An Unforgettable Finish- Oct 2011 TR **Happily Ever After (Completed 5/3)

Wow can't believe the boys were sleeping for so long! :cool1:

I love the Fountain of Nations! In fact...I think I'm going to find some Future World music loops on you tube to watch/listen to, I'm missing Epcot right now! :sad1:

Haha, Brandon doesn't mind the Beverly either! Strange!

We have never tried the Sum of all Thrills, we never go in Innoventions, it's just totally ignored! Probably because when I'm over there, I'm running to Soarin! It looks like it could be fun!

I noticed you have a new ticker, are you guys going back to Disney? :cool1:

All caught up.
Just got back Saturday from our three week Disney Christmas trip.
It was A W E S O M E!!!
I am sooooo sad to be back. Besides Disney we also took the kids to the new Legoland which my 8 year old loved. And many other attractions as ICE and Snow at the Gaylord Resort. We also spend two days at the Nick hotel, because my boys likes the Nickelodeon shows and characters.

And I got my Disney fix over and over again, everything was beautiful decorated, the Osborne lights were just amazing. We took the sleigh ride at Fort Wilderness, was also beautiful to see all the decorations at the campground.
This was for us the best vacation ever, and I really hope we can return back very soon.

The pic of the boys sleeping peacefully side-by-side is so cute! It is amazing how angelic kids can look while they are sleeping :littleangel:

My DH ran out of time while in Sum of All thrills also. Its funny because he also took lots of math in college, so I guess he got more technical about it, whereas I chose willy-nilly. I still lord it over him that my hastily designed coaster had a higher thrill ranking than his carefully planned out masterpiece. :rotfl2:

If I ever get around to trying the Sum of All Thrills, I'm going with your approach - willy nilly! I'm sure I couldn't figure out all the math behind it even if they gave me all day! :lmao:

How great that the boys were taking such a nice, long nap! :thumbsup2 We haven't done the Sum of All Thrills but I'm sure I wouldn't be able to put together a good coaster. How much time are you given to complete it?

I love it when they both sleep at the same time for a long time. I think Sum of All Thrills has a lot of potential to be fun. I don't think we had much time to put it together. Maybe five minutes? I just hope I remember how to do it the next time we try it.

Oh wow, how awesome that they slept for so long! Disney magic haha.

I'm glad you got Jeremy out of his bad mood. :thumbsup2

That Sum of All Thrills thing looks crazy... what in the world? Hahaha I haven't ever actually seen it in person so I always pictured it as one of those simulators you see at state fairs and what-not. That looks so much cooler!
Don't worry I think I would do the exact same thing and end up with a very lame ride hahah.

Long naps are my favorite kind of Disney magic! Something about the parks always seems to tire the boys.

I'm glad, too. It was too great of an afternoon to be ruined by a bad stroller wheel.

Sum of All Thrills does look really cool. It's kind of fun just watching other people go on it. Definitely better than state fair simulators. I do wish they had an option of a pre-designed ride, for those of us who don't want to use math or science on vacation.:rotfl:

I can only dream of my DD taking a nap that good in her stroller. I think she's maybe fallen asleep once since she's gotten big enough to ride in the stroller without the carrier.

Glad you were able to calm Jeremy down so you guys could enjoy your quiet time.

I've heard that some kids nap really well in strollers and others don't. I've always thought the worst would be to have one stroller napper and one room napper, so I was glad the boys agreed this time.

We really ended up having a very nice afternoon, although we did have to keep messing with the wheel about every five minutes.

Wow, those two boys were crashed! Glad you and Jeremy were able to get plenty of time to relax and enjoy Epcot by yourselves.
The design portion of Sum of all Thrills really is rushed. I understand that you need to be finished by the time the next group in the viewing room had completed the video, but I always feel pressured. I'm pretty sure if Alex wasn't with me to help create the coaster, I would've came up with something similar to yours.:rotfl:

Epcot is always one of my favorite parks to be in while the boys take long naps. There's so much to do just walking around and looking at things. I was looking forward to having two cheerful boys that night, too.
Watching the video seemed to drag, but designing the coaster went by really fast. I guess there's no way to help that. I do think it would have been easier to have two people working on it.

What a nice nap!

Glad you were able to cheer Jeremy up over the stroller troubles. :thumbsup2

Sum of All Thrills just looks too scary for me. I think I'd feel really trapped in those. :confused3 I don't think I'll ever try it, but I'm sure I'd come up with something like yours' if I did!

Loved the popcorn Vinylmation. Too cute!

