And the Doorway to Dreams winner is...

Too funny! When they called our name, I got up and looked at my wife, who was sitting behind me screaming, so we could go up and get it. She was in such shock that she was still sitting there not moving. So, I interpretted this to mean she just wanted me to go up and get it, so I headed up. Well, evidently, once she saw me heading up, she flew up from the table and sprinted for the front, jumping over streamers and feet like OJ running through an airport. People must have thought she was "saved", since she hobbled in with a cane and was so excited that she left her cane at the table as she ran for the front of the room.

It's a MIRACLE !!! :teeth:

It's just so nice to see lots of winners here on the DIS. :goodvibes

How cool that so many DISers have won! I sure wish they'd build a Doorway to Dreams in my area!

You know, it's really the magic of Disney that makes a bunch of people (our family) excited to the point of tears to win this trip even though we've been so many times before and just got off a Disney Cruise in June. We were so exhilarated on the way home from the Doorway to Dreams event...as if we'd never gone to WDW before. I was just so overwhelmed by the good fortune and generosity bestowed on us, not to mention the genuine congratulations we got from the nice people attending the same event. I must have hugged Mickey Mouse ten times.

For us, no matter how many times we go to WDW, my heart always skips to see the the signs on I-4 saying "Disney World" and skips double-time when I glimpse the Cinderella castle for the first time, and I can't help but nearly run to get to the entrance gates. My husband is the same way. For however long we are there, we are able to leave all the worries behind and enjoy playing with the kids and being kids ourselves.

It's a gray day in Chicagoland, but we are all sunshine!

Congratulations to all the Winners...big and small:cheer2:  :woohoo:

Today would have been my late father's birthday, so it is extra special to have this happen today.

I couldn't help but get teary eyed when I read this. Think of it as your dear angel Dad looking out for you! Congratulations!!!
