Is anyone planning on doing the CC 5K? I've been running for a few months and think I want to do it, it might not be too hot to run in Dec.

I am thinking of doing it! It was too windy for us to dock early enough to have the run in March...

My wife and I are going (sans children) Already booked. The parks are too crowded for NYE Also watching bowl games on Ariel Vision is awesome!

Had not thought about the Bowl Games! Woo Hoo! We can watch some good college football while the kidos play!

Hi everyone! we just booked today! We took the gty 12 and found cheap airfare from Montreal, so we are in!!! We had 5520 in March and loved the SPH, but for the price we are just happy to be on the ship.

We sailed on the Wonder last March and got hooked!

I am in for the FE and will let you all know my room when we know.

Me (Katie), DH (Ted), DS (7), and DD (3)

So much to do! Anyone happen to know when Formal night and Pirate night are? I want to book Palo, but brunch is gone... can I possibly book the brunch on the ship?

Kids just got their room assigned. They are Rm. 2136. Got upgraded from the category 12 to category 9. Still need to ask DD(21) if she wants to be part of the FE. I should probably think this through. I will some how be influenced in a way .... "oh mom, I have exams until Dec. 21, just had no time to make anything ... can you do it for me?"

For right now I am putting all ya'lls info on your line. If the kids do not join us on the FE I will move them to their own line. . . . hope that makes sense.

We got DD a pirate costume for this weekend (the camp she works at in the summer has a fall campout and they are doing a pirate game!!) and she plans on wearing it on the cruise also. Plus she found 2 adorable formal dresses at JC Penneys last week that she got for the semi and formal night!!

I totally agree. We'll be the 2 women dancing in the bars with phones hanging around our necks!

Hopefully you will be able to feel the vibration of the phones with the kids call. I was trying to figure how to carry the phone, because the only thing I have on the cruise is my lanyard. BTW... if you notice in the navigators that I posted there are some meets for parents traveling alone. I wasn't sure if that was for Singles or was for just people traveling alone that wanted adult company.

I did the Princess 1/2 last March. Are you going to do the CC 5K? I am thinking about it. I was actually kicking myself for not realizing the DS still was off for the Disney Marathon weekend... I might have pushed myself to run the 1/2. Although, the snow and sleet from last year scared me a bit. I am a fair weather runner!

I was born in Columbus, but grew up in Xenia, also not far from Dayton!

I am doing the CC 5K - there will be a few of us. 7 weeks to the race. I like the cool weather for running, but not big on cold rain. Not sure about the snow - I have never tried it. Just a novice at running. Not sure if I can call it running. I am at the point, I run the first K, and then walk a minute, run the next .5 and walk a bit, and do this off and on until the last K that I run the full K, unless the dog meets someone or just must stop for a sniff.

Generally, we end up in Centerville when we go to Dayton.

So, last march DS was Peter Pan and DD was Tinkerbell for Pirate Night. Both kids outgrew the costumes and neither one is really into pirates... I saw a Captain Hook costume I am going to order for DS as he loves Peter Pan and I was thinking Wendy for DD, but her love right now is princesses. Do you all think if she wore an Ariel costume that would work too?

Katie - In my opinion, almost everything goes on pirate night and especially for kids. If she is comfortable in her Ariel costume then go for it. This year DD has grown out of princesses, but I bet she will take one on the cruise.

Just so you know.. If you do everything online and print out the signature page to bring with you, you don't need the cruise documents. The luggage tags are handy if you are having them transported from the airport.

It is exciting to get the documents, but wanted to make sure you knew you didn't have to have them if you do the online documentation.

We are scheduled to land at 10:30 and the DCL person said it was all good...

How important is the flight info?

You can call and they will put it in as well. When we booked we had our airfare and the CM just entered it all in. We booked and printed it for the cruise in March and it made things very easy. This time we are hoping the same thing since we are landing the morning of the cruise.

If you have travel insurance on the cruise and your flight is late/cancelled I would assume it is very important. Or if you are going to do the on board flight check-in for going home.

I will try to video it! Things get a bit hectic on Christmas morning, so no guarantees, but it would be a great memory!

I surprised the kids with a trip in June at their story time before bed with a book I wrote... now I am working through ideas of what they can open and both understand that we are going on the cruise. So much easier for the 7 year old than the 3 year old!