I love it when they take nice long naps at the same time.

The stroller problem was really annoying, but we were still at Disney. No one can stay upset for too long there.

There is a panic button in Sum of All Thrills, I guess in case any one does feel too trapped. I thought it felt similar to Mission Space, as far as feeling claustrophobic. I don't mind either of them, though.

I never tried Beverly (or Club Cool at all) until our trip last month. I want to talk about it once I get that far in my TR, so I haven't really said much on the boards about my experience there, but I kind of agree with Jeremy. :confused3 The nastiness is overrated. :lmao::rotfl2:

The Sum of All Thrills is something else I've never done. Partly because I didn't know how long it would take and didn't want to make DW and DS wait, but I watched it for a while. Looks like a lot of fun. I'm sorry your ride design experience wasn't all that you wanted it to be.

I liked your comments about Duffy. DW absolutely hates him. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: She keeps saying that Winnie the Pooh is THE Disney Bear.

I don't know...maybe if you've heard the nastiness of Beverly talked up a lot, then it wouldn't live up to the hype, but I'm always happy to skip over Beverly altogether.

I was a little worried about how long it would take, too and it did seem to take a long time, but thanks to those supernaps, it wasn't any problem. I'm looking forward to trying it again in May, when we go without the boys.

I wonder why they didn't just pick Winnie the Pooh to be The Disney Bear...basically the same thing as Duffy, but not nearly as controversial.

Wow! Those boys have been napping for a while. I wonder how much longer it can last!

Glad to hear you enjoyed your time alone, even if your ride was a bit lame!

I kept wondering that, too, all afternoon! I was sure any second they'd be awake and ready to play.

Even a lame ride is better than none at all!

Joining in. Love your writing style, and your boys are just adorable! :goodvibes

YAY for long naps! :woohoo:

Welcome! Thank you! I think my boys are pretty adorable, too. :)

I love long naps, especially at Disney. Disney World always makes the boys tired.:rotfl:

You know, those boys look so, so sweet sleeping!

I know! They always look so nice when they're sleeping.

Wow can't believe the boys were sleeping for so long! :cool1:

I love the Fountain of Nations! In fact...I think I'm going to find some Future World music loops on you tube to watch/listen to, I'm missing Epcot right now! :sad1:

I couldn't believe it either, but I was really happy they stayed asleep for that long!

I love Future World music, too and the Fountain of Nations is always such a fun show. When I hear the music, I can always picture myself, right there in Future World, with the fountain shooting into the air.

Hmm...maybe it's not that weird to not mind Beverly. I always assumed most people didn't like it.

We used to always skip Innoventions, too, but I thought Sum of All Thrills sounded really cool. And it is. I just need to design something better next time. Of course, I'd still run to Soarin' first.

We are going back to Disney! Jeremy's going to Orlando on business, so of course the boys and I are going to tag along for that. We'll stay at Coronado Springs and I'll have two days alone in the parks with the boys, but Jeremy will catch up with us in the evenings, and then we'll have a few days after that just to have fun.

All caught up.
Just got back Saturday from our three week Disney Christmas trip.
It was A W E S O M E!!!

That trip sounds so great! I can't imagine how much fun it would be to be at Disney for three weeks during Christmas.
It's always hard fighting Post-Disney Depression, but I bet it's even harder after three weeks of magic. I've heard ICE and Snow is really cool.

I love the Osbourne lights. Didn't they look just a little bit brighter and better this year than they had in years past? The sleigh ride at Fort Wilderness would be awesome, too. I've heard Fort Wilderness has great decorations, but I've never seen them.
I hope you get to go back again really soon, too. :goodvibes

wow the boys were really out.

They were so tired! They'd done a lot that day, I guess.

The pic of the boys sleeping peacefully side-by-side is so cute! It is amazing how angelic kids can look while they are sleeping :littleangel:

I still lord it over him that my hastily designed coaster had a higher thrill ranking than his carefully planned out masterpiece. :rotfl2:

They always look so innocent and peaceful when they're sleeping. It was so nice to have an afternoon with two sleeping little boys.

Maybe that's the problem- too much math in college. :rotfl: I did carefully think through every little detail of my ride until it became clear I was going to run out of time and then it was too late. I'll have to use your method next time!

If I ever get around to trying the Sum of All Thrills, I'm going with your approach - willy nilly! I'm sure I couldn't figure out all the math behind it even if they gave me all day! :lmao:

They ought to tell you to throw the ride together willy nilly in the video. That would be much more useful than the directions they gave.

