Best Song..... You have to be kidding..... :rotfl2:

PS: I did not think it was a bad song, fit the movie well, just could not believe there wasn't anything better.

I thought the song and the movie were pure genius. Especially for being thought up by a young actor who just wanted today's kids to know about the muppets that he loved as a kid. I also thought it was ridiculous that the Oscars barely played any of the song during the show. They didn't give either song in the category much respect, but hey, they got the golden statue, so :woohoo:

I thought it was a great song - was a pivotal point in the plot - and when "Sheldon" showed up it was hilarious (perfect casting). Also there was only 1 competitor - from Rio. That's what surprised me - 2 songs??
And why no performances of them this year?

There were only two nominees, and the other nominee was a song from that not-so-good Rio movie that gave me a headache.

I was just happy to see one half of the Flight of the Concords win an Oscar.

There wasn't a whole lotta competition this year. It's not like it was up against Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Mermaid, or any other number of Disney musical classics. Or non-Disney musical classics for that matter.

That song was one of the highlights of the movie! I was a little surprised as well, but it must have struck a chord with the academy as it did with me and MY kids:)

My GD (7) was over for the weekend. We were watching the Disney Cannel all day Saturday and that song played with almost every commercial break. It is a catchy tune.
I really thought Seldon was the perfect touch.

The song is lame for sure but with no other competition there was little choice. Thanks to Pixar putting out the crap of Cars 2 and disney rehashing Pooh. Although I really like the song from Zoey Deschanel for Winnie the Pooh.

i think its a great song there were lots of great songs in the muppets movie - man or muppet does remind me of flight of the conchords Lifes a happy song is my fav though
