Absolutely laughing about the Kohl's Cash!! I was thinking the same thing about mine!! Find a Florida Kohl's!!

We are also driving!

And we have another person coming with us! Very last minute but DS18 will be cruising too!! He's cruised several times and is really looking forward to going and meeting some people his own age. Please, don't anyone worry about him with regard to the FE! He'll be in another cabin anyway.

Practically counting the minutes until we can tell the kids Christmas morning! Then it will be a packing frenzy around here!

Yes, they do have Kohls in Florida. Just in case anyone was wondering. I hope we make it to Florida, I just found out that we might get a noreaster on X-mas eve. I've lived in this area for over 20 years and it's never snowed on X-mas and it picks this year to snow! I was going to leave early on the 26th, but now I don't know. Send me some anti-snow pixie dust!

May the pixie dust be with you. I am sure all will be fine. The other option - leave the 23rd and be in WDW for Christmas.

I am going into work later this morning (9:00) to get a few things done around here. Of course I had to check the disboard incase anything new has happened.

Well the cats out of the bag. At least the part about us going to Florida. I was telling my son this morning that he needed a haircut and that maybe we should go get that done today after school, he looked at me and said "I think I should get it cut the day after, the day after Christmas." I looked at him and asked why then and he quickly changed the subject. He likes to get his hair cut at the barber shop in the MK so I knew what he was thinking, but I didn't think he knew we were leaving on the 26th. So when I told my husband later that I think Jake knows, my hubby told me well duh, last night you were going on and on about having to see if there's a Kohls in Florida so you can use your Kohls cash that is only good the 26th through the 1st. I didn't even realize what I was doing until my husband told me this morning, I can't believe I did that! Well at least I wasn't talking about having to use it before we get on the cruise. I couldn't wait 5 more days to say something stupid!

Some times kids are smarter than we think. If you ask them to do something, you have to tell them multiple times. But if they hear something you don't want them to hear, they pick up on it immediately. If you "google" kohl's location and put in Orlando fl, there are 6 locations. I know about the Kohl's in Sanford FL just off the 417. It's 30-45 min. from the airport so other stores might be closer to the airport or WDW. If your son has an idea about WDW, I think you will surprise him with the DCL cruise. Just don't talk about excersions in front of him! Alex

Just seems like yesterday it was 200+ days til our vacation and now it is upon us. Next Tuesday at about this time we should be landing at MCO.

My FE is done, my gifts (Christmas and FE) are bought and should be wrapped hopefully tonight. Packing has been started and now I need to get busy on the magnets!!!

DD has a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning to get some medicine for some allergy problems that she cannot shake. I do not want her to be miserable in any way while we are gone.

I have worried about the weather, but hopefully according to Accuweather.com, we will have decent weather here in TX when we leave for the airport and pretty good in FL. A little chilly, but hopefully no rain!!

Hope all have a good rest of today and happy dreams til we are all on our way!!

Would you mind updating us in the 2nd thread for the FE please? We will now be in Cabin #6006. Once we found out DS18 was put in a deluxe oceanview, we decided to bump him down to our original inside #2603.

Those of you with the older kids/young adults....is there a group for 18yr olds? I thought I remembered seeing something about a singles meet for that age group? He is worried about bothering us by tagging along with my husband and me. He won't of course!

We had a dry run last night after the kids were asleep. We put all our suitcases, etc. in the van and rearranged until we were sure everything would fit. I'm sure we looked odd throwing around empty suitcases at midnight!

We leave in exactly 141 hours for our long drive!!
Can't wait!!

Kathy - Next Tuesday at this time we will be arriving at MCO as well. We get in about 4:25pm. Then it is the drive over to the port. (CIS) DH is getting directions now. OMG.. a week away and I haven't even started Packing!!!!!!!!

There is a college age group that meets. My daughter tried it last year, and met one girl that she spent some time doing things together.

Okay, I am now stressed, one day of work, and 37 hrs. and 19 minutes before my flight leaves. I only have one dress that fits. I lost enough weight that my pants fall off. Guess this means shopping in Florida.

OK, this is a quick update. We have a couple of possible upgrades at the port, but other than that I think I have everything down.

We are to deliver Kiki's kids to her room and she will take care of the distribution. I think that will be the easiest there and Kiki said she does not mind.


OK, for those of you staying at CIS, was there going to be a gathering of the minds there, if so what time and where? We will only be 2.5 miles down the road and would love to come join y'all for a while. Let me know!!!

Kathy, We are staying at CIS, but will be spending the day at KSC, not sure when we will be back, but assume that we would be around after 4pm.

We're stayng at CIS. I think we'll try to visit DTD that afternoon. Because we are still driving in that morning, I don't know how long we'll be at DTD. Not sure what time we'll get back to CIS that evening. I can't imagine it will be too late because the kids will be worn out.

We will definitely be at the meet in the lounge at 3pm!

It is great to have a brother that is happy to live at the house while we are gone. Fingers crossed that traffic is not too heavy tomorrow morning. I will be relaxed when we get through customs and waiting for the plane.
