Oh no! Pocono 500 postponed? My family is up here at the lake and that's what my DSIL was going to watch down in their trailer because there's nothing else to do.. Oh boy - bet he's got his "cranky pants" on - LOL.. He can't stand being idle..
I admit I really loved all the rain we had here in the northeast. Temperatures overall have been cooler; lower air conditioning bills; all the vegetation is lush and green. And I enjoy watching a good storm roll on in and pour down (but nothing too violent, of course!).
In a more typical August, usually the lawn is brown by now, some leaves on trees have already turned brown and started dying, there are threats of water restrictions coming, and every day is hazy hot and humid with highs in the 90's.
But not this time for once. I love this rainy summer - I really do!
