Now if you remember, Karen gave me a birthday card for Mothers Day.

This is what I got for my birthday card.

I'm still giggling.

Awww...what a darling card! Those children are just too adorable for words. I still think Zoey looks a LOT like you! How sweet of you to stay overnight so the kids could have a little getaway. I wish Mia & Michael would do that some time, but I could not handle Sophia and 2 very elderly doglets. Our little Jackie has not been doing well and both of them are on meds now. Sophia can be quite a handful!! At 2 1/2 she still co-sleeps and falls asleep with her mama every night. She is not a child you could force to do it any other way - but she will eventually grow out of this and will have her own room and bed. Mia is setting up a toddler bed in their room this summer, then transitioning Sophia to her own room after we move, or in the Fall.

I cannot even begin to imagine how difficult it is for you this time of year, Mary...but you have been so courageous, even in the most difficult moments. Ron must be so very proud of you!

Thank you Christine. I did have a great birthday. I love spending time with the grandkids.

The only thing I can see that Zoey looks like me is in her eyes. She gets that "look" that I know I have when I'm planning something EVIL.

I don't think of myself as being courageous. You should see me when I'm having a cryfest. Sometimes the smallest things will get me going. But like I said before, I have to survive. Now I heard that the cousin that lost her husband a few months ago is having a hard time. Her sisters who should be close to her, never visit or call. They live within a couple of blocks. I guess it will be up to me and my other cousin to help her through this. I think I will call her next week and take her out to lunch or something. She needs to get out of the house.

And thank you all for the birthday wishes. I'm lucky to have so many people here with good wishes for me.

I don't know how I would have coped without all the support I have gotten here. I know I can come here and cry and rage and you will all understand. I am blessed to have so many wonderful friends.

We never seem to be here at the same time

I'm so happy the weather is finally turning beautiful, it really feels like a spring day today

I've noticed that. I come on around 8pm eastern and usually stay until 10.

Boy was it windy here today. It was cooler with no humidity though. It was so windy that it blew over the plants I had on my back porch. I will keep them down below until the wind is gone.

I did better than I thought this week on WW. I lost .2 of the .4 I gained last week. I thought I had gained! So I am happy. Hopefully my pool will be opened next week. I will have to call the pool man on Monday again. I know he is super busy with the big customers right now, but I just don't want him to forget me. I need that pool opened!! I feel so sluggish when I don't get any exercise.

Now on a funny note. I was talking to my cousin the other night. She was all excited that she is watching the old Man from UNCLE series. She is "in love" with the guy who plays Illia (sp?) He is now playing "Ducky" of NCIS. What was funny is that I have just started watching the old Hawaii 5 0. You know how every woman has a fantasy man? Well, I found out that Jack Lord is mine. I've always been attracted to tall men with dark hair and blue eyes. And he was what I had based that on. I never knew that until I started watching that old series. Of course Ron had blond hair and blue eyes. But he was tall and had a killer smile. So we both laughed at finding our "fantasy men" in our old age.

I'm with your cousin, Mary. I had such a crush on Ilya Kuriakin (sp?) when I was a young teenager. It's fun to see him on NCIS (although now I have a crush on Mark Harmon!)

Congrats on losing when you thought you'd gained. My eating has been out of control lately. I think it's the stress from having our house for sale (we want to move to something smaller) and it's end of the school year. I make copies for teachers at a high school and I'm up to my neck in Finals right now.

Oh well - going to Disneyland in 18 days!

I will have to tell my cousin that she has competition for Ilya.

I know what you mean about having your eating get out of control. Sometimes I would eat even when I was full. I'm getting out of that habit now. Stress will put on the pounds for sure.

OK, here comes that horrible hot, hazy, humid weather. I don't do well at this time of year, my fibromyalgia always flares up from now til after 4th of July. I know I shouldn't complain after all the snow we had this year, but can't we have a nice spring that lasts more than a few days? Is it too much to ask for sunny, dry days in the 70's?

HOTHOTHOT!!! Did I mention that it is HOT?? It's still like an oven out there. I spent the whole day babysitting Zoey. She has an ear infection and a slight fever. She is such a good baby, always smiling. It broke my heart when Chuck and Jesse left. She cried and tried crawling after them. AWWWW But I finally distracted her with her musical toys.

We played until around 8 when it was definitely nap time. She slept until 10 and we played and I gave her a bottle which she wanted nothing to do with. She did eat her Cheerios and baby crunchies. We played on the floor some more. Grandmom is NOT made for playing on the floor! She went back for a nap around noon and slept until 20 to 2.

Then we played on the floor some more and I tried another bottle. She drank a couple of sips and then threw it away. LOL When she doesn't want anymore she throws it on the floor. Back to Cheerios and crunchies. She only ate a little bit. I know she isn't feeling well, but she does smile a lot.

We were playing with her musical table when she just pulled herself up and stood there playing with it. I was amazed! Karen later told me she does that a lot. She looked so proud of herself when she did it too.

Around 4 Karen came home with Jesse. He gave me a big hug and tried to sit in my lap while I was holding Zoey. Karen told him to get off, but I told her my lap is big enough for two. He squirmed off a minute later. Karen had a root canal done this morning and then did two hours at the gym! Well, her mouth was numb, but still.

It's hurting her now though. I'm sure she is going to bed early tonight.

Karen asked me if I wanted to go to Storybook Land when I babysit on the 17th. As long as it isn't boiling like today, I would love to go.

My car was stifling when I left. It takes around 15 minutes to get home and just as I drove in the driveway, it started to get cool. LOL

The pool man came and got it opened and all the hoses connected. Now I have to get the ph+ up. It takes a lot to get it up. I've already used almost 2 1/2 bottles of it. I think they are around 5 pounds each. I tested it again when I came home and it still isn't up.

I added more, some algeacide and some chlorine. Hopefully it will be up tomorrow so I can add the stablizer. In any case, I will be taking the solar cover off tomorrow morning and I will get in to vacuum up the dirt on the bottom.

Tomorrow night is the WW meeting. I don't think I've lost an ounce. But at least next week, I will be able to swim and get back losing. I hate plateaus .
