Well, I did something different last night. I actually watched most of Amazing Race.

Mrs. AA and I watch very little television and we avoid getting caught up in series as I do not currently have capability to record and we are seldom able to find time to watch them when they air.

We did catch an episode or two of PBS' Colonial House which annoyed me to no end and I couldn't watch any more of it.

In any event, I was familiar with the premise but had never watched an episode of AR. Mrs. AA had never heard of it.

I decided to read the official thread on the DIS, and lo and behold, the Angels are the core group!

Now I know who to ask questions to. As for last night, I agree that the "taller cousin" is annoying and I was rooting for the married parents couple just because they seem to be such a novelty on reality program. (A husband and wife? Married to each other??? What freaks!)

LOL about the married couple on AR Alan .... I was rooting for them when they had to retrace their steps to pick up the clue !

Yay - we have turned Alan on to reality TV!! Actually, AR is probably the most "normal" reality TV show. I love it.

I bet Alan's reaction to that edited comment would be :hyper: and not :crazy2:

Actually the :crazy2: was because you turned Alan on and not me..... It was in no way an indictment of the turneroner. And I didn't edit it I just shortened it so the boards would move faster. Just thinking of everyone else.

Here ya go, Lou.... I hear this picture really turns you on.... ;)

Alan - so glad to hear you and Mrs. AA watched my favorite show! They do have normal people on - even though Allison was calling that one woman a midget. Allison was on the show Big Brother and was very annoying. Did you join the our group for the game?

LK - when did you get ahold of Lou's portrait?;)

Good afternoon.

I took Lars's idea and ran with it. My friend and I went out to breakfast today. I know Lars has a group she goes out with on Wednesday morning. I haven't had a chance to chat with Sandy in a while so we went to the diner and had breakfast. What a great way to start the day.

:wave2: everyone.

MP, I hope Amy gets her braces off.

AA, watch out, you'll get hooked. I haven't watched AR but am a Survivor addict.

Steph, good choice. Have fun at the lake. You and Meg will remember the time at the lake but not how clean the house is.

I have one of my co-workers coming over in a bit to teach me to crochet. I can knit but need to crochet a border on the squares of the afghan I am making so she is going to help me.

LK, thanks for posting. What a nice photo. Andrew comes home tonight so I expect to hear some stories.

I'm only addicted to the DIS, and it is the fault of the Angels anyway...

Mrs. AA crochets, though it was been awhile. She gave up when her last baby afghan she made for someone was getting filled with cat hair! It just couldn't be avoided in the house or car.

Now we are sans cat (no, I am not looking to be a host parent) but she hasn't had reason to pick it up again.

Thanks for posting the pic LK! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

LK I hope that pig haunted you in your sleep last night. Here's one for tonight...

Oh dear, on the Ya Yas I have Survivor and now here is AR? I admit the only "reality" TV I ever watched on a regular basis was AI and after Clay lost, I can't do it anymore.

And so I don't spout off about this past season and the winner, I'll hush :p

Just got out of a nearly 2 hour long meeting with medium high managment. I'm starving, tired and the only good thing that came out of it (okay well 2) was that they are much more optimistic about the company now :faint: and 2... one of the guys was from Houston, TX originally. Now lives in Denver, but he had the sweetest little accent, nice strong voice and just really down to earth in how he spoke. Made for an ultra pleasant meeting ::yes::
:teeth:

I hope you didn't inhale. If you did, next thing you know you'll be saying nice things about me again.
