As many of you know, Tiger Fan (Lisa) has been fighting a very tough and virulent form of breast cancer, inflammatory breast cancer, for some time now (http://www.ibcresearch.org/). This is the same cancer that took our dear friend, Sylvia, back in '01.
And Lisa is certainly aware of this.
Lisa has been making good progress in her tough battle against the Beast, as she calls it, with a rather constant infusion of chemotherapy. But of late, Lisa has had several setbacks.
First, you may recall, she told us a few weeks ago that she now also has to deal with diabetes, in addition to the cancer.
You may also recall, she was going in for scans last Thursday, to see what the status of the cancer was. Well, those scans came back today and they were pretty lousy, to put it mildly.
Lisa has told me she has multiple new tumors. Her spine has new tumors, both in the thoracic and lumbar region. Other new tumors were found in the hips, pelvic, shoulder blade, calvarium (skull) and a big one in her femur. Quoting Lisa, she says, 'I feel almost like I did when I first found out about my cancer - just at a loss'.
Lisa has said she does not, understandably, really feel up to posting or chatting right now. Tomorrow, Lisa is back getting more CT and MRI scans.
But she did ask me if I would pass on the results and her update. And I would like to please ask you to continue to remember Lisa in your prayers, if you do so, and your good wishes. She can most assuredly use them all.

PS: Keep in mind Lisa is only 33 years old, another reminder for ALL of us to be aware of our own health maintenance. Please do the necessary checks and exams we all know we should be doing on a regular basis.
