and we're back. [Walt, Wizards, and....Woolungasaurus?]

Aw, thank you.

I hate feeling so obsessed. Hate it hate it hate it. But I don't talk about it to anyone but Robert (though E talks about when he has a sister ALL the time), so then it just leaks out here.

Aw dang, I think E just woke up. His throat is NOwhere near as red as it was with the strep, but it's hurtin' him something fierce today (sorry, watching Night at the Museum 2 the other day a few times in a row, now I'm talking like Owen's character I guess), and it took quite a bit to get him to sleep! Namely, sitting with him on my lap like he was a baby, in a steamy hot bathroom, on the edge of the tub, to ease his chest, where his nearly 50 lbs fell asleep on me. I would like him to sleep all night please, just so my arms can get back to normal after that! :goodvibes

Although I'm letting the Legos sit out on the floor and coffee table all night (unlike Robert), I'm actually getting other stuff done, which is nice. Today's project was changing around my record-keeping for insurance and things that get charged to insurance. Might not make any more room in the house, but it will help my brain! And since the semi-good record-keeping I've been doing recently helped figure out a thing that insurance did (a good thing! they reevaluated a claim, all on their own, from Oct '08, and paid the provider what they should have done then, which means the provider gets to return some of the money I paid him!), I figure that GREAT record-keeping will also yield good things. Even if it's only peace of mind that I can put my hands on what I want to get...that's good.

Of course that stuff just keeps me from the WDW stuff sitting next to me right now. The "how can we stretch these DVC points to make this vacation?" work.

Uh oh, I mentioned WDW when I wasn't going to! Shh!

More Off Topic totally not related to WDW conversation, feel free to skip!
Oh, it's really OK that he's delayed coming home. It was actually my idea after looking at calendar weeks and whatnot. But then he went ahead and called their TA and made it happen, while I was like "oh wait, maybe we should take a month or two off of this whole baby thing, what with WDW and all in December", but it's too late now!

Sorry, waaaay TMI.

And waaaaay bummer, b/c I really, you know, thought...you know. Went off coffee, foods were weird...sigh.

Oh well. Sucks.

At least I have another few weeks minimum to continue getting this weight off, right? Because it'll only take a few weeks to lose, oh, 70 pounds, right? :rotfl: (eta, not that I would stop exercising should anything fun happen. now I'm in an established fitness routine, and they always say that you can normally continue with your ROUTINE...so I'm glad I have a routine now!)

That is the biggest bummer of wanting a baby sooooo bad. The disappointment that can happen month after month. Been there, done that, would not wish it on my worst enemy. Actually having R gone for a couple of weeks could be a good thing. Not necessarily calendar wise, but stress wise in the pro creation department. It can get so exhausting with the planning and the hoping and what not. Not to mention the emotional strain it can put on an otherwise healthy relationship.

And E may have a line on what's coming next. Wouldn't surprise me to hear that you do get preggers soon AND that it turns out to be a girl.

OT: Have you tried an ovulation kit now that some of R's medical problems are being taken care of? Dr.'s told me they were supposed to work - never did for me - but, it could work for timing purposes if that's an issue.

Hoping things work out for you, I feel your pain. There aren't big spaces between my kids on purpose - we wanted 4 MUCH closer together. Although
now that we have our two littles I wouldn't change a thing. :thumbsup2

And one other little tidbit. I was carrying too much weight with my last 2 kids and actually didn't gain a pound with either of them. I don't gain in the first trimester anyway, I lose about 5-10 pounds - and just kept weighing the same whenever I went to the Dr. Turns out after I had them I had lost about 15 or more pounds. Too bad my metabolism and hormones are wacked and I couldn't keep it off! Maybe the no weight gain thing will work for you!

The first while that E was talking about his sister (or brother), I was all excited. After all, my grandmother's oldest child (it's hard to call her my aunt, as she tragically died at 7) started telling neighbors "my mom is having a Judy baby". Nama did NOT know she was pregnant with her third baby until a bit after chastising Susan for this. Then she found out. Then Susan died (can you imagine the grief). Then the baby was born, and it was a girl (my mom), and of course they named her Judy.

