Bassinet stroller question

In September we will have around a 2 month old when we go to the parks and stay on property for 2 weeks.

My question is I plan to get a bassinet stroller to use for baby while in parks and such.

Would it be okay to use the stroller as a bassinet/crib for sleeping at night?

Trying to have less things in the room if possible.

I never needed it with my first because we never took him that young.

That depends on the specific brand of stroller you buy. Some stroller bassinets are rated for overnight sleep, but some are not. So you'll need to check with the specific brand you buy. And I believe, if I'm not mistaken, the bassinet will have to have a separate stand to sit in. I don't think you can leave it attached to the stroller for overnight sleep.

I would ask your pediatrician. I’m out of the baby loop, but when my kids were little they said to never let them sleep for too long in the car seat/stroller because of the angle. The bassinet is flat, I assume, so that shouldn’t be an issue, but I would want a doctor’s advice.

The other thing to consider is if baby will actually sleep in it. We always used a pack&play when traveling because they were used to napping in it at home and at the grandparent’s house. I brought my own sheets and their sleep sacks.

I had a big stroller with a bassinet attachment, I don’t see why not. I’d lift it off of the stroller with a sleeping baby and put it on a table, my babies would sleep for hours in it.

Does anyone have recommendations for a bassinet stroller.. that can turn into a seat for growing baby? The stroller I have doesn't recline enough and I would prefer a bassinet style for our trip with our roughly 2 month old for our trip.

I've been out of the stroller game for so long. I think the citi mini is "near-flat" recline. Britax used to make one that reclined all the way, I'm not sure if they still do.

My dd has the Uppa Baby that she used for the bassinet and then switched out for the seat. I believe she has a double one now where there is a seat for my grandson and the bassinet for the baby and that can also be switched out.

I wish I could be of more help but I have a really nice double stroller that my dh and I used for the first time last weekend, but we had to put it in my truck still opened and in my garage opened because we cannot figure out how to close it LOL
We will look on youtube this weekend LOL

Gravo used to make one that was an all-in-one and you could change for forward or rear facing once sitting. But that thing was a beast and we only took it to WDW once as it was an absolute PITA to get in and off the buses. We took our then 2 1/2 and 1-mo and used a peg perero double stroller. As much as I loved the bassinette stroller, it was just too big. Make sure whatever you’re taking into the park is easy to break down and isn’t a “beast” on the bus. You’ll be so glad to not struggle with that.

Yes, great point. One trip we were waiting for the bus at POR and this family had a huge Bob double jogging stroller. She was arguing with the bus driver about having to fold it and wanted him to put down the ramp at the back door instead. I wanted to tell her she was in for a frustrating trip if she didn’t want to fold her humongous stroller.

Oh I definitely agree. Usually when we take the bus I am always with my parents or husband but my second half of my trip it will be me and my friend so I definitely want easy. I am also staying at POP so less buses! haha my favorite part!

Oh man! the only way i think she would have gotten that on the bus was if it had a medical tag on it haha... this is why im trying to do some research and information about it before i go... ill have my parents van so if i don't feel like taking the bus i wont have to worry about it. and i have an annual pass so parking isnt an issue for me
