Yes, I was down Disney way same time as Gail. We did not get to meet up. Maybe another visit. I did get to meet up with other DISers.) It was fun to meet new friends. I have pics, just not uploaded yet.

Had a very fun day yesterday.....Let me just say though if you ever go to a restaurant named Moose Winooski's : DONT let them tell the staff it is your birthday! You end up wearing rather large moose antlers by the end of the night!
{note to Mike: don't go to the bathroom and leave your family/friends alone with the waiter!}

Today we are off to Strathroy Ontario to visit with my whole big extended cousin family for a picnic....I haven't seen some of them for years so I am really looking forward to it! It should be a lot of fun!

Got in from the lake late last night. It rained ALL Day, so I decided to come home. Wasn't up for another day of rain. At least if I'm home and stuck in the house I have a million things I can do.

Carol, They're gown up and they start to lead their own lives. Takes some getting used to.

E, I think it's SO nice of you to go visit your grandmother.
She probably enjoyed that so much. I know my mom would.

Good morning! I've got the guys all packed up and headed off to camp, so it's just me and Leah for the week. Girl power!

Looks like a much better day today than yesterday. Constant rain the entire day - blech!

Good morning.

It is pouring here and supposed to rain all day. We are under a flood watch again.

DH and I slept in a little this morning. Missed our church but we haven't been going lately because of the minister. We may try another church that has an 11 o'clock service today. I hate church shopping.

Later today we leave for 2 days. I'll tell you more about that later.

Good morning

Not sure what we are doing today since I am on call at Disney. I have to call at 11 to see if they will need me 1-5. So, until the call our plans are on hold.

If its a no, I think I want to go to the Rennassaince Faire. The owner of my scrapbook store gave us tickets. Her son playes Robin Hood and the store placed an ad in the Faire program. So for every $ spent on advertising, the Faire gave her tickets. She ended up with enough tickets for all of the staff and their families. If we dont get there today, we will get there at some point before the end of the summer.

We're up and getting ready for church. Carol, you should find a new one. Since we did last fall, I feel completely different about Sunday mornings. I still sometimes feel lazy and don't want to get up, but I don't dread going anymore. BTW, the priest at our old church just left. He got a job dealing with money in the dioceses. Good for him. It's where he belongs! He's good at bean counting, just not at dealing with people.

Off to press everyone's clothes for church. I refuse to spend a day ironing every week. I much prefer daily pressing of what we'll wear.

This afternoon? I have yesterday's list waiting in the wings. This is a working weekend. Bet I'll be popular with the crowd.

I'm here too, for the moment at least. I just got back from church and am heading out to find my dad a birthday present for him. I think I need to get a couple things for the trip too... honestly that countdown timer is scaring me. I am not prepared

Just a quick check in.

We really enjoyed the church we attended today. It was the Methodist church in our town. We usually attend the one in the next town. The minister really had something to say and I knew some people there. It is just hard to leave a church we have attended for 15 years. Time will tell.

So about our trip. We leave tonight at about 6:30 and pick up Sarah at camp then the 4 of us head to College Park MD, which is just outside of Washington DC. Expect to arrive there about 10. Tomorrow at 7:30 AM is orientation at University of Maryland. The parent session is over at 4 PM. (We are leaving Andrew in the motel room with lunch and his summer homework. Maybe he will be forced to work on it.) Sarah has orientation until Tuesday at 3 PM. So, with the rest of our time, the 3 of us are going to do some touristy stuff in Washington. I think we can just take the metro in from where we are staying. Then when Sarah is done, we pick her up and take her back to camp then head home. The camp is kind of on the way so we aren't doubling back driving.

We plan to see the WWII Memorial and maybe one of the Snithsonian buildings. Should be interesting.

I should be back here late Tuesday or Wednesday. So if I don't see you before then. Have fun and be good!!

I hear you Carol. We were founding members of our old church. I'd been going there since I was 13. It was a huge change, but I'm still glad I we made the leap. I love Washington DC. Have a good time.

Lars, hope you have fun at the lake. I love boating!

You'll manage to get ready for the trip, E. At least you already have the new underwear. Good luck with the shopping. Do you have an idea of what to get? That's what I hate about shopping for birthday gifts, for men especially.

Bethany, hope you get to go to the faire. Sounds like fun. Be sure to tell us about it when you go. Our town has a Midieval Fair every year with jousting and all sorts of arts and crafts booths. It used to be put on by the university, but a couple of years ago the town took it over.

Sandi, sorry it rained on your weekend.

Moose antlers? Oh my. I'd like to see that picture. My brother would LOVE to take me there for my birthday. I had really long hair when I was growing up, so I usually wore it in high pigtails. My brother took my nickname of Missy and turned it into "Miss-moose". I hated it. That's why he'd call me that actually. He'd think putting moose antlers on me would be classic.
