Angelrose's Journey

I looked at the Vh1 website (who says I am NOSY?!?!?!) :rolleyes1
It looks like the Inspiration...
http://www.carnival.com/cms/fun/ships/carnival_inspiration/default.aspx?shipCode=IS

You'll have a ball!

I keep a toilettrie bag packed..that is what I take and I just replenish whatever in between trips.. I never pack till the day before-the day before. Make sense? I make people crazy that I leave it till then but what can I say!?!?!

New Years in Disney...perfect!:woohoo:

You aren't nosy! I would have done the same thing. HA! Yeah, now I remember seeing that name. Do you have any experience with that ship? I SO hope my friend can get up the money to go with me. I don't want to end up staying with a stranger.

This will be my first New Year's doing anything special.

You guys are sooo brave going on a cruise!! Last year I thought I'd be really really brave and signed up for a cruise with another Disney board where I was a member for a long time (don't visit there anymore, it was small and it's changed a lot)....anyway...needed a roomie, but I was kinda late so everyone was already teamed up...even though it was a yr away I chickened out and canceled, even after paying the deposit. Besides my fear of deep water, this 'ole MS cause sever motion sickness and I was very fearful I'd be sick the entire cruise. I did not need much of an excuse to cancel!!

Oh, Minnie56, DL is the best!! My very favorite - something about knowing Walt not only planned it, but was there everyday....I love that place. My first visit was in 1958 and last was 1096. :( Far too long since I've been there.

I'd be covering the all weather furniture too - lived on Boston so many years that I'd not trust any furniture to those bone chilling winters!

Where's our Anglerose today? Must be just about packed. ::yes:: I always have a toiletries bag ready to go too.:thumbsup2

chell, maybe we could have a small DIS Meet? I know 2 other Dis'ers would like that and I saw another Dis'er from G'boro on your Oreo thread (so sad).

:grouphug:

I haven't been on the Inspiration Michelle and not sure that I have booked any Clients on it? It entered into service in 1996 and was refurbished in 2007. It's approx 70,000 tons so not too big. Nice size. I DO hope you get to go!

Ohhh Minnie&Nana--I would get you on a ship!! They are so wonderful now, you barely know you are moving!!! WOW-you were in Disneyland in 1096:scared1: That IS a long time ago! Hehehe...I AM KIDDING! God love you...awww.....you are so sweet.

Where are you Angelrose?

I am off! Going out to dinner..no cooking yay!

;) You mean I never mentioned how well I've aged?:rotfl2: Talk about a typo!!! :rotfl2: Let's make that 1958 - only one number was correct...and yes, I was a kid!! :rotfl2:

Oh, sure, everyone wants to get me on a ship! :rotfl: You'd have to go with me :rotfl: and I'd only try Disney for a first time...that way could tack on a few days at WDW after the cruise...:goodvibes

Ooo, dinner out! where? Good for you ..by the way,...it's freezing in NC today!! Brrrr....37 right now.....even in New England I never adjusted to the cold!

Have fun!

Christine we really should have a small meet. Thank you for being kind & understanding on the Oreo thread. Most people didn't get the point.

I'm afraid of getting sick on the cruise too but I want to go SO bad. It will be awesome to see the band so much. I hope they do lots of shows!!!

It is cold here! I'm here all snuggled up in my blanket but eating ice cream. Why? It was Larry's idea...

Oh, how did I miss the band - what band will be on the ship? I went to the link Minne posted, but have no idea which cruise is the one you'll be on.

How did you ever decide on this cruise, rather than a Disney cruise?

I would LOVE to go on an Adventures By Disney...but my same old problem - no roomie and would not go alone -what fun would that be?

Minnie - are you a Disney TA? is it permissible to tell us the name of your agency? For years my friends said I must have been a TA in another life - booked everything for everyone. My son-in-law is a an AMEX Corporate Travel Manager and DD has been a corporate agent for about 15 yrs(she refuses to supervise)...they send their friends to me for honeymoons and vacations...but I'd never want to do it as a paid job -waay too much pressure! Especially a Disney Specialist TA. Bless your heart - not an easy job.

Eating ice cream all cuddled up in a blanket is perfect! I'm in bed with my laptop - how pathetic is that? :sad2:

Not pathetic at all!

I'm going on the VH1 Best Cruise ever. Shinedown, Lifehouse, 3 Doors Down and some other bands are going to be there. But I'm going for Shinedown. :) I'm completely hooked on them!!! Larry can't go with me because of his school schedule.

You'll have so much fun!

I just realized..Angelrose leaves in a few days, then you on Dec 31, then Minnie for their cruise, then you for your cruise...and who will be here waving goodbye? I'm a big vacation person - getting away even for a few days always lifts my spirits, but it's been over a yr since I have been anywhere. Maybe 2010 will hold a surprise and a friend will want to take a little trip. I'm a perpetual optimist. :thumbsup2

That reminds me that I've been meaning to tell you that solo trips to the world really can be fun. I had a great time taking one in 2006. I was afraid at first but it was fun once I got there. You see it all in a whole new light. The year before I had done a few days by myself when I was there with my sisters. You feel safe, you have great transportation and you don't get bored! It really is the perfect place for a solo trip.

