household! It was from Gerri, and I got a very cute Irish Snowman sitting on a pot of gold ornament and a set of Guinness (sp?) Beer glasses. My DH already spotted those - how did you know that there is Guinness beer in the fridge?! Thanks again Gerri!

SB, I usually fix mine overnight and then just warm the meat up. If you wanted to serve it for lunch you'd have to put it in the oven 10:00 the night before (for it to come out at noon). If you wanted it for supper, you'd have to get up in the middle of the night to have it come out of the oven at the right time. Like I said, I just precook mine and warm it up.

morning all

just put the radio station on my computer at work!

good day here today, only in the office until 11am and then out for a "working" lunch.....probably back in the office by about 3ish
