Andreah and Brian - Dec 8th, 2009 (Reception Photos Posted)

The guest book looks great! Hooray for your first fitting, the dress is beautiful! I'm glad they are going to be able to shorten the train and make it all work!

Hi Andreah! Just wanted to tell you how much I love all of your plans! Your wedding is going to be gorgeous and you are definitely inspiring me for mine! I love your wedding gown! How awesome you got such a good deal on it! It looks great!! I am actually looking at buying the same Cinderella jewelry as you too! I love it in the photos but I havent seen it real life yet. Did you get it in yet? Do you have any photos of you wearing it, or any other actual photos not from their website? I wanted a size reference and to know how they really look. I want to get the earrings, bracelet, and hair clip. Thanks and looing foward to reading more!

Awesome! I got the jewelry in a couple of weeks ago and I LOVE IT!!! It is really gorgeous in "real-life". I got so many bargains on so many things, but the jewelry was my one little splurge. I said I would buy myself a piece from the collection for each 5 pounds I lost, so I suppose the earrings were for 5 and the hairpiece was for 10. I've passed 15 now, so I guess I owe myself a bracelet!

At first glance, I thought the earrings would be too big, but after trying them on they seem just right. I'll try to snap some photos of them soon and post them here . . .

Looking good

Thanks guys!

Well, I guess it's our turn for some drama . . . yesterday Brian's mom called and is ready to throw in the towel. Brian's dad has early-stages Alzheimer's and, while his mind is still pretty sharp, he's been having some unpleasant side effects to his meds from time to time. Well, he had another incident yesterday, and it really shook up Brian's mom. She just doesn't think they'll be able to make the trip for our wedding.

We're pretty torn about it. We understand where they're coming from. If they're not comfortable, we shouldn't put any pressure on them. But Brian's bummed because that means he won't have ANY of his family members at the wedding. But, we have lots of friends going, and they're family in our hearts. :grouphug:

On the other hand, we just want the "wishy washy" to be done . . . we don't need a bunch of drama on our big day. So . . . maybe it's for the best. We managed to convince his mom to not cancel any plans until we've had a little more time to think through all of the options and repercussions. They had bought trip insurance from both the airline and Disney, but I don't think this would be considered a "sudden medical emergency" so I think they'd end up losing the money spent on airfare, which is a little less than $400 (total).

I called Disney dining to make sure that we wouldn't lose any of our dining reservations that we made online using their resort confirmation number, and they said that we would be fine. We don't need to do anything more with those.

And I called the airline (Northwest) because Gavin's flight reservation was linked to theirs. He's traveling with me and Brian TO Florida, but he'll be traveling with relatives on the way home while we stay a few extra days to Honeymoon. I had to link his return flight to other adults so that it didn't look like he was traveling unaccompanied. But, given the circumstances, I thought it would be best to link his reservation to my dad's in case Brian's parents don't show. All it took was a quick phone call and the nice lady at Northwest reservations took care of EVERYTHING for us.

So, we'll be okay regardless. I think the trip will be a little more "worry-free" if his parents stay behind, but they will be missed very very much. We were REALLY hoping this would be a nice experience for them, and we thought that if there was ANYWHERE in the world that was equipped to accommodate their special needs, it's Disney. :confused3

I stumbled across some cute pink velour jogging suits on Hanes.com this morning on clearance, and I snatched up 6 sets for me, my Maid of Honor, Matron of Honor, Honorary Bridesmaid, my mom and my good friend to wear to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party:

Each piece was $5.99, so it was a great deal!

I got black t-shirts to wear underneath the jackets, and that's what I'll use to iron on the swarovski crystal sparkle transfers I've been working on. I think they'll be cute . . . at least I HOPE they will be :cutie:

Andreah,

First off, I just want to let you know how much I've enjoyed your planning journal. I've been reading it for quite a few months while I was planning my own Disney wedding. You have an amazing talent in organizing and developing!

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I understand where you're coming from about the family thing. None of Mark's siblings came (one of them is even a flight attendant) and his mom didn't come. So, while all my family attended except for my sister who had JUST had a baby (my cousin even came and she wasn't invited! lol But, we're really glad she and her husband came!), but Mark only had his dad and step-mom there. I'm really disappointed in Mark's family, but in the end, it all turned out wonderful. Mark was great about the whole thing and my family really tried to make his parents feel comfortable. You're right, just having the whole thing settled is important. I think y'all have the right attitude about the situation.

Oh, and your pictures are amazing!! I was so disappointed when Misty told me she was already booked for our wedding. :sad1:

Your dress looks so pretty! :goodvibes I love all the details in the front!

And sorry to hear about Brian's dad. Will you be having a videographer? Maybe they can do a live broadcast of your wedding ceremony, so his mom and dad can watch at home. :goodvibes Or I can pretend to be one of Brian's long lost cousins and represent his side of the family! :rotfl:

I just read your entire PJ -- everything looks lovely. Your dress is beautiful and your e-pics came out fantastic! Love the ToT invites -- so creative and fun.

the dress look great on you! i cant wait to see the next fitting! and i really like the pink outfits you found for the bridal party! you girls are gonna look the awesome walking down main street together!
Im also so sorry to hear about Brian's dad. It gonna be hard with out them there, i know how he feels, i think that only my cousin (moh) and her mom will be coming from my father's side. the rest are mad we are not having the wedding at home. but i love the live webcam idea!

Sorry . . . not yet. I'm going today for my 2nd dress fitting and will take the earrings with me. Maybe one of the girls can take photos for me :)

Here are a few photos from the second dress fitting this weekend and, by request, we managed to get a couple of photos with earrings on!