What a great end to the day! I really hope I can snag us a good ADR time for O'Hana for our next trip. My 2 favorite pictures from this update are (1) Landon smiling with the ice cream all over his chin and (2) you hugging Carter on your lap. Both are so sweet! You can tell how much fun y'all were having! :goodvibes

Wow, Landon definitely looked like he was really enjoying his ice cream.:lmao:

I'm sorry the walk back to the car wasn't as nice as the walk to Epcot, but I'm sure it was well worth it for a great meal like that. I love the picture of your view of the castle as you ate. Seeing that picture and all that good food makes me want to eat there sometime.

Sounds like you all had a nice dinner at Ohana. Based on the pictures, it looked like everyone was very happy. The boys looked adorable with the leis on their heads. I give them kudos for keeping them on. I know several kids that age who would have had them off in a matter of seconds.:rotfl:

Ohana's food looked so good. There's so much of it, though, I'd be afraid someone would have to roll me out of the restaurant.

Your dinner looks delicious, with very child friendly items on the menu.

The sunburn on Jeremy's neck looks painful!

mmmmmmmmmmmm ohana's we love eating there. So much so last trip it was twice. We had a party of 3 and our table was right next to the window looking straight at the castle. We were able to watch the 4th of july fireworks on the 3 while enjoying dinner.:goodvibes

Awww, what a cute update. It looks like yall had a great time at Ohana! The food looks DELICIOUS. On my must-do list, for sure!

Looks like you had a great meal at Ohana! We haven't made it there yet, but it looks like I will have to add it to our must do list!

I have never had dinner at Ohana, but I think we are going to try it this summer. It looks awesome, but we've always avoided because my daughter has a banana allergy and the bread pudding includes bananas. We're going to try it, and hopefully they can arrange some chocolate ice cream from next door Kona Cafe. If not, we'll do with vanilla and then head over to MK for another dessert for her!

It's a shame the noodle made dinner over for him.

We had so much fun eating at Ohana! I hope you get a good ADR for Ohana. It's one of our favorites, but hard to get into lately. I love those two pictures, too. Landon looks so cute and happy with his ice cream and Carter looks really happy, too.

Landon was loving that ice cream!

It did make the walk a little better, knowing what we had waiting for us, once we made it to the car. When we were at Ohana on our honeymoon, we had a great windowside table, so I was hoping we'd have a nice view this time, too. I hope you make it to Ohana someday. It's a great choice with little kids along.

I think that dinner at Ohana was one of my very favorites from the whole trip. We really were all just as happy as we look in the pictures. Carter wasn't too sure about his lei, but Landon loved his. Carter wore it for awhile that night, but Landon kept wearing them around our townhouse the rest of the week.

Ohana's food is delicious! There is a lot of it and it's all good, so getting rolled out of the restaurant is pretty common. No one gets left behind, right? :rotfl:

Your dinner looks delicious, with very child friendly items on the menu.

The sunburn on Jeremy's neck looks painful!

Ohana is great for little guys! The atmosphere in there is fun and noisy, which is good and there's plenty for them to eat.

Isn't that awful looking? I hate blistery sunburns.

I would love to go to Ohana twice in one trip. We could eat there our first night and again on the last night. Watching 4th of July fireworks from the window of Ohana sounds so awesome! Much better than fighting the crowds in MK. Maybe we'll try that someday...

Awww, what a cute update. It looks like yall had a great time at Ohana! The food looks DELICIOUS. On my must-do list, for sure!

Thanks! We were having so much fun at Ohana! I think if I absolutely had to pick a favorite Disney restaurant, if just might be Ohana. It's definitely on my must-do-again list, too.

Looks like you had a great meal at Ohana! We haven't made it there yet, but it looks like I will have to add it to our must do list!

I love Ohana! I hope you get a chance to try it someday. It's very unique and the food is great and the views of the Castle are amazing. I'd love to try it sometime during Wishes.

I have never had dinner at Ohana, but I think we are going to try it this summer. It looks awesome, but we've always avoided because my daughter has a banana allergy and the bread pudding includes bananas. It's a shame the noodle made dinner over for him.

I hope you all have a good time at Ohana this summer. We've only been twice, but both times were amazing. It's such a fun place. Our server brought the boys two separate little bowls of ice cream with Mickey sprinkles without us even asking, so I'm guessing getting a different dessert is pretty common. And with an allergy, they'd probably be even more accommodating.

I thought that was too bad, as well. Carter was loving those noodles until he choked on one. I told Jeremy he should have cut up the noodles, but he never thought of it. :confused3 It seems so obvious.
