Eh, don't get me wrong, DL has a lot of charm and I really recommend going at least once in your lifetime, but as I was telling my dad on hte phone, I can see why Walt was a bit discouraged with it after a while... I was actually able to hear a siren once while at MK. I would definitely make that trip at least once in my life time... I would not make it during the summer though ;) I admit I don't like crowds at all... and if there hadn't been single rider line, I wouldn't have gotten to ride some of what I did.

I must say that Toontown is SOOOO much better. Pirates just *blows* WDW's version away (no competition whatsoever!) and IASW is excellent there (hush it all your IASW haters). The rest... well I could compare all day long... I'm just glad it is an easier trip for me to go to WDW than DL.

Of course all the DL lovers would stone me for saying this :p

I'm sorting through pics now... while eating lunch. I'll see if any are post worthy :p

Alan, you mean Playboy isn't like what they showed in Robin Hood Men in Tights? The horror!!!

(Gail it's our secret ;))

LOL LK :teeth:

Now I am getting jealous of all y'all going.... I suppose I do need to get back to work next week though :p

Sandy: Looks much nicer than camping!:teeth:

LK: LOL ....she is hanging out with us too much!

SB: I went Labor day weekend in '91.

Steph: LOL!

AND since I just noticed that I have......

SLIPPED INTO SINGLE DIGITS! :Pinkbounc :earsgirl: :Pinkbounc

HERE is where I will be staying in 9 days!

Wooooo Hoooooooooooooooooo!:Pinkbounc :hyper: :hyper:

ooops...Almost forgot (in my excitement) that I received an email postcard today with great resort rates for Sept-Dec...(value $49 and moderate $79)............:teeth:
Can anyone say: Candlelight processional? MVMCP? :teeth:
I won't be mentioning this to my husband till I get back.....let's not send him over the edge till this trip is done! :teeth: :duck:
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Welcome home E!!! I missed you!!!

No one likes a show off Star.

Just cause y'all live on a golf course and get those fancy privys with doors.....

Classy house Star!

Note to self: politely refuse Star's attempts for a DIS meet at her home...

Hey Everyone!

I just did a quick catch-up.........you guys crack me up :rotfl: :rotfl:

E!~I'm glad you're home safely.....you were missed around here!

I worked this morning & they asked me to come in again on Monday......................who wants to riddle for me on Monday?

Like where Steph and Sandy will be staying. Star, you're a hoot! ::yes::

Leah is funny, too. Margarini? Sounds like a cross between a martini and a margarita. Interesting. Wish she'd send me some of her cookies. I'm having a cookie craving, or maybe it's chocolate I want? Chocolate chip cookies might do the trick. I'm trying to ignore it, so maybe the craving will go away. And NO, I'm not pregnant. Just hungry.

We're having nachos for dinner tonight. Almost no prep on my part. I already precooked the ground beef, so it's mostly just piling stuff on and zap in the microwave.

Another in and out day here. I left work, did some errands and picked up the kids at camp. My mom just picked up the kids from here to stay at her house tonight because we have to go to a dinner for Lew's office. It's an annual event and very, very nice - it's held at the Brown (University) Faculty Club and they have a seafood buffet. My kid of eating!!!!! It's also an open bar but given the fact that it is a business function I kind of have to behave....sigh.

Tomorrow we paint!!!!!

Had to share this one. Lew just called from his parent's apartment. They were arguing about how to cook hot dogs....and asked his opinion. Since his only experience with hot dogs is placing them on a grill.....he called me!!!!!
It's so nice to be needed! ;)

HEY...any of you scrapbookers out there....does anyone have access to a die cut golf cart???? We need one for our "racing scrapbook" (long story) but can't find one here!

I dont think I have ever seen one Steph, but I will look.

Since we are sharing hotels...
Our Texas home hey, at least it has a pool. Good thing since Accu-Weather is forcasting 98, 97, 96 and 94 for the days we are there.

how bout a show off super set?

Gail!! crack me up my hubby and I have a fight about how to cook hot dogs every time.....I want to nuke them because it's faster he wants to boil them because he says it cooks the chemical taste out of them (whatever that means) I'm glad to know we aren't the only ones fighting about it.

made these just for you MP

enjoy!

DS is playing in a golf tournament tonight with my father (who is really really good, 0 handicap) I'm a little nervous for him I know how competitive my dad can be. I'm off to iron is golf shirt and I'm going to ride along in my golf cart at a distance just to keep my eye on dad and if need be give him a time out!lol
No, actually I'm going to try and get some good pics of the two of them together so I can frame them as a thank you for playing with him. Keep your fingers crossed!!

Well, Luis just left to go to Cleveland... he'll be back tomorrow. At least I get my bed to sleep in tonight ;) Oh wait, in case I forgot. I had the option of going up with Luis to Cleveland tonight so I could sleep on Dave's couch. Well considering I got about 3 hours of sleep on an airplane that doesn't appeal to me at all. Plus I am not awake enough to take the computer geek talk *all night long!*

I am really so not awake. I had this intention of coming in here and doing an amazing catch up... yeeeeeeahno.

I'm going to move this laptop upstairs and throw in a new movie that came while I was gone. Then hopefully I will fall asleep and get tons of sleep.

Y'all do make me smile though :)

Does that mean the same thing in RI as it does in some other places?

(Sorry Gail, It is against the rules to let something like that go.....)

Welcome back Lainie! :wave2:

Steph, you have a beautiful house.

Sandy, that place on the lake looks nice.

Have had my oldest doing all the driving since she got her permit. Today we merged into fast moving traffic, did 55 mph for the first time, and drove through a traffic circle (all the way saying this is:crazy: , this is  )

:scared:

Do these sound like the words of a teen ready for a driver's license...................I think not!!!!!!!!!!!!!:upsidedow

Glad we do not have traffic circles near us. First time I seen one was after I had my licence for 15 years. I encounter it in the middle of rush hour.:( . As the week went on I got the hang of them

Welcome back E! I'm glad the trip went well.

We had a cook-out last night for a couple from our church. They have sold their house and are moving back and forth with two boys between in-laws..possibly for a year!

We figured they needed a break and invited them over. It was pretty good.

Tonight however, we are going to meet other friends and lots of kids at a pizza buffet place.

And so flitters the social butterfly...

Scratch that....AlabamaAlan does NOT flitter! :p
