An Unforgettable Finish- Oct 2011 TR **Happily Ever After (Completed 5/3)

I can't wait to hear their experiences. I love the character spot and my kids especially love it.

But I'm with Jeremy, I don't like waiting in many lines for characters. Which is why I like the character spot. Once you have waited in your line, it's all over and you don't feel the urge to look for any more characters.

Ohhhh we've got ourselves a cliff hanger! I am going to guess that Carter and Landon LOVED the characters! At least, I hope they did!

I really hoped they did, too! It's always so much nicer when little guys love the characters and aren't frightened.

Love the Ohana update:thumbsup2 Everyone looks so happy:) Ohana is my favorite dinner at Disney.

I bet the boys loved meeting Mickey. I can't wait to see the pictures.

I think Ohana is my favorite Disney dinner, too. We've only been twice, but both times were really happy.

I'm hoping to get the next update ready pretty soon here. :goodvibes

Oh, I can't wait to hear how the boys reacted!!

I had to hold my DS2 back from running up to Donald at his first character meet while the family before us was still there. When I finally let go he ran right into Donald's arms. It was priceless!

I was so eager to see their reactions, too! That line seemed to take forever.

That's so cute! It's always so much fun when they run to the characters like that.

I can't wait to hear how the boys reacted to the characters! They both seem so laid back, from the way you describe them on here, that I imagine they must have loved them! :lovestruc

I still wasn't sure whether or not the boys would actually enjoy the experience. They are mostly laid back, but Landon has a bad habit of saying he wants to do something and then refusing when we actually go to do it. This afternoon, he wanted to ride the carousel at the park and after asking about twenty times, I agreed and after I bought his ticket and went with him to pick out a horsie, he said no and refused to ride.:confused3 We had to sit in the chariot instead.

Oh my gosh, you are a saint for
waiting 20 minutes at the character spot! Big kudos for keeping the boys entertained and not swinging from the chains (like I'm sure Everett would have been).

I hope the reaction was well worth the wait, but I have a feeling it might be! ;)

The last time we were at Epcot, we noticed other people taking strollers into Character Spot! It was so much easier waiting in the line with the boys nicely contained in the stroller. I just assumed in October that strollers wouldn't be allowed, but it really makes it so much better.

It was definitely worth the wait!

Oh my goodness! That stroller problem sounds positively exasperating!

I wanna hear about the way your boys met the characters!!! Please?!?

The thing with the stroller was really annoying! Every few feet it seemed the wheel would mess up again.

Soon! I hope! I meant to get Part 2 up long before now, but things have been busy lately.

Im sorry about your stroller and i must say, as someone who has previously worked at the stroller rental at EPCOT, im so glad you got some help because back then i knew nothing about strollers( it changes when u have a kid and work at babies r us). 2o min is a nice wait for character spot, we waited 45 minutes in dec. my nephew had to meet donald. I hope the rest of your day continues to get better

I used to know nothing about strollers, too and then I had kids and had to learn.:rotfl: We were really lucky to have that guy help us, even if it didn't fix the problem entirely. 45 minutes in Character Spot would be really tough! Compared to that, twenty doesn't sound too bad at all.

I have read all of your past installments and subscribing now! Can't wait to see how the boys reacted to the character greeting :)

Hi! Welcome! I'll try to get up the next part of the character greeting soon. It was never meant to be this big of a cliff hanger! :rotfl:

I cant wait to hear how they reacted!! I hope it was positive :goodvibes

I was pretty hopeful that it would turn out good, but you just never know with little kids.

Looks like a lovely and FULL day hehe But it looks like you had an awesome meal at Ohana. The best way to end a great day is to have a nice dinner.

That did end up being a really good day! We did a lot, but it was all pretty fun and the dinner at Ohana was wonderful. Definitely the best ending possible to our day.

Hooray for Ohana, ice cream and leis! What a great evening you guys had and awesome photos memories! I especially love the ice cream-smeared boys with lopsided leis and ginormous grins.

Ooooh, a cliffhanger! I can't wait to learn about Carter and Landon Mickey meet! (I bet they came together like the best of friends!)

