Andrea & Kory's 6/11/11 Wishes Wedding--WP&GF Ballroom**Updated 8/15 Ann. Pics Last!

Today was our day in Cozumel. This is the only stop that I previously been to. The excursion for the day was a dolphin encounter. I swan with dolphins on one cruise when I was little, but have been wanting to do it again, so I was really excited!

After we got off the boat at the port, we were waiting for everyone to gather and we saw the mom with the two kids that sit next to us at dinner. Turns out they were doing the same excursion so we chatted with them for a little bit.

I was expecting the dolphing to be in the ocean, maybe with a gate or something and I was a little nervous because I hate the ocean. But this place had what were like 5 or 6 big pool areas that was near the ocean, but no connection to it so I was relieved.

They broke us into smaller groups of about 15 and there were about 2different groups in sections of each pool. The water was freezing! But it was so much fun! The dolphins came up and gave you a kiss on the cheek, you shook hands with the dolphins, they pulled you with their fins, and then they swam by a bunch so you could pet them. It was so neat!

Kory didn't want to buy his picture..oh well! Anyways, right at the end, it started POURING! Freezing rain! Our pool was right next to the tiny restaurant where we were to eat as part of the excursion so our group that we could go right back up there, but no! They made us go all the way around the whole arena thing. It was kinda funny. Since it was pouring and lightning, everyone was trying to eat at the same time and there were no open tables. The mom and the two kids had a table so they called us over to eat with them. We had a great time talking and they're such a neat family! Super smart kids and the mom was one of those truly southern ladies. They were Auburn fans and so while we decided that we could be friends since we were both SEC fans, we did like to tease each other, especially the kiddos. After we ate, it was time to head back to the port.

When we got back to the port, I saw there was a Fat Tuesdays. There was a Fat Tuesdays in my college towns and one of my best friends and I went there almost every Tuesday night. Now when we travel together, we always try to hunt one down, if there is one in the city, and when I saw this one, I made sure we stopped. We each got a yummy frozen drink (I got the banana flavor) in a half yard and enjoyed the great music! (I love "booty music" and Fat Tuesdays always plays this kind!

So after taking a nap and showering, we got ready for dinner. At dinner we talked to the mom and kids some more and they were determined to get front row seats to the show and said that we had to meet them there. So we did and this became a nightly habit as well.

We soon learned that we were sailing through a tropical depression. And boy could I feel it! This was my 13th cruise and I had NEVER gotten seasick. But I was not feeling good that night. I finally had Kory go get me some medicine from the store, and I didn't think it would really work but it did!

And of course, our towel animal for the night

I do love the friends you meet on vacations!

Since the weather had been so bad, the boat had to dock at a different port in Isla Roatan. Apparently where they normally dock, there is a resortish area right there where you can pay a small fee to go swimming and such. But the port we did dock at was really small. But I was still amazed at how busy it was considering it was a last minute change.

Today was our zip-lining excursion. I was soooo excited! I had seen this on reality shows and always wanted to do it! So we boarded a bus and were on our way.

Here's view from on top of one of the mountains

When we got to the treetops, I got a little scared...we were really high up! But it was so much fun! I would LOVE to do it again!

Aww! Maybe try a 3 day cruise...he might be surprised!

Today was our day in Belize. Our excursion was called "Raiders of the Lost Mayan Cave". I was a little nervous because it was an "advanced" excursion that included rappelling down a cliff and crawling through small spaces. When we booked the excursion, the girl helping us with tiny and she said it was one of her favorite that she'd done and so I figured that if she could do it, I could do it! And it actually turned out to be really easy! The "rapelling" was where you just sat in a harness over the edge of a cliff and they just dropped you down, and the small space wasn't that bad either..my knees never touched the ground!

So the trip there was an hour and a half each way! And the last half hour right before the cave was dirt road and so bumpy!

