With the return of nighttime entertainment and character interactions set to return to normal/beforetimes, I was curious if anyone had heard anything about the theater shows returning. Between Fantasyland Theatre, Royal Theatre and Hyperion, I'm hopeful something returns this year but I know there will be quite a bit of lead time to hire in, train, and rehearse.

They just refurbished Royal Theater, I imagine this could come back at any point, as soon as the princesses stop meeting guests there.
The only thing we've heard about Fantasyland Theater is that it will now be the Lion King show, and should be back this year. The post on the disney blogs originally said spring of this year, but I don't know if there has been any update after that.
Hyperion has not a peep. Best guess is that it will return, but probably with a new show. Also, they will have to find a new place for the Pym Kitchen overflow, or that would be awkward.

Fantasyland Theater from Disney Blogs:
“Tale of the Lion King”

This spring, the Fantasyland Theater at Disneyland park will become home to “Tale of the Lion King,” an imaginative adaptation of Disney’s “The Lion King.” A hit with guests when it debuted in 2019 at Disney California Adventure park, “Tale of the Lion King” is brought to life by the Storytellers of the Pride Lands, a troupe of traveling performers who present Simba’s beloved and timeless journey in a unique story-theater style with live music and dance.

Thanks for the info! Hopefully they will send out another update soon since spring is upon us.

I didn't realize the princess meet & greet was at Royal Theater. I wonder if they will be moving back to their normal spot with character interactions going back to 'normal'.

Since regular meet & greets returned, I've only seen one princess in the tower and one in the side greeting spot. Neither the theater nor the actual indoor greeting area were being used. Before, they would have two princesses at a time greet in the theater for most of the day so I think they just cut a lot of princess greetings.