But...it's been going on too long for me to think he knows what he's talking about with that. But who knows? Hope MUST spring eternal!

I used the Clear Blue Easy monitor for about 6 or 7 months. And then we found out about the prolactinoma. I've been considering starting to use it again, now that it seems more likely that things might happen. Since the diagnosis, each month has been more like a "eh, can't hurt, even if it's unlikely" thing. But it would probably be a good idea. Those strips are expensive!

Oh how great it would be to not gain! I gained 60 pounds with E. And since there were very very FEW foods that I could eat, that's impressive. Though it all came off quite quickly, all but the last 5 lbs, which I then let depress me so much I turned it into...however much I weigh now, LOL.

Goodness gracious! While surfing the Dis I've been trying to get surveys on my rewards site, and I just realized that I have to find all the things for Robert when we meet up at the airport tomorrow! Yikes!

Ah Molly. I sure hope things turn out just right for you. I don't know what that means, because you are surely a wonderful Mom to E and if that is all there is well that is a wonderful thing. For me, Nathan keeps begging for a little brother or sister and I keep telling him that is never going to happen. He is my forever baby and that is that. But that being said, I know your heart desires another and I hope your wish comes true!

Thanks Tracey. :lovestruc

*************

Went to the airport, fed DH some homemade food, brought him stuff he needs and took home stuff he didn't. Sat around for awhile and watched DS and DH be goofy.

He will be landing soon at LAX, and has a 3+ hour layover, which is so so obnoxious. Too long to not go bananas at the airport; too short to, you know, go to Disneyland. :rotfl:

We couldn't have gone with him (no passports!), but I was SO tempted just to catch a plane to Anaheim! With E, of course. It's hard to be *in* an airport and not go anywhere!

Oh, I bet he appreciated the homemade food. When DH used to travel he really, really appreciated home cooking when he got home. It's hard to eat well when you travel, especially when you're veggie or actually aren't veggie but eat a lot of veggies!! :rolleyes1

I would have been VERY tempted to jump on a plane if I were at the airport.

I am having a really hard time not planning a trip to DLR this year. It will be our first year w/out a DL trip in 4 years. We have other things we need to take care of and a trip to San Francisco in Aug., but I really want to go to DLR somehow. Spring break would be perfect, and our AP's would still be good and our kids wouldn't miss school - but I just can't justify the expense or being gone two weeks before our son comes home from Taiwan after being gone for 2 years. Who knows how long it will take to get his room back together since it seems to have been collecting all of the things we don't know where to put. :confused3

If only your son were coming home *before* Spring Break! Then it could have been a big celebratory trip. :)

DH is now on a plane heading to an airport where he will just have enough time to get to the biiiig plane that will bring him home. He'll be at seatac in about 23 hours. Ugh, poor guy.

He went to bed so late last night and got up to find out that his boss had thrown some extra tests at him while he was sleeping (she does NOT pay attention to time zones). So instead of a casual breakfast and getting to the airport super-early, he had to rush rush rush. But it all got done.

DS seemed well enough to go to the Y yesterday for gymnastics. I'm glad he did, because were able to sign up for priority somethingorother that gets him automatically in next session of gymnastics. They have two sessions per season...if you have good attendance the first session, you're auto-entered for the second. But between seasons there's no auto anything.

Anyway, I noticed that almost everyone at the Y had a nasty nasty cough. I felt like I was in a hospital ward! And I now feel silly for worrying about getting others sick, because I seem to be the ONLY one. :confused3

But as the class went on, I started to feel sick, and as we drove home, he got the nasty chest cough that everyone had. So it seems to be a sneaky illness.

Today we stayed home from PE, and I'm sure we'll be well for Thursday. Even if I'm not, DH can take him (he'll stay home a couple days for his health, preventatively, and because he gets so little sleep while working on trips).

