Hello family,
I got off the phone this morning and had to gather myself in order to post this so I would get it correct - April is 6 years old and her sister Amanda is 9 - She became sick about 2 years ago, but it appeared that she was recovering very good and even going to school - last week she took very sick and was rush to the Arnold Palmer Hospital where it was told to the parents that without a miracle, April would not make it for very much longer - if there was to be a cruise - it had to happen now - She has 3 little friends, one of them being Brooke who is 9, is in a wheelchair due to a birth defect but otherwise functions very well who is also going with her - of course she is upset about her friend, but thrilled they are going on this cruise - April, I understand, has not yet been told about this cruise. My friend and I are trying to get a limo for these 3 families just in case something does happen, they will not have to drive home.
I understand the principal from these children's school has been more than supportive - April is being brought home today from the hospital to get her ready for her big time -
I have just learned that D.A.I.D did it again and is "on top of things" ----- All she wants and asking is to talk to Mickey and Minnie ---and knowing D.A.I.D from the experience with Nate, I am sure April will get her wish.
Thanks for all your support and outpouring of love - I spoke to Brooke's mom just a few minutes ago but she is not aware either that anything is going on including this thread - I do intent to print it afterwards and send it to the parents.
