Who else is baking now? What are you baking? Are you storing for upcoming events or to be consumed right away? Inquring minds want to know.

Well okay mostly I'm just tired because it is a baking weekend at the crazy house and taking a break. So far I have baked pumpkin cream cheese muffins, apple strusel muffins, oatmeal cranberry white chocolate chip cookies, working on some banana chocolate chip muffins, have batter made for ham and cheese corn muffins and I'm not sure what other kinds I can churn out by the end of tomorrow.

My husband and I both have breakfast things this week and we have guests coming and I'm hoping to have some left for a brunch at the end of the month.

Anyone else kicking off the baking season this weekend? Tell me all about your misery;)

I can smell them now.....dark chocolate brownies with chocolate chips. After those are done I'm going to bake some muffins for the kids to have for snacks this week!

I'm not baking for anything specific, just because.

Oooooooooo.... ham & cheese corn muffins? Those sound goooooooooooood.

agnes!
PS - I do think they need to be taste-tested... by a DISer... who's close-by... and who thinks they sound YUMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmm. Y.

I'll be making blueberry muffins later on.

I try to have something homemade around to snack on... and DH is off Monday so muffins it is!

I haven't made the ham and cheese corn muffins yet so no promise that they will be good but you are more than welcome to come taste test. It is going to be a good week to have the homemade comfort goodies with the chilly fall weather coming in.

I baked 21 cupcakes to take to school tomorrow to celebrate the Teacher's birthday! Cake from a box, homemade icing. Might bake banana bread/muffins/or cake tomorrow, have some bananas in the freezer and it sounds good!

Happy Baking!

LOL tomorrow is a holiday and if you swing by tomorrow you get a paint brush with that muffin as tomorrow is paint the kitchen day before the guests get here and see my many different color walls because I couldn't decide on a paint color day.:rotfl::rotfl:

DH came home today after being away with the kids for the weekend apple picking. I will be starting to bake apple pies tomorrow.

The kids are off of school tomorrow so they will help with the baking. They love it, but it takes me double the time and double the clean up when they are in the kitchen. The smell coming from the oven will be totally worth it!

Well, my Mom lives with us and we both got the baking bug. She made blueberry bread and muffins for the boys. Today, we did sugar and peanut butter cookies!!
House smells heavenly! I'm a cooking fiend this weekend too. Lasagne yesterday and roasted chicken tonight. (Trust me....out of character.:lmao:)

My 15 year old dd and i just got done making homemade peach pie,it smells so good in my house. Now she is going to a girl scout meeting to make lasagna for her cooking badge.

Well, I am baking, but none of it will ever be eaten by anyone! I am baking all the pieces for my entry into the National Gingerbread Competition at the Grove Park Inn here in Asheville.

I have been working on it for 6 weeks now, all the small sugar details and the baking has just begun. I hope to begin assembly next weekend.

We made the Pioneer Woman's Molten Chocolate Cakes last night, omg, so good!
The fall weather has me in a cooking mood. I made honey wheat bread the other day too!
I was just checking out a crock pot recipe thread and salivating, so looks like I better get cooking!

i was also hit by the baking bug, it's certainly not something i usually do!

i randomly made a cake the other night - box cake, can frosting, BUT i threw in a package of dry pudding mix into the cake batter...it made the cake unbelievably moist!! i'm very pleased.

Oooh, I've seen this (other years) on TV - best of luck!!!!

Moving on Weds. hoping to do some baking next weekend. I have a bag of apples just itching to jump into a pie pan :)

Yesterday I made apple turnovers and today I made a pumpkin pie, seeing as it is Thanksgiving weekend in Canada.

No turkey though, as there are only three of here at the moment, but I am making a lovely pork loin roast with Balsamic Baked Onions and Potatoes. My house smells amazing!

Hoping to get some baking done tomorrow - for a charity benefit that's being held at least once a week for a local family in dire need.. A family with two children suffering from terminal illnesses..:sad1:

Every penny helps.. We've done bake sales; auctions; raffles; etc., but the bake sales really seem to draw in the money the easiest..

I'll be doing many varieties of muffins; breads; and donuts; - then brownies and chocolate cupcakes with vanilla frosting..

I can use the added heat from the oven these days.. Starting to get pretty nippy here at the lake..