Made the biggest "snowball" payment to our car yet! Took almost $600 of principal off the balance. Could have sent more, but kept some money back to buy a WDW ticket for E. Still haven't decided where I'm buying it. Undercover Tourist through Mousesavers is the cheapest. Undercover Tourist through the rewards site I use and love and makes my days bright and sunny link is almost as cheap, and gives a few bucks back in Sunshine. So it's more out of pocket, but gives us some back in rewards that will become a Disney GiftCard (and helps support Sunshine, since they get a cut of course). Decisions decisions.

Plus we still have the CD-sales checks coming...not sure where those will be put yet. Snowball, ticket, plain old savings for the trip...

I'm going to continue cleaning and do some recycling, but then I WILL come back and do trip stuff! I think I'll talk about DHS today!

italicized bit is because the dis doesn't seem to allow even the *mention* of the full name of the site anymore...type mypoints, no problem, type bing, no problem, but THAT one, the nicest and sweetest and loveliest one, and they get starred out....whatever! dudes, it's not a link! it's just the name.

Ok that was a lot of recycling and a lot of living room cleanup. I always think Robert's being a goof when he has DS clear the Legos up each night...but wow, 1.5 weeks of being slobby sure does spread the Legos out!

R is on his flight, and DS is up late (the cleanup caused me to not realize how late it was until we were both headachey from not having dinner, ack!), but will soon head to slumber-land.

And then...maybe I can convince myself to think and write about my thoughts on the park that includes Toy Story Midway Mania!

Things I don't particularly care to do:

Fantasmic.
American Idol Experience (is that still going on?)

Haven't done Playhouse Disney at DCA yet...probably won't concern myself with it at DHS. That's up to E though...and he's behind our not going to it at DCA.

Ridiculously excited to check out their TSMM! I'm sure the ride is just about the same; it's the line that's going to be neat. :goodvibes

Actually, the whole experience of having indoor rides and lines will be fun for me. What a goober!

I'm so bummed about Star Tours. I assume the refurb is going to be a long one, and since it only starts in October...

Someday we'll go for Star Wars Weekends.

Although I have very little interest in eating at the Brown Derby (only one vegetarian option!), I do indeed wish to try their grapefruit cake. I've read that you can, sometimes, get it at Starring Rolls, so I might have to try that.

Robert and Eamon have already informed me that we WILL be going to the Pizza Planet. They don't care about the menu, just the ambiance!

Hmm. That seems to be all I have to say!

I have to so agree with you about the AI experience. I watch it, but, I just don't find that interesting. My kidlings are all teenagers so we have never done the playhouse Disney thing, I actually think I might like to see it. And those teenage kidlings of mine, the girls at least watch playhouse more now than when they were younger.

The whole concept of inside lines is odd and interesting to me, and Disney does lines better than anyone else.

Do you like Screamin at DCA? If so, you definitely don't want to miss Rock 'n Roller Coaster. IMO, it's better than Screamin, and there's a SR line which doesn't take that long usually. :thumbsup2

Also, is E into cars? Cause the Lights, Motors, Action Stunt show is spectacular!

Ooh, and Great Movie Ride was much better than I thought it would be. :goodvibes

Had a small, in my head only, breakdown the other day of missing Disneyland so so so so much that I was going to just gift a WDW stay to our family, and just go to Disneyland a few times instead.

Oh man that day the disneyland-missing hurt so much!

I had NO idea that our little "hey, we're in so cal, might as well go" day trip in '05 would cause such deep feelings!

Aw poor Molly.

Yes, well that's what happens when DS watches Monsters Inc! The music brings me back to DCA and I curl into a ball (in my mind) and whimper.

Today, however, I completely lost my mind and told DH that as long as he continued to sort the CDs he wants to sell (so that I can value them on abundatrade and secondspin and get them sent off), that he doesn't have to go to his friend's for the stupidbowl (sorry to the fans...I just...can't call it "super" b/c it's so overblown and ridiculously NOT about actual football). Not that he was planning on that, though he and E went last year (while I had a fun time shopping at Ikea with a friend), but I figured it would be extra nice of me. But ohhhhh I'd forgotten how much I dislike it. 18 minutes into the programming...still no playing...gahhhhhhhhh.

