what a wonderful world!
And what a wonderful past week our family has had! We've reunited with my estranged brother and his family a few years ago, whom I had missed terribly. Easter was spent at my niece's house with her husband and their 3 kids whom I adore in addition to my DB, DSIL and DN(ephew). Her 2 year old son is just the most precious child (besides my own, of course) and I could just eat up her 5 month old beautiful baby girl. We had a great Easter eating, enjoying each other's company, doting on the kids, playing baseball and just having a great time.
We returned to the catholic church several months ago after (finally) switching parishes and sd feel really comfortable and fortunate to have found our new church "home". Both DH and I have a renewed sense of our religion and I must admit is in at least some part attributed to seeing The Passion of the Christ. We've gone to church this entire lenten season and went all of these past especially holy days and enjoyed every minute of it.
My DD turned 16 today and we did a lot of special little things to make it memorable for her. We took her and her DBF out to dinner tonight and had such a wonderful time.
I've just been having so many of what I call "God Bless America" moments and realize how fortunate I am.
For those having family problems, go the extra step and extend that olive branch. It may truly make a difference.
Hope everyone had a blessed Easter and thanks for reading this sappy post.
