Angelrose's Journey

Mary I hope you had fun with the kids today. At least I think you were watching them today and Monday. Hope you have a wonderful Easter! Sending you tons of love & hugs!

Happy Easter everyone!

Hi Michelle. I did survive today. LOL Both Jesse and Zoey were very good for me. We watched 6 episodes of Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Oh BOY! I fed Zoey and then put her down for her morning nap. Jesse and I went downstairs and played for another hour or so and then came up to eat our lunch while I watched Price is Right. I love that show.

Zoey woke up and I played with her and fed her. She was doing really well and loved playing on the floor. She is starting to scoot on her tummy but not crawling yet.

I put her down for another nap around 11:30. Chuck came home and asked if I would stay until Karen came home because he was really sick with a cold.

No problem. Jesse and I played for a little while and then I told him he would have to take a nap. I told him if he was a good boy and took a nap, I would give him a surprise when he got up. He went down without any trouble. I tucked him in and gave him a hug and lots of kisses. I think he was asleep before I made it downstairs.

I had about two hours of peace. I read my book until I heard Zoey crying. I went up and got her before she woke up Chuck or Jesse.

Around 3:30 Chuck came downstairs. Karen was on her way home and was going to take the kids out to eat if I wanted to join them. I thought about it, and decided I'd better just go home. I will be eating out on Easter so I want to be good the rest of the week. I left the two cars for Jesse and got home a little after 4.

It felt so good to relax. I did have a good time with the kids though.

Hope everyone had a wonderful day today. I got to the kids house around 9 and Jesse greeted me with a big smile and hug and asked if I would play with him. All in one breath. LOL

I gave him his Easter basket and some books and a puzzle. He loved everything. Then his friends came over and they played together very well this time. Karen and her friend went down the basement to hide the eggs and then I went down first.

The boys had to wait on the steps for the countdown. They could only collect the eggs with their names on them. The boys were so good. If they found an egg with the others name on it, they would give it to them.

I confess I did cheat and tell Jesse where a couple of eggs were hidden. But then I did tell the boys were a couple of their eggs were, so it evened out.

All the eggs had little candies in them, most of which Jesse will not eat. They were all allowed one piece of candy and then we went out to the Chinese buffet for lunch.

Jesse had one slice of pizza and one chicken nugget and then he just fell asleep on Karen's leg. He had been up later than usual last night playing outside and he was just wiped out. When Karen finished, I took her place while she got up for dessert. Then Chuck took my place while I went up for dessert. We all wound up with wet spots where Jesse drooled on us while he slept. LOL

Chuck carried him out and we all went home. Jesse asked me if I would stay at his house. I told him I would tuck him in for his nap and then I would be with him all day tomorrow.

I gave him lots of hugs and kisses and tucked him in and then I came home.

I had such a great day. I am so blessed.

Karen gave me a couple of pictures of the kids, so I thought I would share.

Hi Angelrose, belated Happy Easter :flower3:! Sorry I haven't popped in more often, life has been keeping me lil busy here, so not on board as much these days.

Great to hear you had a nice Easter with your family making special memories. Love Jesse & Zoey's photos, my they are adorable and growing up so fast. :lovestruc

Our family went to see the grands perform at church, then all came back here for yummy dinner, dessert, and of course egg hunt :goodvibes. The cousins always have a blast getting together! Our sweet grands are all such a blessing and we're so lucky they help keep our spirits young, aren't we!?!?!

BTW ~ a big congratualtions and good job on your weight loss :thumbsup2!!! Take care and God Bless ^j^

Thanks snappyd and 4nana.

I am beyond tired tonight. We took the kids to a small zoo today. We walked around for a couple of hours and it was getting really hot. I'm proud that my ankle cooperated. I pushed Jesse in his stroller which helped me a lot. He walked a bit until it got too hot for him.

We walked back to the car and had a picnic lunch at some tables there. On the way home, I kept hoping that Jesse would take a nap when he got home. No such luck. He slept all the way home and wasn't in any mood to take another nap.

So grandmom pulled herself together and played with Jesse. We colored, played basketball, played his guitar (he told me to dance) :rotfl: We also did puzzles. Have I mentioned how much I hate puzzles?? I hate puzzles. We did about 5 little puzzles before Karen brought Zoey downstairs so I could watch her while she went to her gym class.

About an hour was all I could stand and I brought them both upstairs. I held Zoey while I had my feet up and told Jesse that I had to rest for a while.

Karen came home first and told Jesse he could play outside with his water table. I thought it would be too hot, but by 4 it wasn't bad at all and had a nice breeze coming through.

Jesse "watered" my feet. That water was ice cold, but felt good on my hot feet.

Chuck came home and we all had dinner together. I had planned on staying and playing more with Jesse, but I just couldn't do it. I came home right before Jesse's bedtime.

As soon as I got home, I ran out and took the cover off the air conditioner and turned it on to get some of the humidity out of the upstairs. It's getting nice and cool up here now.