I love those pictures of the boys, too! They always get messy with ice cream, but that's okay. I think they're still at a cute-when-messy age. :goodvibes I love that we got leis, too. The boys loved those.

Hopefully, I can get this un-cliffhung pretty soon! :rotfl: I never thought it would be this long until I could manage Part 2.

I can't wait to hear more about the character experience.

Hopefully, it won't be too much longer! I finally have the pictures all ready to go.

Can't wait to see how those little darlings reactedpopcorn::

I loved watching their reactions and it'll be fun remembering it here. :goodvibes

Jeremy and I had never been to Character Spot before that trip. We always thought it was a place parents get suckered into going to while the real fun is to be had over at the thrill rides.

It is really nice to get to see that many characters at once, after waiting in only one line, although I'm not sure it worked out for us, not feeling the urge to go looking for more characters. If anything, it caused us to look for every character we could find...

Oh my gosh. This is the cutest update ever! I'm so glad they loved the characters so much. The thought of Landon in another family's photo is hilarious. It would have been so funny if they hadn't noticed, that would have been an interesting surprise in that picture! :lmao:

Oh, hello. I'm back. I just noticed your ticker.

ONE WEEK AND ONE DAY?! Have you had that ticker for long or am I seriously just noticing it?

Such a sweet update. I'm so glad the boys enjoy the experience. It really is touching to see that joy on their faces, even with someone else's child. Once you have experienced it with your own child you just get it. It truly is magical.:lovestruc:goodvibes

OMG! I just loved this update!!! I can really picture those precious boys of yours running up to characters with their cute little smiles. So sweet!:goodvibes That's great that they really loved the characters & weren't unsure about them. I know that's how Reid was even on his 1st trip & it is a relief when you realize they're not scared.

And yes, the look on your child's face definitely makes standing in those miserable lines worth it!

How adorable! I was thinking as I read along that my favorite pic was the one with Goofy, and then I got to the part where he ran back!! :lmao:

Isn't it just precious to see the little ones with the characters? I wouldn't take back any of the (many, many) hours we spent hunting down the characters for DD. The look on the kids' faces makes it all worth it! :goodvibes

yes that is hilarious that he ran into someone else's photo!

just wondering...are the photo pass pictures actually that small or did you resize them? I'm working on mine and just hoping they will come at a normal size...thanks!

Wow, that is incredible.:goodvibes I'm glad that Landon and Carter were both so excited to see the characters. That kind of experience totally makes waiting in line worthwhile. :thumbsup2

Now if the family Landon posed with just had someone who is a DISer and they could post that picture.... :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Talk about a great memory-making moment! I always smile when I happen to see young children having the time of their life with characters, and your update definitely brought a grin to my face. Carter and Landon look so excited to see all their friends, and I thought it was adorable that they shook hands with each character...very polite of them. :)

I'm guessing you and Jeremy will now have to suffer through long lines in the future for more meet and greets.

I knew they'd love the characters, but I never suspected how much...such a sweet update and great photos! Carter and Landon are just uber-adorable!

I just posted on another TR that I miss having wee tots to take to Disney, and your installment brought back a flood of fond character moment memories!

Yippee!!:thumbsup2 I am so glad the boys enjoyed it! It's true that you just never know how they are going to react until they are in the moment. You got some great pictures of their first meet!

I had a few updates to catch up on, but now I'm all set!

I know what you mean about the ABC Commissary. Back in the day, it used to be a really great place to eat and it was never crowded. It was like people didn't know that it existed and the food was great. We ate there on our last trip and like you said, it wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great either.

I love the meet and greets! I've said it before, but your boys are just so adorable. It definitely makes things easier when they have a good reaction to the characters. I think it just makes it so magical.

Your boys are still cutier than ever, "is that word, it does not look right?':rotfl: Those were some great pictures and they have wonderful smiles. SO cute!

What a sweet update! They boys were so cute meeting the characters! :lovestruc I love seeing little kids meet the characters, I can't wait to bring my own child someday (whenver that's going to be :rotfl:), I'll probably be crying the entire trip!
