Anaheim temps

This may seem like a very "duh" question but I'm asking anyways ;)

When the high is, say, low 60s (early next week) what is comfortable apparel? I live in Vegas where a high of 60 means it could be high 20s in the morning and night, so I assume I would dress differently than a high of 60 in Anaheim where the lows are 40.

I was thinking a long sleeved light shirt or a light sweater would be appropriate and comfortable for the daytime hours, and then a sweatshirt for after the sun goes down. Will we be too warm wearing long sleeves during the day?

Factoring in humidity and such is what I'm not familiar with because it's so dry here in Vegas.

Again, probably a stupid question, but here I am...:hyper2:

Dress in layers. It will get COLD after the sun goes down. And the high will only be for a short period of time.

When we go in the winter. It is sweatshirts & long sleeve tees in the morning, shedding the sweatshirt at Lunch and then adding it back with a jacket in the evening.

I am also from Vegas so I had the same uncertainty when I went earlier this month. If the temps are similar to then, you might be too warm in long sleeves during the day. I wore a light sweater on the way there each day but dropped it off in a locker once I got there and there was only one day I regretted it because it was overcast. The mass of crowds makes things warmer.

But at night I layered up. I stayed until rope drop and those last couple of hours would get pretty cold, but not as cold as Vegas (although I am a cold-wimp so YMMV). At night when we were going to be stationary for a while I wore the light sweatshirt with a hoodie over it and sometimes fleece-lined leggings under my jeans.

I second the recommendation to wear layers. I generally think the low-60s are probably cool enough where many folks can comfortably wear a lightweight long-sleeve t-shirt during the day. However, I also wore a heavier hoodie type sweatshirt in the mornings and then again in the evenings. Depending on the lows, you might want to bring a jacket to also wear.

I wore a tank top with a light cardigan-type sweater over top and yoga pants for mid-60s during the day. A hoodie will probably be more than good enough, but I recommend a zip-up rather than a pullover so you can adjust your temperature by unzipping it rather than taking it right off.

I'm used to cooler temperatures though, I can go outside in the high 30s in a tee shirt because I'm from Canada and I'm used to it, but if you're from somewhere warmer you might feel it more. Layers are always the way to go.

I think what you have chosen is perfect. It's deceptive for me because I'm from Alberta so in order to have hot days, you usually have 12 hours of daylight (or more) with residual warmth after sunset but there it's WHOMP. You go into a ride in warmth and daylight and you come out in darkness and cooler/damp. We usually go back to the hotel around 4 and then back to the park after 6 having changed clothes.

Not a stupid question at all. I have always been in the Spring or Summer time and never needed to worry about cooler temperatures. I am planning a trip in December of 2016 and I was wondering the same thing you were.

I should also like to point out there are lockers. It is an added expense, but it is an option to carrying around a sweater all day.