I did take some pictures today, but I have no idea how they turned out. I just didn't have to strength to download them. Maybe tomorrow.

Hello everyone. We had our Mother's day on Saturday because the kids are going away for Mother's day. I got to their house around 10:30 and Jesse gave me his usual greeting all in one word. LOL I told him we were getting ready to go out and when we came back I would play with him.

Karen gave me two cards. She was very embarrassed because she bought birthday cards instead of Mother's day cards. I laughed my a** off. I told her she now has to get Mother's day cards and give it to me for my birthday at the end of the month. :rotfl:

We went to Applebees for lunch and a great meal. I had the Weight Watchers steak salad. I was very proud of myself because I didn't eat all the dressing. Only a few drops here and there.

Then we went to Ocean City and rode a lot of rides. Yes, I was the appointed one to ride with Jesse. I loved it. Karen used my camera and took lots of pictures. Only I'm having trouble downloading them. I will have to wait until Chuck comes back from vacation to see what he can do with that lousy program that came with the camera.

There was only one ride that Jesse and I rode that he got scared on. I had to hold onto him and tell him I had him and he would be OK. I told the man that he wanted to get off. When we got down, Jesse said, "I got a little scared Grandmom". I told him he was OK now and it was a scary ride. It went up and down and around. I don't think he was ready for that one.

We did lots more rides and then we took a break. We walked along the boardwalk and we all got frozen custard. I won't even think about how many points that was. Then we stopped at a jewelry store and Karen and I each bought two Chamilia charms for our bracelets. Karen got Eeyore and a green glass bead. I got a pink glass bead and a small silver bead that says, "where dreams come true". It has little stars on it too. Jesse had a little meltdown because he didn't want to go into the store. Karen had a little talk with him and two seconds later he was fast asleep in the stroller.

We walked back and stopped at the rest room and then did two more rides. I think we were all tired by that time. We headed to the car and went back to the shopping mall and Karen needed a few things at Target for their trip.

We were back home around 6. Jesse and I went downstairs to play. We did the puzzles and we colored. He played his guitar for me and his mom. Then he told me to dance. LOL I thought I was doing great to walk!

It was his bedtime and he gave me a big hug and a kiss goodby. I thanked the kids for a wonderful Mothers Day outing and I left.

I got home around 7:30. Needless to say I slept VERY well last night.

Today I did a whole lot of nothing. I am going to miss everyone while they are away.

Then we walked to a big Christmas store but we didn't find anything.

It sounds like a perfect day! I have said it before, but you have a wonderful son and daughter-in-law. I'm glad you get to spend so much times with your grandbabies.

Don't think twice about the custard, you walked off that and more! :yay:

Where are they going on vacation?

Thank you snappyd. I do have a wonderful son and DIL. They are going to North Carolina to attend Karen's cousin's wedding and then they are going to Tennessee to go to Dollywood. They should be back by the 14th.

I had so much fun on those baby rides. I must still be in my first childhood! Then Chuck and I went on the swings. OMG it was just like flying. WHEEEEE

Yeah I have definitely lost it. What's worse?? I don't care. :lmao:

I get exhausted just reading all that you do with your grands! I think it'll do you good to take a break for a week. Rest up (& hey - no puzzles!)

The pictures are precious.

Now this is my favorite photo of both

This is my favorite photo of Jesse. You can just see the devil in his eyes. LOL

You can't tell in most of the photos, but both Jesse and Zoey have the most amazing BLUE eyes. Everyone that sees Zoey has to comment on her eyes and her smile.

I think Jesse will be a chic magnet when he grows up. He just has that certain something. Everyone at daycare loves them both.

GEEEEEEEEEE, do I sound like a proud grandmom??

Yes, and with good reason, they are beautiful!! What a blessing :cloud9:

Thank you snappyd. I can't wait for them to come back so I can see them again.

Chuck called me last night to wish me a Happy Mother's Day. They were on their way to Pigeon Forge. They are also going to some kind of penguin experience. Chuck will get to pet and feed the penguins. Karen and the kids will watch. I'm sure Chuck will be thrilled with that experience.

They have a nice condo there and the kids have their own room.

In case anyone is interested it is only 268 more days until we go to Disney World. :lmao:

Ah, I love countdowns! My DH has 53 weeks and two days to retire

Thank you 7165red. Someone told Karen her children are beautiful and she said, "Thank you. I do make beautiful kids." :lmao: But she is right. Jesse looks just like Chuck and Zoey looks more like Karen. I've said it before, but Jesse also looks so much like Ron when he was a baby. It just tugs my heart.

I know Ron would be so happy to spend time with Jesse now that he is older. It's such a shame he never got the chance. I know he is looking over him from heaven, but I just wish he was here. I know I say that a lot too. On the 25 of this month is the second anniversary of when he fell and everything changed.

Sorry I'm being so down tonight. I'll do better.
