Welcome home Merry!!! How was the trip???

Alan, I'll be right over for the donuts!! I think I am in a pigish mood today ;)

Melissa, I could totally understand why that guy left. If I were to be told I had to have shoulder length hair or shorter to work for a company, I'd get up and walk out too. At least he was honest with himself :)

LOL, Alan, I was thinking the same thing :teeth:

There Alan goes again, picking on me... *pouts*

Anyways, Ash/Hash, it's all the same, leave me alone!!!

Welcome Back Merry!! How was your trip dear Name-Twin?! (and are you going to help me defend myself now you are back? ;))

Cya,
Gaspode

We had a wonderful, magical, sunny trip. The weather was wonderful and I thought of all of you every day! I heard that the weather was cold and that the s word was involved. No fair! We all have a touch of sun, so we look good compared to all the Okies who stayed behind.

Of course there were a few typical mishaps. Should make for a funny trip report. I'm sitting here now with my swollen foot up, trying to skim all the pages that I missed. Oh and you'll have to hear all about my Mickey tattoo. ;)

As for our other Melissa, I can't wait to hear the trip update. Since you are nursing your foot, I can only assume you participated in some sort of church service while at sea? :jester:

Welcome home MP.

Alan - Melissa, play nice.

Off to watch a tennis match. It is windy and freezing so I think I will put on my long underwear.

As usual, I pulled a graceful trick. I was window shopping in Cozumel, Mexico and stepped in a hole. I'll give a more detailed account later. Then, instead of getting off the poor ankle, I walked miles. That was Wednesday and by Saturday my ankle was telling me that it was on strike! ;) But how can you just stop going when you are on a CRUISE?

I'm going to try to do the first installment of my trip report tonight. Several funny things happened. I'll put a link here.

Lou, I saw your report. :( And I was thinking nice thoughts of you all week. I'm almost caught up. I'm on page 135. I do have to admit I'm skimming a little.

Sorry to hear so many of you were sick. That wasn't a good plan. A woman across the hall from us on the ship got sick and they made her stay in her room for 2 whole days!

Hello ANgels. Cherubs, Ya Yas and assorted visitors.

It has been a semi busy day here, trying to get things done for Pete so that he will have a smooth trip on Friday. First I tried to get $500.00 in Euros, should be pretty easy, just get them from AAA. Well, I don't belong to AAA, but I called the office in MAnchester to see if they would sell me them, as the website says they will, but the fee will be higher. Fine with me. I explain to the woman that I am not a member, but I would be happy to become one if that would make it easier on them. She tells me I can only buy them in a trip pack of $100.00 USD worth, which is fine, but to hold on while she checks with mer manager. She comes back and very snottily says, we only have one pack left. The manager says he will sell it to you for $100.00 cash only, but he won't hold it, so if I drive all the way there (about 15 miles) and someone else has already bought it, tough. And they will NOT order more, even if I want them. I ordered them (off the money exchanger at the airport) on the web. Maybe it cost a tad more, I have no idea, but they will be here tomorrow Fedex. Then I need to go get the new flash card for the camera. SHould be easy, take the camera to the store, pop out the card and get one the same. Except the camera is not here, Pete took it to work. He didn't need it there, but took it anyway. I needed to get his bracelet repaired, I go to the fix it wile you wait place in the mall, it will be ready tomorrow after 6pm. Glad I don't have to wait there. Then the realtor calls, the owner wants to put the house on the market now so as to take advantage of spring. Fine, but I am not leaving for showings, and they have to get me on the phone or they don't get to come in. Plus she hadn't heard from my sales person at the new house, and I tell her about the delay. She did get the owner to agree to extend the lease for one more month. But after that if the new house is delayed, I may be homeless, or moving in with my dearest friend in the north country. So tomorrow I have to have the house all clean and pretty so the realtor can take new pictures of the insides. She says it will look better with my furniture than the old pictures of the empty rooms. She is right about that, but it means I have to move stuff around to make it look show condition. I told here I wan't going to move the boxes from the sun room, because there isn't anyplace to put them.

ARGGGGGGG.

Melissa, welcome home, We missed you.

Hi to everyone else. Looks like we will ALL be moving soon. I vote for the Cherubs to find us the new digs.

[BDonna, I was a scout leader years ago and I agree. I would spend all week getting ready for the meeting, have the meeting, then start again. When the co-leader and I said we were going to change the meeting to once every other week instead of weekly, another mom told us that we just "needed to get organized." I could have committed murder.

Carol, You have described it perfectly. It is never done. However, my moms NEVER complain to me anymore because I turn it around on them and say: "Oh, well, if you would like to take a turn as the leader next year, I would be happy to take a year off. " You'd be amazed how fast that shuts people up. :p

I had a very productive day though. I got all of my errands done. I made my father his favorite chicken dinner complete with homemade apple crisp for dessert. Ran kids around all afternoon to various appts, and activities, etc.

I need a nap. No time though!

talk to you all later.

After giving away a dinner last week (a friend threw her back out and Mrs. AA had just finished fixing a new recipe), and losing a crock pot dinner the next night due to accidentally leaving it out all night, we are finally going to eat a "real" meal at home tonight.

Grits and sausage casserole with biscuits on the side! :teeth:
Eat your Yankee hearts out. :p

Actually, we would be more than happy for any of you to drop in!

Hey, that sounds pretty good too!

Whatever are you going to do for breakfast when you come to Talladega?

Hey Alan. We spent an eternity in the Mobile airport yesterday afternoon and I thought of you. How far do you live from Mobile? We could have had a meet. :teeth: Our short layover was longer than we had anticipated.
