Girl, bite your tongue. I certainly hope they don't cancel or do any changes on this cruise. I just worry about weather at that time of year and getting to Florida, but can't afford to worry about things like that which are totally out of our control!



Welcome to you also. It does seem like forever til we sail, but I felt like that about our May cruise last year and it is already one year later. It is amazing how time flies.

We are driving down from Canada and I hate driving in snow - so lets hope than any of us coming from Canada and the Northern US states have a mild start to winter!

Are you doing any parks before the cruise?

Not planning on doing the parks before this cruise... We did that before our cruise October and spent a fortune doing parks for 3 days. It really pays to do more days in WDW to reduce the cost of multi use tickets. Looking at what we do after getting off the ship. It is my birthday and really don't want to spend my birthday flying across country, so we might just get a room and hang out at DTD and then fly home the next day.

We are flying from the West, so we are just hoping for no plane delays. Unfortunately from our town there is no direct flights. Trying to figure out if we come in 2 days early and stay at the port and see KSC or fly in 1 day early and just stay at the airport.

We still don't have our airline tickets and prices just keep going up. Waiting for Southwest prices to come out 6/15 and hoping prices will go down for cross country flights.

Hi everyone! My name is Amy, and my kids and I are going to be on this sailing. We booked Monday and are so excited. This is our first cruise. We love everything Disney. My DD will be turning 13 on Dec. 18, so this cruise is part of her birthday and Christmas present. My DS is 10.

I have a question about dress for dining. I believe on the typical seven night cruises there is one evening that is formal. I was curious if this would still be the case since we will be on the Wonder instead of the Magic.

So I'm in, even though I'm going to have to get a second job to pay for all my cruises! I love the sailing into a Wonderful New Year name. I wish I was more creative so I could be of more help! A manager at DCL told me they cancelled the other cruise, because it was not selling. I think the cost was so high... It was going to be our big holiday celebration, so we were willing to pay the high price and give up on some other things. We are now happy to be on this cruise and the opening of Cat 12 at a low price made it great.

State I reside in...Texas (Northeast to be exact. . . 50 miles east of Dallas)

Traveling with...My darling husband our 23 yo daughter (her 1st cruise) and my Mother. This will be the 2nd cruise for DH, DM and myself

Land and sea or sea only....This time will be sea only

Have you cruised before...As I mentioned before yes except for DD and it will be her 1st.

What will you celebrate...Well, of course NYE. My birthday is in late January so I guess it could be an early birthday for me.

Dressing up for pirate night. ..Didn't last cruise, but who knows what we will do this time. . . but I doubt it!!!

Dressing up for semi and or formal night. . . yes, we plan on it. Mom and I are having a blast looking for new outfits!!!!!!!

Favorite character...I love Eeyore, I have a soft spot for Tink and the princesses, but there is just something about Eeyore, DD loves Tigger and the princesses. Mom likes Donald Duck because on the last cruise he gave her a hug and kiss when he came up the stairs she was standing by. DH just likes Disney period.

Favorite Disney memory...On our 2004 trip we did the Backstage Magic tour and seeing how everything works behind the scenes was just so worth it!! We have special memories from each trip which is one of the reasons we joined DVC.

3 must do's...watch the sun rise, watch the sun set, enjoy watching my DD on her 1st cruise.

Time of dinner seating...late.

Just for laughs...

Coke, pepsi, or pina colada's... Ice tea and cranberry juice are my mainstays. The main soft drink I enjoy very rarely (and I mean rarely) is Pepsi.

Sun or shade...love them both, have to I'm from Texas and we have a lot of sun, but on vacation, bring on the sun, but I always hope for some nearby shade!!

Morning or night person...More of an afternoon or evening, but at home I do tend to stay up later than I should.

Last book read...Lavender Morning, by Jude Deveraux.

Taking a book on the cruise...yes, I read on the airplane and sometimes before I go to sleep.

Sun or shade...Coming from Arizona, where we have 360 days of Sunshine a year, so I have to like the Sun, but I always seek out Shade.

Morning or night person...Morning, I was up at 4:50am this morning. Tomorrow I will be up early again to do an early morning 9 mile walk in the Canyon. Have to beat the heat of the Desert.

Taking a book on the cruise... Oh yes... I don't travel without a book. Thinking about one of electronic books (ipad, Kindle or nook), but haven't got there yet.

We're not driving down, but flying in from Iowa. SW (my preferred airline) does not fly out of Des Moines, so we'd have to drive to Kansas City, which is what we usually do when going to DisneyWorld for summer vacations, but I'm worried about doing that in winter since the weather is so unpredictable. So, I'm trying to decide if I should pay for more expensive airfare out of DSM or risk it and try to drive to KC.

As it is, we'll be missing the first couple of days back after break. I have NEVER taken the kids out of school for a vacation before, and I'm suffering a bit of guilt about it now.

Have you cruised before.....Nope. First for all of us too. Been dreaming about it ever since we got bitten by the "Disney Bug" a few years ago after our first trip to The World!

What will you celebrate......NYE definitely, and an early "Sweet 16" for DD15 whose b-day is in Feb. We've been to WDW twice near my son's b-day, so this will be her turn to celebrate!

Dressing up for pirate night......Depends on if I can talk the kids into it. They were really not into yet last summer when I convinced them to wear matching shirts, so not sure how much they'll cooperate this time. ;-)

Taking a book on the cruise...I read A LOT at home over summer break. But on vacation, I usually prefer to take in the sights around me instead. When reading, I get sucked into the story too much, and if I'm on a cruise or the beach, I don't want to miss a thing!