So many Dis'ers say the same thing, chell! I was alone for 2 days a couple of years ago (due to a hurricane my flight was changed, but not my friend)and felt teary the entire time. Guess part of the joy of Disney for me is sharing it with friends and/or family. I am very shy so would not chat with other guests in line and eating alone..ugh....when I was there for the 2 days, took my food back to my room and watched TV. Oh, well...I have Sophia's first trip to look forward too - that will be amazing!!:goodvibes

Welcome back Christine! Have missed you here.

My birthday is May 29th reelmom.

I had a great day today. Karen picked me up at 8:45 for our nail appointments. First they did our toenails. OHHHHHHHH heaven. We both picked out the same shade. A nice sparkly red. Karen got a pine bough with tiny balls on it for her decoration on her big toes and I got a silver snowflake. The both looked great. Then we had our nails done. I got the same decoration on my thumbs, but Karen got a wreath with a Rhinestone on the bow. I was so excited to see how shiny and pretty my nails looked. I got home around noon and my cousin was calling me. After I told her about getting my nails done, she said I should have told her and she would have gone with us. Oh well, maybe next year. They were shooting again today so I went over to her house for a couple of hours this afternoon. We talked as she got out the ornaments for her tree. It was a fun time. I got home around 3:30. I watched some Christmas movies on tv for the rest of the evening.

Tomorrow I'm going to the mall. I need to get some gas, some bulbs and I want to see the Christmas decorations at the stores. I have to stop at the bank on the way home, then the post office to stop the mail until I get back. After I get home, I won't be going out until I leave on Friday morning.

Thank you CJ. I am so excited AND nervous at the same time. But I will write my notes every day so I can write a trip report when I get back. I'll wait until we get our photopass cd back and downloaded. But I will come back here and tell everyone how good it was as soon as I get back.

4 days, 14 hours and 57 minutes to go.

4 days!! :woohoo: Sooo exciting!! I just love the days before we leave for a Disney trip.:goodvibes

Your nails sounds beautiful - you are going to be the prettiest guest of all during your visit! 10 days, yes? We sure will miss you lots, but will be thinking of all the adventures you'll be having with Jesse.

It is so good to be back, Angelrose - thank you!

Glad you had a great day...I watched some movies this afternoon too - "The Holiday" is one of my new favorites - light hearted romantic comedy. There a Disney Mickey Christmas movie on this morning, but I missed it.

Sweet dreams, my friends - see you all here tomorrow.:goodvibes

I did my last minute shopping today. I stopped the mail. I stopped in the Disney store. (Never a good idea) I don't know how it happened but two little stuffies jumped into my hand. Mickey and Minnie in the ice skating outfits. So cute. All blue and white. sighhhhhhhhhhh I didn't really need those. But come home with me they did. I stopped in Target and got the colorized version of It's a Wonderful Life, one last stop at the bank and I came home. Not leaving the house until Friday. I don't have too much to do. One last load of wash tomorrow. Pack my t shirts on Wednesday and wait for the kids to pick it up around 4:30. Thursday I will be calling my pick up car to confirm and printing out my boarding pass. OH MY GOODNESS IT'S ALMOST FRIDAY!!!

But I'm not the least bit excited.

Oh, I had a dream about Ron last night. But it ended to quickly. I dreamed he sat on my bed and I asked, "What are you doing here?" He was smiling and then I woke up. DARN. I never found out what he wanted. Maybe he was just telling me to have a good time.

Ooh, I bet your nails are beautiful! I've been getting my nails done in An Affair in Red Square. It is bright red and has a little bit of sparkle in it. I only get them done about 2 -3 times a year. But it does make you feel special. It is a wonderful treat before a Disney trip! I'm glad you and Karen got to go together.

Didn't you say you were nervous about your trip? I bet Ron was there to comfort you.

We'll have to make up stories about what you must be doing in the parks while you are gone. ;) We sure are going to miss you. I hope you have absolutely perfect weather!

I'm a shy one too! Thankfully I'm no where near as bad as I used to be. But I don't talk to people in line and all that. But I do love to just sit and people watch. It can be so much fun. It's fun to try to figure out their "story" too. Where are they from? Who are they with? What is the purpose of their trip? Etc.

Sophia's first trip is surely going to be something very special for all of you!

Of course, Mickey and Minnie had to come with you - where else would they have found the perfect home? :thumbsup2

I just love those kind of dreams....think Ron is making sure you know he'll be with you everyday. What a sweetie.

I'm pooped - took Sophia to a Mall today - she was sooo cute (even if I do say so myself)...seemed nearly everyone stopped to talk to her when she was out of the stroller, walking around Dillard's. She is very shy, but is beginning to enjoy it when people say hello to her - she wrinkles her nose and flashes those dimples around her mouth. :goodvibes

I'm sorry - just gotta a share a couple of photos.;)

Here she was on Halloween and Thanksgiving:
