Happy 4th of July!
Check this out: (not the same, Lou, I know but hey....it's all some of us have!
)............Fireworks
Kaitlin and I had a good time at the wedding yesterday but it was very long and an hour away so it took up a large part of the day....then I did picnic prep all night long! Have most of my stuff done ......just a few things to do today.......We are setting up for inside because the weather is NOT looking promising...
(hey Tom Sawyer.....keep that rain another day, would you?)

Morning Everyone,
Shipping my boys off to camp today...guess that means I should make them a big breakfast this morning.....
We did the Richard Petty Experience yesterday...all I can say is WOW WOW WOW.
No other plans for the day.......forgoing the fireworks locally tonight. Probably nobody else remembers the story of the Gehring children whose father abducted them from the Concord fireworks last year and then killed them, leaving them somewhere in the midwest......too many bad memories for too many people around here......takes away from the fun of our local celebration. I can't get in the spirit to go.
Fortunately, our town has HUGE, WONDERFUL fireworks for Old Home Day in August, so we'll do that instead.

Steph, what a horrible story. I can see why you might want to skip that.
We had a small cook out last night with Sarah and her friend and my in laws, then went to fireworks. The towns around here stagger the dates for the fireworks so we will go again tonight. We have 3 local towns to chose from. I am hoping someone else might have a cook out today or tomorrow.
I hope Gail and Tiger Lily and Andrew and Lars are all having fun today.

I do believe Lou has the best of the fireworks tonight, though unfortunately for me, for the time I spent in NY, Lady Liberty was wrapped in scafolding.

Carol, they do that here sometimes too for fireworks. I can usually see at least 2 sets, and sometimes all we have to do is turn directions and see one starting right after the other during the night. Enjoy the fireworks tonight!!

I have to wait until 10:00 to call Disney to see if I have to work. Cross your fingers that he says no. I really dont feel like going in today.
We dont have any real plans, but if I dont have to work my mom might come out and we will try to grill out between the raindrops. I should start working on cleaning just in case she is coming over.

Donna, that's why you should send them away for the weekend... you get to play all you want
The sad thing in my home with my family, we are so used to being online and with computers that we all give each other access to each others wireless and we bring out laptops and play
No joke, but it is cool when we are talking about a trip or something and we want to look something up, we can do it immediately

Bethany - hope you don't get stuck working today. I went to TDS yesterday and got Shannon a bathing suit, towel, set of dishes, and an Ariel fan ($1.99!!). Great bargains.
Donna - haven't heard the latest forecast, but right now it's nice and sunny!

Going to make stuffed shells and brownies to take to the IL's today. Not really looking forward to leaving my air conditioned house though. Will stay there for the Pittsburgh fireworks - which i think are awesome!

Just had a phone call from my brother. He and his wife and DD are in line for Mission Space with a 25 minute wait. Andrew and his cousin went to the singles line with a 0 minute wait. They were in MGM yesterday and rode RnR and ToT 3 times each. Doesn't sound like the crowds are too bad.

Carol, that is almost evil sounding. I wonder where the crowds are! Although when I went to Epcot in May there was only a 5 minute wait for M:S (standby time). Test track was always awful though. I will say I heard it wasn't too bad last weekend either... almost worth considering going to WDW in the summer if the lines aren't too bad!
