...and a happy New Year! 12/30/2010

This sounds like something my kids would really like to do. Have you done this before, and if so, do you have any idea how much the "nominal fee" is? Nominal is a very relative term.:)

Not sure how much... but most of the nominal fee items, such as Wine & Tequila tasting are around $15/person.

FYI... Not sure if you all saw this post on the main board... But since the Wonder currently does not have Quest, which was geared for the Tweens and with short cruises they haven't really had much for Tweens... They now are planning something when they move to longer cruises.. Sounds like it will be perfect for some of you....

I do have some good news to share with you. A new Youth Activities area*
called Edge will premier onboard the Disney Wonder in December, 2010.*
The age group for Edge is 'Tweens' 11-13 years old.*

If you have a child who is not quite old enough to participate or just*
past the age cut-off and traveling with other 'tweens' and you would*
like the child to participate in Edge, we recommend that the Guest and*
child meet with the Youth Activities Manager once onboard to find a*
solution that will meet the child's needs.

During available hours (yet to be determined), children who are 11 - 13*
years of age are able to go in and out of Edge as much as they want. The
children do not have to 'check-in' or 'check-out' with the counselors*
that will be supervising at all times.*

If you prefer that your child be in secured programming, please feel*
free to discuss this with a counselor once onboard.*

The children do not have to be registered with Youth Activities to*
participate in the Edge activities; however, the counselors will check*
to make sure they are the correct age for the location.

Please contact us back in December for more details on this area.

I hope this information has been helpful. If you require further*
assistance in planning your visit, please feel free to contact us.

We look forward to sailing with you again

BTW... when our home computer when belly up, I did loose the original graphic for our cruise (see my signature and the larger one is still on my photobucket). I worked on a new one that is very similar that I will post tonight and let you decide between the 2.

Ok.. I updated the graphic... You can just click on the image and save to your computer.

If you want a small one for your signature, you can just click the one in my signature to save image as... on your computer. To post in your signature, you will need to put it on an online sharing account like Photobucket or photoshare and then post the IMG code in your signature.

Thanks for getting the picture for us!
Is anyone planning on doing the CC 5K? I've been running for a few months and think I want to do it, it might not be too hot to run in Dec.

That graphic is fabulous, Laura! I'm going to print it off and hang it on our fridge. Hey, maybe I'll make a door magnet out of it too, if that is okay with you? :)

DH might be doing it... He is thinking about running. I am not a runner, I just came back from an early morning 6 mile walk.

Yup.. It is for everyone to use! Feel free to copy and make magnets or anything else with.

Just so everyone knows I did find the picture on Millipie's sight on the Creative DISigns board and then I just edited to put in the words. If you want some specific magnets, most people will create designs for you based on your request.

If any of you are Pixar fans they have the Pixar short films on Disney Channel today from 3 - 4:45. I watched the first showing of it last night and it was so funny. There are 20 different shorts all wraped up into one show.

Ah... darn I missed it. Well if it is the same one they release a couple of years ago, we have it on DVD. It is really cute bunch of shorts. I love the one with the Snowglobe and the snowman.

I just booked Country Inn and Suites on priceline for the 29th for $77.

It is a good deal, especially if you are parking at the port.

Marcy, we are probably going to spend the 29th at the port and do some things around the port. We don't plan on parking, because we will have a rental car, but is there something you have to look for when trying to get this location on priceline.

On priceline you search cape canaveral and select zone 1 (cape canaveral) then select 2 1/2 star. Don't select Cocoa Beach - Merritt Island and don't go lower then 2 1/2 stars. Depending on what you bid it may take a couple of tries. You can only try once a day.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi everyone....We are booked on this cruise...We were originally booked on the 12/29 cruise and decided to move over to the 7 night after the price drop and the change from a 10 to a 5 night. It will be myself, DH, and 3 DD's 14, 12, and 5 months old. Also with us will be Grandpa and Great Grandma. We live outside of Chicago in the SW Burbs.

We are spending Christmas at Animal Kingdom-Kidani 12/21-12/29 and the 29th out at the port. We are also staying at Country Inn and Suites. We got it for $70 plus taxes and fees on priceline.

This is my 10th cruise with Disney, my husbands 9th, and the 2 older girls 7th cruise. We are looking forward to a great time!!!

:welcome: Tinkerbelle77 Glad to see you over here.. Sounds like you are going to have a great vacation and will use the cruise to relax.

:welcome: Tina and family.

Great to have you join us. :dance3:

To all that have not responded to us about the FE exchange, please let me know so I can add that info to the list. I am fairly sure I have everyone listed correctly, but please let me know if I need to change anything. :surfweb:

We would love to join in your FE! Is it too late?

No, it is not too late. We have not set a definite cutoff date, but I am sure it will not be until a month or a little more before the actual cruise date so that we all have time to prepare.

Thanks for joining us!! :thumbsup2

I am scratching my head and just don't understand... Was looking at the Dec 29 Magic 5 night double dip cruise (Bahama) and the cost for a Cat 12 is more than $650 more than what we booked on this cruise. Amazing.

We said the same thing....We were booked in 11's with the 10% On board rebooking discount and were still over the cost of this 7 night....It made sense to change and get more days on board and head further south!!! So glad we switched....Kids are missing a few days of school, but its right after Christmas break!
