An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

Ahhhh........ Yul Brenner- be still my heart. :cloud9:

Did someone mention Yul Brynner? I might only be 29 and he may have passed away when I was 5 years old but, I have had an eternal crush on him that has lasted a lifetime! Im pretty sure he was my first crush! Seeing him as Rameses and then as King Mongkut still makes me melt...........ahhhhhhh, Yul Brynner, you gorgeous hunk of a man........

Maroo, we are praying for Lisa.

Liesa, a great bath story...I love it. I was going to ask if Mickey decided to join you with your "cheese." ;)

The gift basket items look great!

When I lived in Manhattan about a hundred years ago when I was a dancer...Yul Brenner lived in the bldg next door. He was very pleasant and always greeted us -"us" being the age 20ish (mostly working) dance students who lived in St. Mary's Catholic Residence for Young Women directly next door and across the street from my still fave Manhattan Catholic church - not that it has anything to do with anything.:confused3

Those were the days.....sigh..

Liesa, your stories often remind me of Little House On The Prairie with a twist. Equally adventurous and amazing! :goodvibes

The good thing about The Magnificent 7 is that they (ALL of them) are truly MMmmm, MMmmmm Magnificent. Yum! Alan Ladd, well, there just are no words.

Seriously, I was bathing with grated cheese! THat's just about as good as waltzing out the door to run without a bra on. :lmao::lmao::lmao: And my slippers on. I crack myself up. :rotfl2:

WOW!!! You actually MET him? and even lived near him. Amazing!! The closest I ever got was seeing him perform The King and I at the Pantages Theater when I was in 4th grade.

Someday, I'll get to tell ALL the stories I want to, but have to wait until I leave here- when I can really spill freely. It's been a wild ride living here. We've seen some pretty amazing things.

I took Mia and Toby to see him in The King and I not long before he retired - it was his last run. We LOVED it - even as I type the memory gives me little chills and teary eyes - seeing Yul, but even more the reaction of my children enjoying Musical Theatre. I am grateful for many such delightful memories.

By the way, he would always greet us with that charming accent , "Good Evening, Ladies" - we would reply, "Good Evening, Mr. Brenner", as if we knew him personally. Every now and then he would ask about our classes and if any of us had audtioned for musicals he would mention by name. It was pretty cool.

Personally, cannot wait until you are free to "spill freely"! In the meantime, enjoying the blog and here, of course. :goodvibes

p.s.Liesa, just noticed your countdown - 3 resorts for your September trip?:thumbsup2

YUP!! We decided to either "Go Big, or Stay Home!"

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I like the idea of having a variety of different feels:

Solo/Group

DDP/ OOP

Value/Deluxe/ In-between

short stay/ longer stay

It's a great mix, I think!:thumbsup2

And what order are you doing these three resorts in (I forget...it's been awhile).

POP: Me and Mary- Solo-ish

Poly: All of us- group

POR: all of us- group until the 12th

Love the "stuff" ... so clever and so thoughtful!

If it makes you feel any better, the lactic acid found in milk/cheese is very good for the skin. Cleopatra, herself, used to bathe in milk so her skin would be soft and supple. ;)

Thanks, Kathy!

Ha! I'll have to remember that. Maybe throwing a cup of cheese into the tub isn't such a bad idea. Now if they just made a lavendar scented variety...

Oh, I'm so relieved! When I read the title, I was thinking all sorts of things. Glad it was just a few wayward strands :goodvibes

Awesome gifties! I'm working on some myself right now for my first client. (woohoo)

I LOVE that! Way to turn a floatie into a spa experience!

Maroo, Lisa is in my prayers

Love your cheese bath story!

Wonder what other food would be fun to bath with? :confused3 Pizza? Cheerios? Pulled pork? popcorn::

You know... the sad thing is that with all of our other sewer woes, it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility that I'd end up bathing with an "altogether different kind of floatie"!!! :scared1:

Only you, and Kathy, would think of such a thing. Maybe I should mention that I'd like some grated cheese floaties brought down from 1900 PF if I end up spa-ing. :confused3:lmao: IMAGINE the looks on the masseuse's (sp?) face!!! :rotfl2:

hmmm.... It would be like bobbing for treats. Remember that story I told about Bek eating beans off the camping waste dump screen?? :lmao::lmao:

I can't believe how much I've missed:scared1:, well... maybe I can, but really I know I was MIA for awhile, but it wasn't that long :confused3:rolleyes1

Ok well I'm back at least right? And I didn't miss the trip, so that has to count for something, but I'm signing back in and hope to go back and skim through all I've missed. Looks like though two good things, you are still moving back to the states and you are still going on trip... are these two correct?

OH MY GOODNESS!!! You are back!! I totally thought you were really, really gone! and I was so sad. I clicked on the posters the other day, to see who else was MIA, and it is not only you. :confused3

I was thinking about you when I was trying to think of a way to pull off a Nashville Meet again. It's ending up that I only have about about a week there, and with getting my son situated at school, visiting family and hopefully running a 5K in Bowling Green, I just don't know how it will work. Wanna fly up to DC with me, and do our Meet up there with all of us?? That one is for sure!!!

Anyway, YES, moving back August 17th with some extraordinarily fun stuff along the way, AND the trip IS STILL ON!!! And getting more exciting everyday!

One of my ALL TIME FAVORITES!!! Who doesn't like some Bill Murray?? :confused3 And dookies in the pool? I've heard the POP pool gets regularly evac'd for such instances. ;)

Never knew that about the POP pool!!!!! :scared1::scared1: :eek: :scared1::scared1:

DOOKIE!!!! :lmao: I haven't watched this movie in a while... I need to. :surfweb:

Hello!! Can anyone say....PACKING!!! :yay: That's pretty much what I've been doing off and on all day. And I haven't finished!
I helped my son get packed and a lot of what I needed done to get some of my stuff packed. I feel like I'm going to forget something!!! I've had a list made for a while, and add things to the list as needed to remind me to get things done....I can't believe it's all or nothing tomorrow!!! :scared:
If I don't get it done then, then it's not getting done....we leave for the airport at 4:45 a.m. and :yay:
