Morning Everyone!

LK - are you going to be late for work?

Bethany - that was so sweet of Sam to give a lot of his things away.

E - i won't call you a geek. i wish i knew more about computers.

Still raining here. My pool is probably going to overflow pretty soon. My sweeper died on me yesterday. I even bought a Hoover last time to make sure I got a decent one. Anyone have any suggestions for a good sweeper in the $150 range?

Good morning all... got caught up discussing something with a co-worker and I am not behind on a few things.

Can you get Sky? can you get boradband?

cami
Smart girl there, Cami!!! :teeth: Good luck with the rest of the closing of your house.

Stay safe PA Angels... we have some of the same (2 hour delays and closings) due to flooding yesterday. I love this weather

LOL Lou :teeth:

Lorraine, you can call me a geek if you like... just make sure it isn't a nerd ;) Sorry about your sweeper... I have a Hoover and love it... but since that is what you had that died and it was a lot more than $150 (wedding present) can't help you. Good luck

Morning!

SB, sorry about your sweeper. I'm not a big Hoover fan. I bought an Oreck last time. They cost a little more, but they have a 7 year warranty and I seriously know a couple people who have had theirs for over 20 years. They really do last. Mine gets a lot of use and I haven't put a penny in it for the last 5 years.
They also have a 20 year warranty version. I'm going to buy that one for BB.

Good morning everyone.

Bethany, what Sam did was so thoughtful.

SB, I had a Eureka and now have a Kenmore canister vac from Sears. I was happy with them both.

We had very little rain here yesterday, thankfully.

I have no patient visits scheduled today, just a staff meeting at 3. I am going to try to get things done around the house. (No laundry though.)

:wave2:

SB, I have a Hoover Windtunnel and I like it, so I'm no help. Well, I say that, but I really just am not too crazy about any sweeper. I'm waiting for the model that runs itself. ;)

The sun is shining again today. Guess the sunshine that I tried to send you yesterday didn't arrive as planned? I'm sorry. LK's story about the basements ALMOST makes me glad I don't have one. Not really. Few homes in Oklahoma have a basement and I think that stinks!

Allen's good friend applied at Tinker Air Force base yesterday. He thinks he'll take the job if it's offered. Allen might like to go to work for them, as well. We'd take a huge cut in pay, but we wouldn't have to move, we could retire with full medical, they give yearly raises and his friend thinks they'd bump him up to a higher pay band within a year or so. That would mean that in maybe 5 years we could be back where we are now. I still want Allen to do some serious looking, but it's nice to know that there are some options open here.

Amy got her retainer today. It's "ocean blue" with Minnie Mouse's picture in it. Is she an Angel in the making or what? Poor kid can't talk without lisping. It was funny. She was laughing.

My dog Sasha jumped out of a chair this morning and hurt her leg or hip. She's a real ninny, so she just sat in the floor and screamed. I was thinking I'd have to run her to the vet, so I quickly took my shower. When I came back to the living room, she met me with a wagging tail. So I guess I'll just keep an eye on her and see. She is a bit more subdued that usual, but she's walking on it.

Melissa, I'm sorry to hear about Sasha but I'm laughing at how well Amy is handling having a retainer - what a little DISlet!

SB, our only floor sweeper is a broom, but I can loan you the one I just used to sweep out my PMs this morning

We love our Oreck for the carpet and tile though; it works very well.

Thanks for the help everyone! Where do you buy an Oreck though?

MP - LOL at Amy's retainer. Tell her we are all proud of her!

Going to the Olive Garden for lunch. Anyone want to come?

Lorraine, I'll come. Be there in about 5 hours. Have drinks while you're waiting for me.

I gave Amy a hard time about not choosing lime green. ;)

If I start out right now, do you think I could meet you at Olive Garden and be back in time to pick up my daughter from school? If so, I'm in. :teeth:

Wowzer.....8 of my angel buds are online right now.....talk about mischief-making in the works....

whatcha all up to??? :rolleyes1

nuthin' here :rolleyes1............ whatcha got in mind?;)

edited to add: HEY Lorraine! What time is lunch? I could be IN!

We are leaving now. Donna, we will be at the one in Greentree.

Carol - I wish I could have some drinks for you, unfortunately it will have to be a regular Iced Tea.

Just got out a nice rush order for someone... she was very sweet to me when she called and had the most precious accent, so it was hard not to get this done ASAP for her :teeth:

Wow, a 20 year warranty on a vacuum? The only ones I have seen last that long anyway were the two Hoovers my dad has. The first one he got long before I was born, and the 2nd one he got when I was about 5 or so... still runs great when I use it (the rare time I will vacuum for him)

Missy, I shouldn't have laughed, but when I read about Sasha, I almost spit out the Coke I was drinking (and I wouldn't have been happy since my outfit today is dry clean only  :p). Glad that she seems okay. Oh and I am very proud of Amy for picking an "appropriate" design on her retainer :teeth:

Alan.... :p

Lorraine, I am on my way... think I can make it there in time... I do drive fast ::yes::

Steph, I am just busy working... not causing any trouble at all... not ever ;)

Green Tree! Way too far! thought you were going to McKnight Rd........I will never make it! :( (more notice next time!! )

oh well......enjoy! :teeth:

Sorry you couldn't make it Donna. We are always making last minute decisions on where to go to lunch. It was yummy though, and I had some dessert for you guys too(chocolate lasagne!).

I forgot to tell you, but last night when I was making dinner, I was listening to the radio and heard a contest was coming up. They were looking for the 10th caller, and guess who won????!!!!
That's right - ME! I won 4 passes to see Shark Tale on the 23rd - which i gave to LK since Brendan's school decided to switch their open house from the 30th to the 23rd. I also won a Shark Tale prize pack which was a back pack w/ an AM/FM radio on the front, a Shark Tale t-shirt, a Coca-Cola hat, a watch, and some coupon for Coke. AND, I'm entered into a drawing to be held Monday for a trip for 2 to the Bahamas!!! Happy Days!!!!!

WOO-HOO Lorraine!!!!
and since LK gets to go to Shark Tale you can take me to the Bahamas :D

I'll keep that in mind Lars since I'm not sure my DH would be crazy about going.

With you or to the Bahamas? :duck:

You know, with all of the contests you win I'm really starting to think you're the only person who lives in your town.

Ahem......I am available to go with you too, Lorraine! ;)
and I never saw anyone win as much stuff as you and LK!! LOL

I didnt have to go to Kaitlin's school today since we had a two hour delay this AM, so I decided to just be lazy this afternoon. Gave myself a pedicure and a manicure and watched movies......couldnt decide on one so I just watched parts of several! Does anyone else do that? LOL :teeth:

The rain, I think, has FINALLY stopped!!!! YAY....just in time for the weekend......it's supposed to be beautiful here!:sunny:
