I would hate for Mrs. Gerri to be a thread killer so.....

We had a good day today. I took off work to have a day with the girls without fighting weekend crowds.

We started out with hot doughnuts from Krispy Kreme. I specifically ordered the non-camping-Angel special (Hold the bugs)

Then all of us went to the zoo and had a great trip.

We came home and had lunch and Mrs. AA and Abigail remained at home while Lela and I went to Old Alabama Town

I think we all have attractions like that nearby...a collection of restored buildings to recreate a period lifestyle.

Then it was supper at Applebees, and now I am off to prepare a Sunday School lesson. Our teacher will be out and asked me to teach the class.

How much do y'all know about Habakkuk????

Back from my Dad's. He had a nice evening and enjoyed all the birthday wishes. For a Dad, he is really cool about this internet thing and doesn't bat an eye when I do trips like I am on Sunday. I'm lucky to have him

Hello to everyone! Been a busy week at work this week, so I haven't been around much.....just enough time to read ( lurk, someone here calls it). Working in the morning tomorrow too, then hopping in the car with DW for a short weekend trip to KC for a little sightseeing and some of that famous KC BBQ.

I also was fortunate enough to receive a call from and while they were by the pool. They said to say

We had some friends and family (the family that we like!) here for dinner. It was fun. I've been trying to catch up for at least an hour but I keep getting interrupted. I think it's a sign that I need to just go to bed and start again tomorrow.

Better news tonight. We heard from my cousin that the doctors didn't say it has spread to his liver. Instead, just that they will be watching his liver closely. BIG difference! So now it's only that he has a spot on his lower lung. Until a biopsy we won't know if that's cancer or not. Crossing my fingers again.

I'm sleepy, so instead of catching up I'll say goodnight. See you tomorrow.

Exactly what I was going to post.

It is now 5:30 AM and I have been awake for over an hour. I finally gave up at about 5:00 and ran to the store for coffee. I figured if I couldnt sleep I might as well get moving.
Im starting to feel better, although Im still coughing a bit.
I have to work at Diseny 11-3 today then go right to the scrapbook store and work until about 7:30 or 8:00. I was there until 10:30 last night. Cross your fingers that Im not on the schedule for tomorrow. I could really use a day of no real plans.
