Just found out that our training class was canceled because the room they were going to use has computers that are barely working. Guess I'll have a bunch of free time today.

Lou, you have a point...and remember that my thread was to pat myself on the back for not being as afraid of spiders as I used to be!

However, I would be much more worried about New Yorkers than I would their "pets"

Road trip to the beach, eh? Steph, I would love to travel to New England for the fall colors, mountains etc..but let me put in a plug for Alabama.

pseudoMountains in the north, large lakes in the central region, and the sun kissed white sand beaches of the Gulf Coast in the South.

And Alabama Alan as your personal tour guide and concierge.

Of course, if y'all slip me air fare, I'd gladly travel to Rhode Island!

Dang, there went my opportunity to try and stir up trouble. Of course I have to admit the Ya Yas are an amazing group too. Couldn't really imagine life with out either you all or the Ya Yas. Amazing how close I've become and remainded with so many...

Gulf Coast? Well I say we all head down to 'Bama after we go up north!!!!

I was just replying on another thread how I would love to live near the Gulf Coast... it was the most beautiful place I ever remember visiting in my life. I might miss the beautiful fall colors we get up here, but the lack of a beach and water really gets to me sometimes.
I think I need to make more money and get more vacation time to go visit everywhere in US I'd like to

Donna, I was just trying to combine two responses into one

I realize Steph is a New Hampshirer..Hampshirite...Hampshirinian...Yankee, but the trip started out as a visit to the coast of Rhode Island.

How hard could that be to find? Pick a spot and start walking...you'll hit it eventually!

Lars, I know a couple who just returned from Mackinac Island and LOVED it .......

I must admit that I'm another spoiled New Englander who has always had the ocean close at hand......and the beach was 5 minutes away growing up.........
