day three
Tuesday 1st April
Today I managed to get everyone up early much to everyones surprise not least my own!!
We headed for the studios and made it into the park for 10.00am. I watched in amazement at the Tower of Terror, as the
lift doors opened and everyone screamed. I knew I just had to try this ride.
I had butterflys just looking at it. Little did I know what was to come!! DD7 insisted she also would like to try it. So we went to get her measured and sure enough she cleared the measuring stick easily much to my surprise.
DM suffers from clautrophobia, so this ride was completely
out of the question and so she offered to mind DS 4m while th rest of us all queued. The wait time was only 5 minutes and we were on in no time
All I can say is WOW and WOW again. This is now my favourite ride. All I could do was laugh.
The theming really is excellent but the sensation on the ride is amazing. I dont think I have ever laughed this hard. We came off, got fastpasses for another go and joined the queue again, now a 20 min wait, but we didnt mind, we done this ride 3 times in a row !!!! :
Next up was Aerosmith. This was turning out to be a wild day. I dont normally do coasters except BTM, but still feeling exhilarated from TOT
I allowed myself to be talked into going on this. It was superb. Especially the part where we went upside down.
As soon as we came of this we went straight back on with only a 5 min wait time. DM had been left minding DS 4m for quite a while and guilt was starting to set in, so we all walked over to do the studio tram tour. DS 4m slept through the entire tour even during catastrophe canyon. DM really
enjoyed this ride, which made up for all the babysitting in the cold.
We then accidently stumbled across a drawing class whch was just finishing, this was located at the exit of disney art of animation.
The next character was Mickey himself!! Of course we had to take part in this and it was great fun and enjoyed by all.
We were all starting to feel a little hungry, so we decided to go to Planet Holywood. I was also carrying the Disneyland Paris guide book with the 20%
off. The food here was really nice.
Almost all of us opted for the cheeseburger with fries, DD13 had the Lasagne, which although she could only manage half of this said it was delicious. DD& had chicken nuggets and fries. DD's had the chocolate and banana milkshakes. Although the banana milkshake was chilled, the chocolate milkshake was warm, and we had to request some ice cubes.
We got a dessert, whch i cant remember the name of, but it was made of 4 different tasters, including a chocolate brownie (yum)
strawberry cheesecake, sorbet and ice cream, very nice. We had no problem getting the discount and the service was excellent.
During lunch it had started to rain qite a bit and DM thought it may be a good opportunity to go shopping at Val de europe.
We had been told we could reach this on the no.34 bus, I had never been here before but was keen to go as I knew I could
pick up a discount book with my shareholders certificate. So we all got the bus in the rain, to make our way to Val de europe.
As soon as we saw a sign on the corner of a large building we got of the bus. Of course it was the wrong stop, as we didnt know val de europe was at the end of the bus route. We found ourselves at a business park also called val de europe, so when we realised our mistake it was back to the bus stop.
The weather was miserable, and we waited for 20 mins for the next bus. We finally made it to the shopping centre and explored some of the shops, I was keen to find la Vallee shopping village, and stopped to ask for directions at the informaton point within the Val de europe centre
but unfortunately the lady on reception was quite rude, and would only say it was outside, after asking in which direction
I should go, she dismissed me with a wave of her hand, shouting outside.
We walked for another while, before deciding to call it a day here. La Vallee, wherever it was would have to wait, with
sore feet and a cranky baby, and DD's wanting to rest we headed back to the villa.
After such a wild start to the day, the energy levels plummeted and I found myself fighting sleep. So with plans to try to make a run for crush in the morning before heading back to the tower of terror
, I went to bed around 10pm and fell asleep instantly.
