:scratchin Hmmm! I'll have to think about that!!!

It's time for me to go for now.:moped:

Night all!

Boy am I glad Luis doesn't post here ;)

Speaking of which... he left well over 2 hours ago... almost 2.5 hours... I called and no answer and of course it is storming like crazy now. I hate worrying about him like that.

Watched one Orlando movie... I think it's time for another :teeth:

Donna, traffic circles are usually roads that are built with a loop, like in the picture. Roads go off at angles from the hoop like spokes of a wheel. And sometimes there are more than two streets involved, which is what caused my confusion.

In the case of my neighborhood they are being put in after the streets have been built as a speed trap. I understand it is a curb in the shape of a huge circle that they put in the center of a busy street. It's just large enough that drivers have to swerve into the edge of the cross street in order to get around it. If the driver is going too fast and goes straight, he will hit the curb of the circle, thereby slowing him down. I'm not looking forward to their installation. But then I don't like speed bumps either.

They put a traffic circle on Main Street in Downtown Brighton......actually it's on the corner of Main & 3rd.....both of those streets are 25 mph limits???Why did we need a traffic circle??? MHO is that the powers that be in Brighton thought it would somehow add to the 'small town' charm:rolleyes: All it really adds to is the mass confusion of people driving those streets~~
With that being my only roundabout experience imagine my surprise when I saw the one in Syracuse that was actually FAST
  Luckily DH has driven in England & had a clue!:p

Kids you have to love them, you do right, I mean it's the law or something
There are days when I'd challenge that law!:smooth: Today would be one of those days!

Luis finally called... cell phone battery died so I have no idea what took so long to get there.

Man, you have to be fast around here........otherwise someone jumps right on top of ya! :teeth:

Not touching that one Brian... but if that is what you prefer...

;)

We have a traffic roundabout 1/2 mile from our house. It was an intersection of a 55 mph road and a 30 mph road that had the stop sign. After a few fatal accidents they put in the roundabout. The worst that can happen now is a side swipe.

Now Carol, that makes sense. But I'm talking about streets in my subdivision. I guess if it helps with speeding it's not a problem. I just don't like the idea of stopping at a stop sign and getting swiped by a speeding car trying to round the circle.

I have to admit, I had no idea that those roundabouts were that popular in the US. I think I've only seen them in London, England, myself.

That does make sense, though why they would put them in.

Can't sleep... I just talked with Luis and he suggested I go for a 3rd Orlando Bloom movie (he's so sweet... Luis is sweet that is). Hopefully this one can put me to sleep. Gotta admit, I really wish he hadn't gone up to Cleveland this weekend.

I used to have trouble sleeping when Allen was away. Allen taught me to take melatonin when I can't settle down and go to sleep. After age 25 or something like that your body produces less and less of it. It's amazing. It really helps you relax and go to sleep.

One of our dogs has a sore on her side. She's getting worse and worse about getting them. Almost like a boil that has to be popped and doctored. I know, tmi. Sorry!

The guys played golf tonight. They had fun. Amy was finishing up library books and I hung up clothes and generally picked up a little.

I'm getting up tomorrow and heading to the market. Then Amy is getting a haircut (just a trim) and we go to Summerfest at church tomorrow night. TFN. It's time for bed. :wave2:

Happy Saturday Everyone!

I didn't know I was starting a trend when I posted where I was staying next week!

Love your places too Steph and Star!:teeth:

Went out miniature golfing last night w/ my oldest sister, one of my Aunt's, 2 cousins, and 3 of my Dad's cousins that I met for the first time last night. We had a great time, then went out for dinner. Today is packing day and buying last minute stuff.

Good morning everyone.

Donna, you sure were up early.

Lorraine, I am doing much of the same today.

Last day of the fair. YIPPEE!!:Pinkbounc

:wave2: Good Morning:wave2:

I'll be chaufering children around this morning....Matthew, Megan & her friend are heading to BIL & SIL's house to go wake boarding all day.....they'll be sleeping over there too.....outside in tents:D
Then I promised Dylan that I'd take him to the sidewalk sales in downtown Brighton...they block off Main street & all the shops put their sidewalk sale merchandise in the street. He LOVES going there.......Dylan is my little shopper:D