We got there and had to put on harnesses and a helmet with a light on it.
Belize-CaveTour1.jpg

Then we set off!
Belize-CaveTour3.jpg

We had to climb backwards down a small edge, zip line, walk over shaky bridges, and "rappell" down a cliff. It was so fun!
Belize-CaveTour5.jpg

And we saw bats which I thought was so cool!
Belize-CaveTour-Bats.jpg

We had a small lunch and then got on the bus to head back to the boat. It turns out that the tropical depression was still messing things up. The mom with the two kids had an excursion first thing in the morning for snorkeling but the storm had churned the waters up so badly that they couldn't see anything and the waves were so bad that a couple of people had floated off and their little boat had to go get them. So the couple next to us, who had the same excursion planned for later in the day, had their cancelled because it was so bad.

We rested and got ready for dinner.

I don't usually do excursions when I go on cruises since they're so expensive, but since we signed up for a honeymoon registry, I wanted to go all out!

Oh, you should do it! There are trees and bushes below you, so it doesn't seem like you're really too far off the ground!

Today's port was Costa Maya. We had signed up to go tour the Mayan Ruins. I thought they would look so neat! We had to get up pretty early, but I am a really light sleeper and about a half hour before we had to get up, I heard them making announcement over the loud speaker in the hall. Apparently the tropical depression was still making a mess. It wasn't raining, but the waves were so bad that when they lowered the gang plank for us to walk onto, the waves were crashing onto it. And since it wasn't safe, they weren't going to let us off the boat. Grr! I mean, I understand, but still! So they pulled back out to the ocean and we had a day at sea. Blah! I mean, 1 or 2 are okay, but I'm not really a laying out person and this would now make 3 days at sea. They gave us the money back for the excursions.

Oh well! We went back to sleep and got up and layed out for a little bit, but not too long. Then that afternoon they had the newlyweds game. Ever since I was a little girl, I always wanted to play that. And DH was such a good sport! We wore our Just Married shirts and got there early. But they chose the couples based on who had been married the longest, the middle range, and the shortest. We had 2 weeks from our wedding to our honeymoon and there was a couple that had gotten married the night before the cruise so we didn't get to play. It was still funny to watch though! Then they had a BINGO game. We hadn't played the whole cruise, but we thought "What the heck" and bought a ticket. And we won!!! Another person won too, so we had to split the pot, but we still won $150. Not bad!

Here's a picture of us in the dining room

I may have to think about it! ;D I'm so nervous. Heights & I are brutal enemies. I almost had a panic attack after Tower of Terror! They had to sit me down & hope I stopped shaking! =X Such a baby haha.

Our last day was a day at sea. We had booked a couples massage for the morning. I booked a hot stone massage. It was wonderful. It was DH's first massage and I think he's hooked. And at the end it was so cute because the massage therapist picked up my hand and was massaging it and then somehow connected my hand with DH's so we ended up holding hands. So romantic...and relaxing!

We laid out some more and then went back to the room to start packing up. I so didn't want to go home!

For our last dinner, we had made a reservation at the special restaurant that you had to pay for. Another great thing from our honeymoon registry. The steaks wer sooo good as was the appetizers and the dessert. And it was quiet and dark and pretty romantic. It was a good way to end the honeymoon.

Here is a picture of us before dinner at the front of the boat.

Our honeymoon was amazing! We got to do so many fun excursions and just relax after crazy wedding planning!

Oh and here's a picture of the boat

And I just saw that Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons used the picture of my hanger from my wedding as their wall post today!

Ah, I thought that was your hanger! But I wasn't sure! I loved it! Where did you get it from? I want one sooo badly!! I gotta start sending my MOH some links! haha.

Everything looks like soo much fun! I'm definitely looking into the zip lining, which of course is crazy expensive. But we'll see if I can do it!

That couple massage sounds soo romantic! I'm surprising Dave with a couples massage and a few other little things on the HM. It's a special package that Sandals offers. So hopefully he won't get TOO mad that I bought it. haha. =X

Yay! I'm so happy you had soo much fun! You 2 are a gorgeous couple! <3