It is way overblown. If it was more about the game than the party it might be different.

And the announcers have the Dora syndrome...think they need to YELL everything to be heard. Forgetting that they have these clever little things called microphones...

Why are they all *holding* microphones? Are we actually supposed to believe they don't have microphones clipped onto them? Or is that to make sure they can put them down if they need to say anything naughty?

Stop yelling! Even if you can't hear yourself, WE can hear you if you whisper...shhhh....

Eamon is so confused by the halftime show (can probably tell by that that sports aren't really on much in this household)...he just brought Monsters Inc to me again, wanting to watch it (it's the rule that adults take movies out of the cases, after a couple discs were damaged).

And I made Robert giggle madly by my explanation. I said that this game is a really big deal to the players and they are very nervous, so at halftime they go take a nap for an hour. :rotfl:

Eamon didn't believe me, and Robert giggled...and now we're watching Jonas instead of The Who. Love this show!

I love your explanation. And frankly I would be ready for a nap after playing a half of a football game.

I keep getting emails from DinoWorld. I enjoy that. :goodvibes

I figure I should talk about the MK! It's weird, but I'm the least excited and most weirded out by thoughts of entering that park.

I know the castle is going to freak me out. And I'm going to miss miss miss the Matterhorn! From looking at pictures, I'm probably going to have false starts and startles all day, when something isn't where my Disneyland brain thinks it should be, and when something unexpected suddenly appears. It's going to be interesting!

And of course I *believe* everything will be all in an uproar during our stay, because I think they'll be doing huge renovations at the time. Let me check on that...

OK I just want to say...Little Mermaid was out when my brother, who is now 38, was in high school. Why are they just now putting LM rides into parks? Was it even that good of a movie? I haven't really enjoyed it, I know that...

Anyway, sorry for that heresy. First football, now Ariel...what will I disparage next?

OK so I'm only seeing that "by 2013" things will be done. But when does it start? If anyone knows, tell me. :)

So MK consists of:

Adventureland Main Street USA
Fantasyland Mickey's Toontown Fair
Frontierland Tomorrowland
Liberty Square

Excellent. Sounds familiar. :) Except for the Liberty bit and the utter lack of NOS. But I can handle that. Even though NOS is my fave part of DL. But whatever, it's OK. And of course ToonTown might not exist by the time of our trip. That's OK too.

Tomorrowland:

Astro Orbiter
Stitch's Great Escape!
Buzz Lightyear's - Spin
Tomorrowland Speedway
Carousel of Progress
Tomorrowland Transit Authority
Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor
Space Mountain

Frontierland:

Big Thunder Mountain
Tom Sawyer Island
Country Bear Jamboree
Splash Mountain

Adventureland:

Enchanted Tiki Room
Swiss Family Treehouse
Jungle Cruise
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
Pirates of the Caribbean

Fantasyland:

Ariel's Grotto
Peter Pan's Flight
Cinderella's Golden Carousel
Snow Whites Scary Adventures
Dumbo the Flying Elephant
Winnie the Pooh
It's a Small World
Pooh's Playful Spot
Mad Tea Party
Mickeys PhilharMagic

Liberty Square:

Hall of Presidents
Liberty Square Riverboat
The Haunted Mansion

Just in case it still exists in December, Mickey's ToonTown Fair:

The Barnstormer
Pixie Hollow
Donald's Boat
Toontown Hall of Fame
Mickey's Country House
Minnie's Country House

Parades/Fireworks...I'm sure we'll try to see them. Though maybe not the "move it shake it" thing wdwinfo mentions...

Might leave the Hall of Presidents for a later trip.

Excited about the Swiss Family Treehouse, because the Tarzan thing doesn't do much for me at DL. Actually the Tarzan overlay makes me nervous and sad, to think of baby Tarzan missing his parents and having a crib in the trees and all of that... At least with the SWR the whole family was there!

More later.
