An Ohana Reunion...The Waterless Cruise...

Did they say you can't include off site people? I wonder if we called and told them our dear Aunt lives in Orlando and wanted to join the 30-50 going, could that happen?

Another possibility is if people are not maxing out their room occupancy, they can "book" some extra people in their room, even though they wouldn't actually be staying there. At least for DVC, it wouldn't cost anything extra to do that. For example, if a family of 3 was staying in a 1-bedroom suite, they can book another couple in the room, since it can actually hold 5. Then they would be listed on an on-property reservation and could be part of the Grand Gathering group.

Diane,

Is this the number you tried to get info on a dessert party?

Yes I called & they said that anyone that links has to have a WDW resort reservation number. Of course I didn't give the dear old aunt that lives in Orlando story. You want to try it? LOL

That is a thought! I could add one person to my reservation number.

Yes that's the number I called to ask about the dessert party. Funny thing is...it's the same person I got when I called 407-WDW-MAGIC when I called to ask about the Grand Gathering.

You are crazy!!! It was so cold here yesterday!!! It was 50 during the day w/ winds from the north. I'm sure that Florida is like Texas (at least this part of TX) even when it is cold it is still sunny so, it isn't *that* bad!

I don't like the cold, but it is such a nice change from all the heat. It was really nice yesterday and today it looks dreary. A bit cold as well. The view from the window shows all the leaves all over the place. A lot of the trees have lost their leaves. I like the change in seasons. Off to the show today. Going to see Ave Q.DS couldn't get a ticket near me so I don't think he is going. How did the show go last night?
Has anyone found out how Desiree is????

The show went great -- except Claire broke character and made eye cotact with a little boy on the front row! UGH!!! She won't do that again! ;)

We have 2 shows today so, we will be at the theater from 1:30 to about 10:30 tonight.....

Cheryl needs to update on Des! Since I have such wierd hours this week I didn't want to call a different time zone!

Hi everyone!

Thought I would send an update since I am currently out of the hospital..it's been a long week and it's not over yet. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

I thought I had the stomach flu when I left Arizona on Monday...drove home in pretty bad pain and unfortunately vomiting...I just wanted to get home. On Tuesday..it didn't go any better and I went to the ER..turns out my gallbladder is full of stones but the bad party is that all 3 of my ducts were completely blocked with stone and I was turning yellow due to my liver starting to fail. I had a procedure on Wednesday that took care of that and a stint put in. I sat in the hospital until yesterdy waiting to have surgery to remove my gallblader. Unfortunatly, after 4 days in the hospital..I was advised that my local hospital no longer takes our insurance! :scared1: (I already have a bill of over 37K!) This will be a fun fight as they were required to nofiy me immediately. Anyways...I was discharged without the 2nd surgery and will now go to a new hospital next week that does honor the insurance. (They just dropped my insurance a few months ago and we had gone there several times before) Anyways...I am hoping that I do not have much pain until I can get the surgery and then I will go in during Jan or Feb and have the stint removed.

That's it in a nutshell!

I'm glad you're doing better than you were, but that whole insurance thing sucks. We'll definitely keep you in our thoughts and prayers that you will be comfortable and healthy until your surgery next week, and then a full and speedy recovery after that.:grouphug:

Oh, my!!!!! I am so sorry that you were feeling so bad. I can't believe that as soon as you filled in your admission papers they didn't tell you about the insurance thing!!!!
I'm going to ask my brother about that -- for the past yr or so (until the cancer came back) he was working in ER admissions.
I can't believe they took that long to tell you!

Hi everyone,

I will be going to the Dr. tomorrow to hopefully find out when my surgery will be. I am hoping it will be this week.

Anyways..on a vacation note..where is everyone staying? I need to know where I am switching my ressie to in Jan. I am planning on either BCV or BV with a lean towards BCV.

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving & survived Black Friday! :goodvibes

Hi Diane,

If we're the only ones off site (Dolphin/Swan, I'm always confused about what they consider perks about staying there) I would consider switching my hotel. :upsidedow

Mike, who knew you were so diabolical...

I MISS YOU ALL !!!

(and now I'm late getting ready for work, which means the kids will be late getting up & I'll have to make up some story about how I was busy this morning)

I was thinking the same thing. It's their job to know if they accept your insurance.

If you can't get away without paying the bill, tell them you'll pay no more than 15% of charges. They should jump on that considering most hospitals don't collect on non-insurance bills.

I think Dolphin Swan are considered on site

Yep Tom's right, the Swolphin is considered on site so you'd be eligible for grand gatherings. Anyway there is more than one family "off-site". We already have stuff planned, i.e. dinner at O'Hana, night at Jellyrolls so no big deal if we don't end up doing a dessert party. We could always just plan another meet somewhere else. We'll find out more when I call to get prices in January or February.

We're planning on BCV, but it all depends on whether I can get a 1br there in January.
