Anaheim Sheraton or Sheraton Park?

I'm wondering if anybody has experience with these two hotels. I can get the same price for either. We have stayed at the Anaheim Sheraton in the past and enjoyed the wonderful beds, designated shuttle, and the roomy rooms. I know the Sheraton Park used to be something else and went through a big remodel. Has anybody stayed there? Or better yet at both? Also, I'm assuming the Sheraton Park is too far to walk, so does that mean an ART shuttle?

Thanks for any help.

:mickeyjum We stayed at the Sheraton Park about a year ago and loved it. It used to be the Coast Hotel. I imagine that you'll have the same nice beds as the Anaheim Sheraton. We are Starwood Preferred Members and were able to get a room on one of the top floors which included access to the free continental breakfast and afternoon snack which was very nice. It is a bit of a walk to the park but we managed it every day. You can take the ART but I personally don't like it and would rather walk. This is probably the furthest I would walk to the park. It really isn't that bad though. The hotel is situated on the corner of Harbor and Katella. If you stay here, ask for a room with a park view if possible. Oh, and I do believe they charge for parking, I just can't remember how much. Have a fun trip!:mickeyjum

I have stayed at the Sheraton Park twice, but both times were before it was a Sheraton. The first time, it was the West Coast Anaheim and then the Coast Hotel. I know they have done a complete remodel but I absolutely loved the hotel before so I'm sure it could only be better. We never walked as the first time we had my grandparents with us, and the second time we had my grandparents and my DD who was 2 at the time. We used ART and it worked well for us. They do charge for parking, but I don't remember how much either. The pool area is great and I'm not sure if it's still there, but there used to be a little convenience store-like thing inside. The prices were a little higher than an average convenience store, but not too bad. I would also recommend a park view. It gives you a great view of the fireworks show. I hope some of this helped.

Thanks for the info. I'm leaning toward the Sheraton Anaheim because of the room size and shuttle. I guess the right room will just work out :).

I love the Sheraton Anaheim for the convenience, but the rooms there have been hit and miss. I've had closet doors, broken or missing twice, and once the A/C was blowing with the force of an arctic wind and I couldn't shut it off or turn it down. We didn't need a fridge that stay, could've left anything out on the dresser and it would have remained cold!

As a Starwood member I should be getting complimentary bottled water but that has only happened twice out of the half dozen times I've stayed there. Minor glitches, mostly the stays there are fine. Parking at the Sheraton Anaheim is $10 per car.

We stayed at the Sheraton Park this past December and we really liked it. They were really friendly and the room was a decent size. We had a Disney view and were able to watch the fireworks from our beds. We took the shuttle until the last morning when we decided we wanted to be there early so that we could do Nemo. The walk with a 4 and 7 year old took us 15 minutes. I would walk there next time then ART it back when your tooties are tired.

For those of you that have stayed at the Sheraton Park, how were the bathrooms? The one drawback of the Sheraton Anaheim are the tiny bathrooms with the sink inside, essentially making it impossible for me to get ready at the same time as hubby.

Good to know about the parking fees, though. Wow, $14.00 to park your car?!?

I believe they have the sink outside of the bathroom. I remember because we could get ready while others were still showering and what not.
