Still watching these fireworks on TV... we are about 10 miles from downtown Columbus and we can hear the booms loud and clear here... Gwenie got scared and hid

And yes I know it is odd to have the fireworks two days early, but with all the 'burbs which are technical cities themselves (like where I live... no, I don't live *in* Columbus but next to it... I think we share zip codes though) anywho... those cities outside of Columbus do ours the next day. They try to make sure each city/community outside of Columbus has a night of their own. So actually if I looked around I bet I could find fireworks to watch tomorrow, Sunday & Monday.

Actually it was a sign left up from winter... we saw it a few months ago too but I rarely go that way adn saw it again.

Evening All!

Got back from the Riverhounds game (soccer) about 1/2 hour ago after stopping for ice cream afterwards. Our team won 5-0. We ate a lot - cheaper than eating at a Pirates game. Watching the Pirates now - they are crushing the Brewers in game 2. They won the first one too. We are on a hot streak!

Sue, Lk and I had a good time at dinner and the movie.
We saw the Notebook........and I LOVED IT! Great movie.......
I cried through most of it and they made fun of me.....although Sue cried through the second half! (LK...you are just COLD!....lol!)
Then after all that crying we needed chocolate, so we went for dessert! We had a good time!

Have a good trip, Lars.......but you know, just because your gone....doesnt mean your PIC can't take over for you.....

SB....glad you had a good time! We missed you!

Kaitlin and I are going to a wedding this afternoon for her second grade teacher........it is just to the church and then she is having a cookie reception for her past and present students.........she was a wonderful teacher and we have stayed in touch with her over the years.


Just saw the weather forecast for Sunday....
Please.....pray for sun in Pittsburgh everyone!!! My guest list keeps growing......where am I going to put all of these people!!! Oh well, I should be used to it....I think it rains every year here on the 4th! LOL

Good morning everyone.

We got home from the airport last night and tried to get on the internet to check the flight tracker and the internet was broken. Poor Sarah hadn't been on in a week and was having withdrawal. I tried unplugging the modem and restarting but no luck. I called Comcast this morning and was back online in 5 minutes. I should have called last night. I didn't try unplugging the electric from the modem and that fixed it.

Luis just called... he had a hard time "sleeping in" because it felt like it was late there (only 7 am) He has a cookout to go to today
