I have been confirmed for four nights at OKW for several months. I have been waitlisted for any of the "fab four" (AKL, BWV, BCV or VWL) for the last few months. The waitlist expired last Saturday.

Today I called to check if anything had opened up. The CM advised me immediately, and I do mean immediately after I asked him, that nothing was available. I thought to myself that he didn't even have a chance to look for availability! So when I hung up, I called right back and got a very nice CM checked, put me on hold and then came back and confirmed me for four nights at BWV!!!!!! Given that it is the F&W festival, I was amazed and happy! This is my home resort but didn't get reservations in time and I am really happy about it.

So I wanted to share so if you have this situation, don't give up hope on getting your resort of choice. The only thing that could have made me happier would have been to secure the AKV. But I am very very pleased!!!!:cool1:

Congratulations, Tammy! That must feel wonderful. Have a magical stay! :goodvibes

This is really disappointing. I have also heard people on these oards say that the MS CM has said, "Sorry, no availability- Don't even try for the waitlist." Really what is the proper way for members to respond to this resistence from customer service.

Thanks everyone for the congrats, I am really lucky I think. But, I thought the fact that I called right back and was able to secure the reservation was telling. The other CM didn't even look, in my opinion. Maybe he had had a call earlier for the same dates and there was nothing. Maybe someone cancelled in the time it took me to call back and it was just luck. I had read on these boards about CM's just saying nope, not available, without skipping a beat and how the person called right back and was successful, so I tried it. I hope someone else can secure their most desired reservation by following this advice, and, that was the main reason I posted this.

Of course, I had just gotten off the phone when I posted so I was a bit giddy and gushing over my good luck!

Thanks for the info. I'll remember this if they ever tell me no availability. It's worth a shot. All they can do is tell you no again.

In my take its simple... If you feel like you are getting the brush-off, kindly ask to speak with a team lead or supervisor. You don't necessarily need to explain why, but just do so in a calm, kind, professional manner.

You may or may not get the same results, but the way I see it, if I feel like I am getting blown off, I would like to double check with someone else and possibly give some feedback about how I was treated. It's fine and dandy to bring up bad MS stories here, but unless you bring it up to someone at DVC who can actually do anything about it, there is no way to help the situation from happening again.

Oh, on the flip side of the coin, if you get a MS CM who you think handled things in a wonderful manner or went out of their way to help you - take a moment and provide that feedback as well.
