Hello my friends. I have kept myself very busy these last few weeks. This is kind of a hard time for me, but I'm determined not to be sad. Ron loved all the decorations so much and I'm sure he is still enjoying them.
I have been baking batches of pumpkin oat bread, making cinnamon almonds, making 5 minute fudge wreaths and making "turtles". Those are really easy. You just got those mini pretzels, stick a Rolo on top, throw it in a 350 oven for 3 minutes (or less) and then take it out and squish a pecan on top so that it looks like a turtle. They taste really good. Sweet and salty all in one bite.
I have also kept busy with the grandkids. I've been going to their swim team practices on Monday so that Karen can swim too. That is fun and they are both doing really well.
Tomorrow we are taking the kids to Storybook Land to see all the lights. I enjoy that too.
Friday is my son's birthday. I can't believe he's going to be 42! Where does the time go? I got him his usual present, a Hess Truck. He saves them all.
We had our Christmas pictures taken and made into cards this year. Karen posted them on Facebook and also posted them online, so I feel safe to post a couple of them here.

! This week dr said, she probably would not talk to us again and go peacefully in her sleep. Well, let me say, Drs are not God! On my visit yesterday, I arrived very heavyhearted expecting the worst. I softly called her name, once again to our surprise she woke up and told me 'she was delighted to see me and how much she loved me'! Ditto!!!!!!
. Meanwhile I am soaking up all the time I can with this lovely lady, I have been so blessed to have as my mother.

After we left, they went to do some grocery shopping and Santa had to make a last minute stop at Build A Bear. It seems Jesse told Santa that he wanted Rudolph and no one else. He mentioned that he was going to get Rudolph while we were at Storybook Land. So I got Rudolph and Clarice for Zoey. I also picked up a gray mouse for me. I know, there is no hope for me at all.
I told her if she would lay down and close her eyes she wouldn't hurt her chin. LOL Back downstairs.
You are truly blessed to have such a supportive, caring son and daughter-in-law. I envy you.
