An item i would like to see in all Villa's.....

By the way, isn't toothbrushing optional at WDW???;)

Uh, no stove in the studio. Are you willing to give up the closet or the sink/microwave/toaster/etc to add the stackable washer and dryer.

Or they could put it there the sleeper sofa is and put cushions on it for either sleeping or sitting.

all this time i thought there was one:rotfl2: proves that I NEVER cook on vacation, let alone look for the stove. Can't say i ever noticed the microwave either-will have to pull out my pics to see where it is? Long as there's a mini fridge & coffee pot, i'm happy.

that said, I believe the closet in current configuration is too shallow for the unit, although very long. At best they could bump out the wall next to the bed and stick a stacking unit in the closet area:confused: closest to bathroom sink. They would have to move everything a few feet toward the balcony; not sure if it would fit in every resort configuration.

JMHO, if they'd decide to place them in one of the resorts that tends to fill up last (OKW/SSR-whatever - there'd be a run on them;) ).

to the OP, just thought of chair i saw in one of the catalogs that comes with regularity to my house...they do make a wooden chair (ala a basic kitchen chair) that is hinged somehow that it flips over & becomes a 3 step stool - looked very sturdy:idea:

My young ones are short as well and this has never been an issue and I can't really figure out why. We have never moved a chair in there or anything like that.

I think they just boost themselves up there and have their tummies pressed into the ledge of the counter while their feet dangle... :lmao: :rotfl:

Hey, what can I say? I have climbers....

I agree with those that think that there could be a liability issue with providing stools. Stools are intended to be stood on, a chair is not. If you fall off a chair, you will not have much of a case because you are not using the chair as intended. I wouldn't be against them having a few that you could ask for. But I doubt that will ever happen. I love the idea about taking the pack n plays out of the rooms. Thanks to the OP for bringing up this topic though. I am bringing my grandchildren on our next trip. So I better think about bringing one of those collapsible ones with us.

I'd vote to take the pack and play OUT of the villas before I'd vote to add footstools. Less clutter that most of us don't use anyway.

A very good point :thumbsup2

Claire ;)

We've stayed at both BCV & VWl and they have laundry baskets. Have yet to come across one at SSR.

So that's my vote. :rolleyes1

hmm, cannot remember how my DSs managed; but they never had a step stool to use (probably gave eachother a boost lol)...however, why not:thumbsup2

my short list - if they'd only put a washer/dryer unit in a studios i'd be delighted to give up the few cubic feet it would require (take out the stove for all i care;) ; while I don't cook on vacation - I do get dirty).

Who washes clothes while on vacation :confused3 I would much prefer the under counter fridge/sink, I do need milk and cold drinks daily and a microwave is handy.

I do. I always go home with clean clothes in my suitcase. That's why I don't stay in a studio. Laundry is not as convenient.

By the time I get home they are so screwed up they need a good wash before ironing!

They only item I would like to see in the villa's is my own personal chef/butler or perhaps a massage therapist... Recliner... TiVo... Automatic Vacuum... self cleaning dishes... Full fridge... hammock...

The washer/dryer may be my very favorite thing about DVC. We use the washer as a laundry chute and I run one load per night. Folding such a small load is no chore for me. I also throw in the day's towels but it did take me a number of trips to remember to leave those out on T&T days. We go home with all clean clothes save the last night's pajamas. Absolutely love it.

Add me to the list of those who don't want a step stool cluttering the unit. While your children are in those years of needing a boost to the sink, it may seem as if it will last forever but it's a very short slice of life IMO.

I too wish the pack and plays weren't stored in the rooms. Same with the high chairs. Since almost all of our stays have been at BCV and the closets there are small, I call and ask Housekeeping to pick up the high chair. It has never been a problem. I stick it in the hall after calling per instructions the first time and it has always been removed quite promptly.

DH & I always stay in a 1 BR and pack half the clothes, wash in the middle of the week and then before we go home. I'd rather have the washer/dryer and clean clothes.
