We're getting there...DH has gone online and bought six-count 'em-six Disney ties! He is going to look great!

We went to Downtown Disney CA yesterday to check out the World of Disney store. Had a great time, did some cardio walking from the parking to the store and back. I almost don't want to say, but the temp yesterday was mid
80s In December! Unbelievable, even for Southern California!

Last night I finished laying out all my dresses and evening wear - shoes, jewelry etc. DH wants to coordinate as much as possible. For those who don't know, DH and are stying on the WOnder and hitching a ride back to Cali via the Panama Canal 15 day...so I have a lot more clothes to pack...Intimidating, but we are fun to watch.

DH is really starting to get into the spirit. He talks about the cruise nonstop now. And is being as particular with his outfits as I am!!

So I solved the problem... and bought light-up DCL Mickey ears!!!

I am also going to make autograph books for the kids and have them bound to include in the box with the hats b/c I do not think we have time to get them before the first character signing and the ship store opening up.

Here in Texas we never know what December is going to bring us. Some years we have the 70's and 80's, but this year we are having 40's and then 70's and then back to 50's we just wait and see. I have been watching Florida temps and they are pretty much matching us exactly. I have a temperature marker on my sidebar for Cape Canaveral and the last few days it has been exactly like my little town here in East Texas. Right now we are at 36 and they are at 37. Hopefully they will have a heat wave for the New Year!!!

In Tucson, we must be following what Connie is in California. We were 85 yesterday Mornings are 40's and then we warm up quickly. They are talking about a cool down this weekend, but that could just mean in the 60's. La Nina is sure doing funny things this year as the North seems to be getting all the moisture.

I am ready for Layers in Florida, but when we are in the Caribbean, hoping for 80's during the week.

Last of our FE gifts are order, I called to make sure they would be arriving before xmas. Now we just need to figure out clothes. DH's Dad just went into the Hospital and not looking good. DH just doesn't have the heart to get his suit jacket or clothes together now.

Are any of you planning to take heavy coats with you? If FL is as cold then as it now, it might be necessary. But, we'd like to save the space (and weight) for clothes...

We are bringing our light weight winter coats. Hoping for warm on the cruise! We are not going to be hanging out in FL before or after, so we are skipping the big coats and then FREEZING when we get home!

DH called DCL this morning with a few questions. He found out that the gingerbread houses will not be available when we sail. They will stop offering those at Christmas. Also he found out the following movies will be showing....

DH was actually logging on to post this himself, but DW beat him to it.

DH called DCL this morning with a few questions. He found out that the gingerbread houses will not be available when we sail. They will stop offering those at Christmas. Also he found out the following movies will be showing....

Thats a bummer that they won't have the houses. I wonder if we all call and request the houses if they would have them. I was looking forward to my cabin smelling like gingerbread. Thanks for the movie info, I wish my son liked 3d movies, he hates them and won't watch them at all. We are driving so we can bring all the jackets we want. Which hopefully means that we'll bring 6 of them and not need any!

We will probably wear a light jacket or coat of sorts when we fly out of DFW. Hope we don't need more than that. We are at 14 days until we leave for FL, 16 til the cruise. Won't be long til we are in single digit countdown!!

I went ahead and ordered an outfit to wear on Pirate night since DD had one that she could wear. I will be getting DH and DM pirate hats so that they will at least have something for that night.

Got my FE finished last night. . . so proud it came out so close to what was in my mind. DH is going to fix the ends for my rod in the next few days so all I have left on it is to get the ribbons to hang it by. Guess I better take a few days to work on my families Christmas presents and see who I still have to get for. Mom and I got all the food for our dinner last week, so that is one less thing off my list. DD and I are going shopping in Dallas Saturday to hopefully get Christmas and the cruise totally complete as far as shopping goes. (we hope )

Planning on just taking a polar fleece jacket and then layering. Hoping that Florida will not be that cold when we are there. Since we are coming from the Desert will not need it except for a day or 2 in Florida.

I just realized why I never thought 3D movies were that special. I have mono vision with my contacts for reading and the eye doctor told me in my last visit that it makes it difficult for me to see 3D images. Well DD and DH will be happy with the movie list. We haven't had a chance to see Tangled.

Is anyone else starting to feel a bit overwhelmed? This is the first time we have traveled during the school year, let alone holidays, and I'm starting to feel the stress!

I am a teacher, and generally we vacation in the summer when I have plenty of time to prepare and pack etc. plus recovery time when we get back!

With this trip, I'm really starting to feel the pressure! Still lots left to be done at school before Christmas break starts, not done with my shopping or plans for Christmas dinner, worrying about keeping everyone healthy, worried about snow keeping us from getting to Orlando...

Haven't even started packing....

Uggg.....I may be a basket case by the time NYE arrives!
